Took my family here on Saturday. It was my twins birthday and I was flipping the bill for a 7 of us. I had a reservation that I had made two weeks ago. There was no mention that they had no heat. I did mention that it was my twin's birthday. They put us in a small booth when I showed up there. I asked to get two tables put together and maybe sit in the middle of the restaurant because it was so cold by the window they would not accommodate the restaurant was being heated by portable heaters that weren't doing a very good job I wore my winter coat through the whole dinner same with the rest of my dinner clan. When my food finally did come I had to send it back because it was overcooked the waitress, which was hard to find because they were so cool. They were going back into the kitchen. Must've been a lot warmer in there and when it did come back for the second time, they cooked it in the same oil they cooked the fish in, so I couldn't even eat it. I was not very impressed. they did offer to give my kids a birthday Sundae. But it's way too cold in there to eat sundaes. The servers were always in the back, so the service was not very good. I did still tip well, for I think they were just freezing. The rest of my dinner partys food was pretty good except for maybe the Caesar salad but everything else was good. It was just unfortunate that the heat was not working. It made for an unpleasant time at the restaurant that's why they got three stars. Normally, I have a pretty good time and I would give them a four star would I be going back here? Probably not! I would choose the Langley location or just go to Red Robin's sorry. read more

My go to spot. Even during covid times there take out service was available. I had a juicy burger with fries then but recently i went to dine in the restaurant. After all safety measures, we were taken to our table by a well masked server maintaining proper distance. Our server was the most polite , mannered and well versed person I encountered after long time so our experience started on a good note. Food was even better then anytime before. Certain dishes were unavailable due to onion recall situation but totally understandable. We ordered power bowl n a vegetarian burger with gruyere cheese called vegetarian mushrooms gruyere burger . N hell yah , it came with fresh fried fries. So so yummy n juicy. The power bowl was way better then all the budha bowls and other i have tried at different places. Very nutritious and healthy with fresh cut vegetables , cucumbers, chickpeas, nuts and most importantly holy grain or also called farro which was apple glazed. Can u imagine avacado sauce to be so yummy n tango ? If no then try the sauce avacado crema that they serve with power bowl. Top notch. I wanted to try the blueberry pie but i was too full after my meal. FYI- fresh blueberry pie is their special summer desert. read more

Two words to describe White Spot Guildford "overpriced and unprofessional." I went their and had one sour bread grill cheese sandwich and a small soup. When I received my sandwich it was very mediocre. Only partly grilled and fairly oily on the outside. The soup was pretty good but small. What got me was the price. $10.99 for two pieces of bread and cheese and $2.99 for small soup. Total $13.98. Wow! I went to chat with the manager, and he told me there was nothing he could do. That head office sets the prices. Well Mr. Manager no you may not suggest another dish, because I will never step in side your overpriced establishment again. Having the balls to think that I will spend my hard earn money in a place that takes advantage of people, and when I confront you about it you do nothing. Then think I will come back for more. Always a Canadian classic....such a legend in the pacific northwest...yep we love our burgers and this is the definitive burger in BC. Is it the triple o sauce? Is it the bun or the beef...regardless when i put it all together the results r mouthwatering and satisfying. White Spot offers breakfast options. This restaurant was busy at 9am on a weekend. Unfortunately, service was slow. Water was never refilled. We had to flag our server to get our bill. It felt understaffed for the number of customers. Food was good. No complaints there. The smashbrown potatoes were a nice change from the usual potato options. The kitchen was generous with the hollandaise sauce too. Pancakes could be fluffier but still good. read more

Came in with a group of four, place was busy. The menu lay out is a bit odd, but the choices are rich and varied. The food is always constant, delicious, and if not right they'll redo it. They try very hard to do a good job. This not really an intimate place for a special meal but it is a great place to sit down with friends and have a nice meal at a good price. Them of course there is the treat of doing the car hop route where they bring your food out old school on those long trays... an interesting trip down memory lane. Love the spot! read more

Would love to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to the White spot Guildford in Surrey BC for serving my 6 and a half month old pregnant self a completely raw chicken sandwich.. I called and spoke to the hostess who said she would speak to management and call me back. After an entire week of not hearing anything, I called and spoke to a manger, who yet again said they would speak to whatever manager was on staff that day and get back to me. Once again, nothing! I spent over 150$ on this meal for my family (not including tip) for take out and have yet to hear from anyone. I will never eat at another white Spot again, and urge others to do the same. I also have photos to show this completely raw chicken burger. I ended up getting sick for a good week and a bit and also worried that I passed something onto my baby, but more importantly, wanted to hear from management because someone could have seriously been very ill. Not impressed in the slightest *AND STILL NO REPLY!!! I will continue to post negative reviews until I get some answers* read more

Service here is SOOO SLOW. I rarely eat at White Spot but seriously?? I could probably punch in my own order and get my own drinks before the server would have gotten to me. Not that busy, I can't even imagine how they would function if it was full house. I got the classic eggs Benny. I'm def a fan of the smash browns!! LOVE LOVE LOVE. The eggs were cooked to my liking and the sauce was pretty good. Eggs Benny is all about the hollandaise so I'm glad it tasted as it should. Portion size is ginormous. I had the same dish at another White Spot a while back and only had 4 pieces of the smash browns but here it takes up more than half of the plate! Would I come back? Staff has no clue what to do in in an emegency i wont say what happened, but i will tell you this the staff went into panic over something not very serios and the manager did absolutly nothing about it the salad that was brought to my take had old withered lettuce and i didnt touch it and set it at the end of the table the waitress didnt even ask about anything just served us cold coffee and nasty salad, I paid $15 for withered old salad and a chicken burger should have gone to mcdonlads across the street and saved $10 read more

Good food, but poor service. Two hours from when we sat down to when we got our bill. I got endless fried, and the server never once asked if I wanted more. Well I've officially become a person that feels the need to write a review about a restaurant. I took the time to come up with a username, a password and filled out a profile. Why? Hmmm BECAUSE I JUST HAD A DINING EXPERIENCE SO EXCRUCIATINGLY BAD IT DEFIES ANY LOGIC OR REASONING!!! August 10th, 2016 shall live on as a day I walked into an Outer Limits episode disguised as a burger joint. My sister and I decided to eat out after a long, intense, workout. We saw an advertisement for White Spot stating it was "Adults Pirate Pack Day" and that a small portion would go to a charity revolving around children. We made our way to the restaurant. (Horrible decision) My sister ordered a simple chicken teriyaki stir fry type of dish while I opted for a Pirate Pack. I ordered the Sriracha Turkey Burger however I asked for several changes. Instead of the regular fries I asked for sweet potato fries, a bowl of fruit instead of ice cream, no coleslaw, no soft drink but water instead and I asked for no condiments (apple relish, sririacha, mayo) except for mustard as well as no tomato. Basically I asked for a burger with two buns, a patty and a little mustard. That is all. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity (btw service at this location is consistently slower than slow regardless of how few people populate it) our food finally arrived. My sisters dish while it looked average in presentation in reality consisted of overcooked frozen vegetables and approximately 3 cubes of chicken. My order however without the exception of the sweet potato fries I asked for and the absence of coleslaw was exactly how it was on the menu. Nothing was changed! I was not going to say anything and simply remove the tomato but my sister wasn't having any of that, reminding me in the process of my allergic reaction towards tomatoes. My sister called for the waitress to let her know about this to which she replied "again!" and proceeded to tell us that the kitchen staff screwed up the order to begin with and she had asked to remake it with my specifications. This is why it took so long to get to our table to begin with. The server apologized and said she would ask the kitchen to make it once again. 49 minutes passed as my stomach began eating itself and my sisters dish evolved into a cold congealed piece of garbage. The server returned to my table and brought me my sweet potato fries and small bowl of browned apples slices and grapes and stated the turkey patty would take a little longer. At this point my sister was in a boiling rage telling me I need to say something. How did I feel? Well I could not stop laughing. I wasn't laughing because I thought it was funny...no no. I was laughing because I could not believe what was happening. The level of incompetence was profoundly and unintentionally hilarious. At this point both me and my sister reflected on our horrible life choices that led us to consider White Spot as a suitable place for dinner that night. After the THIRD re-firing of my Pirate Pack and about 8 minutes before the restaurant closed for the night my dinner finally arrived. If you're wondering what my sister's stir fry looked by now...think death. The server apologized and placed 9 chocolate loonies on the table. How was the burger this time? WRONG AGAIN! First of all it was sat on a greasy disgusting pile of fries I didn't ask for. Remember I ordered sweet potato fries. The patty was scorched and unrecognizable as turkey, it was lathered in sriracha sauce! Soggy gross buns. I ate the patty and nothing else. Asked for the bill and told the server that while I believe she tried to fulfill her part literally everything that happened culminated in one of the worst dining experience's not only I but my sister also faced. I payed over 20 dollars, I asked the server to make it possible to have a larger portion of my bill/tip to go towards the charity as the only redeemable act I could imagine possible. I left the restaurant hungry and still laughing,again not because it was funny but because I was completely blind sided by everything that had just occurred. Also on our way out of the establishment my sister noticed a large atrocious bucket of unidentifiable slop/slime on the already disgusting floor in full view of several patrons........ eeeeyyyyuuuuckkkkk! read more

I really enjoy the morning staff here. The breakfast menu is a bit limited, but that is not a problem since they do a great job on the things that I like. In particular the spot omelette is a light and fluffy three egg confection that I could eat everyday. read more

My husband and I went to white spot for an evening drink. We sat at the bar and waited 10 minutes for a bartender that never came. We spoke to the manager who said that they only had one server on and no bartender, then went back to what he was doing. Service is usually touch and go, however if you do get a waitress they are usually pretty good. However I wouldn't go on a Thursday night since there is only 1 and the manager is rude!! read more

Pretty bad for a Saturday night. It wasn't that busy at all, but the service was super slow (our waitress had 4 tables to cover and it was still super slow). Our appetizer dish wasn't cleared before our dinner arrived (not at all, actually). Food was poor, super soggy salad, the Beef dip was also saturated in butter, really fatty. The clubhouse has changed, as has the calamari. It's really gone down hill and I doubt we will be returning to this particular family favourite. read more

Me and my fiancé went here for lunch, i ordered a steak and he ordered some pasta with chicken. BOTH the steak and the chicken were not cooked properly. Not to mention i was brought the wrong side with my steak. When we sent the food back i could hear the servers in the back saying they would eat the rare food that we sent back which is gross and really unprofessional! WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO. they don't even deserve 1 star. This white spot is a joke. The staff there are beyond rude. A family friend of mine had her very small dog in the restaurant with us (service dog) and they asked her to put the dog away, which is fine and understandable. We had her kennel. Then we had someone from management stand by our table the whole time afterward staring and it was very intimidating. We then waited over 45 minutes for cold food. By this point we were just going to leave because of how rude the staff was to us. The guy who was standing by our table staring could've helped the kitchen and brought out our food. We then had a different server and when we told her that our fries were cold she went to the back and started yelling about how we were complaining and we could hear the whole thing. The staff made our party very uncomfortable. I didn't end up eating any of my food and the server came out and said sorry and took my meal off of the bill but the damage was done. I'm not usually one to complain and I really enjoy white spot, I used to eat here often. I will never return or recommend the Guildford location. It's not the first time we've had problems with the staff but this time it was super out of hand and I hope something is done about the management and the staff below them. Worst White Spot burger ever, not kidding! And non-existent service. I would have sent my meal back but she never came by or asked how the food was. We had a legendary burger and bigger burger mushroom Monty. Zoo sticks undercooked, burgers very overcooked and no flavor at all. I don't know how they managed to make a burger without flavor, but they did. Also the clam chowder was awful, I ate maybe half of that and half my burger. The only things half decent were the fries and coke. Tyler the Mgr on Duty gave us a 40 percent reduction which made up for it somewhat, but it's not the money at all, I just wish we never went there at all. I won't go back to that location again. One other thing, we asked to be moved because the air conditioner was blowing cold air on us, it made no sense because it was freezing outside, and why would they be blowing cold air, the whole restaurant was cold. I'm a grown man wearing a leather jacket and kept it on the whole time. Thanks again to Tyler for hearing us out, but I think it's time to retrain the cooks and serving staff. read more

White Spot is one of our regular restaurants which we visit at least once a month. This evening was a huge disappointment. While we were seated within the suggested time frame for our party of eight, the service went downhill from there quite quickly. No cutlery on the table. The waitress took appie orders at the same time as drink orders and didn't allow us enough time to view the menu before she was gone. The appies came but no cutlery. My brother's order was almost cold by the time the waitress bought a pile of cutlery on one plate and we had to share it around our group of 9. Once our main courses arrived, the waitress disappeared. My husband had to ask for the "seafood" portion of his salmon and seafood trio. Yes, he needed a dish that was dairy-free but he still wanted the seafood just couldn't eat the sauce part. Meanwhile, the waitress never asked us how our meals were. The only time I had an opportunity to make mention of the inedible salad I received was when she came to clear the plates. I was not impressed when she came back to tell me that they were out of the Spot Salad but would a Caesar be okay. It was only 7:30 pm. Who is out of a mixed salad that early in the dinner hour? White Spot has been a part of our lives for over 60 years having grown up by the original White Spot on Granville Street. This was a far cry from the original. And then they didn't take the salad off the bill without us bringing it to our attention. We love the White Spot but won't be back to this one any time soon. read more

Took nearly 30 minutes to get our food on a slow Thursday night. At the end, my wife asked for strawberry ice cream for our children to go and was given chocolate.
