Found this place while driving home from getting an estimate from a chain auto repair shop. Needed to get my AC compressor replaced. Guys were friendly, took a look at my car right away. Quoted me a price WAY better than the previous place. Said they could have it replaced by the end of the day, if not the next morning. They called me at 7, said my car was ready for pick up. The shop closed at 6 so wasn't expecting it. When asked, he said they promised me that it would be ready by the end of the day and they keep their word. The person you see there, says he is a mechanic but the truth is he is not. If somebody takes their car to get fixed he says he will fix it in 2-3 days hes a big liar. He likes to take everybodys money but doesnt fix the car. When is time to get the car, he didnt do what he was supposed to. So he likes to rip people off. If someone wants to take a car there they should think again. If you want to report him do it with the cops. I reported him because he worked on my car, he said he will have it ready by 3 days but he took 3 weeks, yet he didnt do anything to it. I took the car with the tow truck so he can fix it saying it was the motor and it took him 3 weeks just for him to say to take my car back home with a tow truck. What kind of mechanic he think he is, having to bring my car home with A TOW TRUCK . I recommend for no one to being their car there. Now i have to take him to court to get my money back because he didnt do anything. Thats not fair that i have to take my car home with a tow truck. All yall do is rip people off and take their money. You think i wont do anything but i will. Even if the courts are closed no matter what we are going to court. My friend Kaz referred me to these guys. I have nothing but trouble with my car every 5months or so and so I gave them a try. My bill was high ($1500) because they could only get the cat converter from the dealership so they cut me a deal on the labour. They warned me the engine light MAY come back on. Two wks later... !Bing! Took it back in, had to rent a car .. More money ( do u get the feeling how oooover this car I am yet?) they explained to me the emissions problem, the why's where and hows and then sent 'me on my way no charge and reminded me in goodwill to bring it back if any further issues. These guys are honest, hardworking and easy to talk to. I am trading in this hunk and will continue to see them for future work. From my experience I highly recommend WRPS!!!!! read more

I've gone here a few times for oil changes. Price is reasonable, but the place isn't very clean and they seem to take a 2-hour lunch at a rather odd time of day, so don't go between about 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Not sure why somebody can't stay and do oil changes, but whatever. More puzzling is the fact that my girlfriend called to get a quote on having a part installed that she had purchased at the auto parts store. Apparently they won't do a simple installation without first running their own diagnostic check. I tried to explain that I'm not holding them accountable for actually fixing the problem, just installing the idle control valve (which 2 places had already diagnosed as being the problem). No dice. Must. Do. Diagnostic. Check. First. Of the 5 places we called for a quote, this is the only one to give that particular run-around. I won't be going back. read more

Going to the White Rock Pit Stop was by far, the worst decision I've ever made in my life. 99% of the time I make my decisions for businesses off of reviews, but sadly this time it sent me to the wrong business. I contacted "Paco" about doing an engine swap because in 5 reviews I heard good things about him inparticular. Well don't let reviews fool you because these guys are a huge rip off. Paco told me it would take 2 days, it took almost a week he let me know at one point that it was done but when I told him I was on my way you told me to wait because there was a problem. Which I'm assuming meant that they started running my truck and figured out that they had done something wrong. I mentioned to him that the ECT valve needed replacing and then a few days later he told me that I was right!! He should have known that. If I hadn't brought it up he probably wouldn't have changed it. I told him when I came that any parts or anything that he needed, just let me know and I would pay for it on top of what he was already. He changed nothing except for the ECT valve that I told him needed to be changed. I'm actually questioning whether he did or not at this point. When I got to the shop, I gave him almost $600. Then I noticed that my front bumper was zip tied on! My Chevy emblem was broken. He told me that it was like that before I gave it to him, which is completely false. My husband then explained​ to him that something didn't sound right with the engine, it was making an odd sound he told my husband that it was like a new pair of shoes you had to break it in. But I'm sorry there's no way you have to break in an engine either it goes or it doesn't. I took the vehicle straight to my home because the registration was out, two days later I drove it two miles down the road to go get it inspected and all the sudden the reduced engine power light came on, the car wouldn't go past 20. I pulled over, called "Paco" and explained to him what was going on and he told me to bring it to his shop. When we arrived at the shop the gentleman said that he would take a look at it, but the engine reduced power had come on because of the radiator, there is no way that light would come on because of the radiator!!! Then he explains to me that I should replace radiator and thermostat, I then explained that that's all fine and good but that has nothing to do with what's going on with my car. I left my car there a few days later he told me that he changed the throttle body and it was still doing the same thing, I told him we have a 90 day warranty and that he needed to fix whatever he did wrong. He said my radiator needed to be replaced, my radiator was just fine before he got his hands on it. He explained to me that I must have run the car hot and that's why it did that I explained to him that I had not even run the car much less run it hot I live 4 miles from his shop and I hadn't even driven the car except from the shop to my house. He was always really professional around my husband but when he spoke to me via text or on the phone he talked to me like I was an animal. Very disrespectful. As he continued to run his mouth off I told him that this is no way to treat a customer he told me to get my car off of his property he was done with it. I then had to pay $70 to get it towed. I'm currently having another mechanic look at it and he's telling me that the engine was not installed correctly and that the throttle body was never changed, when you grab the engine you can actually move it with your hands, it rocks from left to right!! That's surely not normal. Everyone said so many nice things about Paco but what they don't understand is Paco doesn't do any work at all. All he does is sit in the office, his hands never get dirty. A gentleman named Rudy apparently does the work and of course get no credit for it, but he shouldn't get credit for it anyways because it's shotty work. I suggest everyone stay away from this place all they do is rip you off. In my case they did they work half assed and incorrect, but from what I'm learning is, in the midst of working on one problem on your car, they mess up another problem with your car just to make you come back and spend even more money.. All they do is rip you off here so be careful. P.s he is now refusing too make his wrong into a right! I kind of stumbled upon this place because it was close to my house, but Paco took amazing care of me. I was THAT customer that gave him a deadline because I had a car emergency and it's during finals week for me, but he had everything taken care of punctually and even went out of his way to find new rims for my car. After calling around to every shop in east dallas looking for a starter for my honda, I decided to go with these guys b/c they were cheap and close. Yes, their shop is dirty, but who cares???? They are so nice, prices are reasonable and they are open every day of the week so the turnaround is fast. Just took my honda in again b/c my catalytic converter was stolen from it (in the stupid Trader Joes parking lot) and they only took an hour to estimate it, call me back and give me a fair price. They seemed OK, but here's why I don't trust them. They are always saying you need a transmission oil change. Manufacturer on my car says every 70,000 miles. They want to do it on practically every visit. After I started reading old receipts, the trust factor vanished for me. read more

My husband and I have been brining our cars to WhiteRock pit stop for a few years. The guys there are VERY nice and honest. The prices are very resonable and this is the first car shop that we honestly don't feel like we are being ripped off. They always do little extras for us at no cost which is nice. Everyone was very friendly, and helpful. The work was quick and good quality. They were very reasonably priced and didn't try to upsell me or take advantage of me because I'm a woman. The waiting room was small and old but clean, smelled nice, air conditioned, and has a large window so you can watch them work. They have a 90 day warranty on all their labor. It may not be a fancy building where all the mechanics where uniforms and serve you tea and biscuits, but they do the job and do it well. And if you really need the tea and biscuits there is a starbucks behind the building. read more
