I only brought my car here for a state inspection. They happened to be the closest inspector to me while I was driving and saw that my drive cycle had completed, and I needed to get it done before a check engine light came back on. That said, I could tell from talking to Steve (and also watching him briefly interact with another customer) that he is legit. He reminds me of every mechanic I've really liked and felt like I could trust. You can just tell with some people by how they talk about what they do and how they look you in the eye that they are trying to do the best work they can for you and not just looking at you and seeing dollar signs. I have been going to the same mechanic for 15 years so probably not looking to make a change to that right now -- don't fix what isn't broken, right? -- but If I ever need to take my car somewhere else it will be here. read more

Craig was fantastic. He was upfront about everything so there were no surprises. Along with the AC repair I needed I asked them to give my car a thorough inspection as I was going to be taking a long road trip soon. They checked it out and let me know my breaks were close to needing replacement but he also mentioned they looked like they'd be good enough for the trip. There was no pressure from him at all. Just the facts. I went ahead and got the breaks done too. In all I had an AC hose fixed, freon added, breaks replaced and an oil change and the price was very reasonable. I've got an older car so it's always possible for something to go wrong on the road but I'm feeling way more comfortable about the drive now that these gentlemen have checked it out. Like another reviewer on this site, I know Craig and Steve from a previous autorepair business and wish the best for them as they strike it out on their own. These two are simply the best at what they do-- experienced, frank, and very fair with their pricing. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else outside of dealer warranty work. As for their integrity-- man, I don't know any other shop owners that tell you straight up what your vehicle needs (and more importantly what it doesn't need.) Not once did they ever try to push extra services or spring surprise fees on me or my wife. Craig and Steve have kept our two cars with a total of 500,000 miles on them in top running and safe condition and we have used Craig for over 20 years. Last week they gave me a cost estimate for a list of things they had identified that needed to be done on the 1999 Tahoe with 330,000 miles on it. I OK'd it. Then, as part of the process of doing the work, they added items and services to make sure everything was safe and sound. Even with all the added stuff the final bill was slightly less than the original estimate. They stand behind their work. Every time I've had a question they have addressed my concern. Anybody can attempt to repair your car or truck. Those that can't usually have an explanation or will make more attempts to do what they aren't qualified to do, usually at your cost.
