I went to 3 different Columbus bridal salons before coming to White of Dublin. It had been a long day and I was beginning to feel let down because, while I liked many gowns, I still had not had the feeling yet that I had found "THE ONE" that so many girls experience. Roth asked me a few questions about my wedding, my style, and budget. He and Heather began to pull a few gowns for me and begin my room while allowing my guests to shop and pull dresses for me that they also liked. Roth started the process by putting my in a dress I would have NEVER PICKED, but he knew that the shape would look stunning on me, be perfect for my venue, and be the vibe I wanted. I instantly was floored. Roth showed me exactly how the dress would fit and clipped it perfectly. He added sleeves to show how we could customize the gown, pulled out a veil and flowers, while Heather was putting in clips in my hair, all the while making me feel like a beautiful bride. I looked stunning and I cannot WAIT to go back to try on my dress when it arrives. Roth and Heather took care of my guests, gave out champagne, and actually had us laughing and having a great time after what was an exhausting day. I still can't believe how beautiful I'm going to look on my day and it is all thanks to Roth and Heather. I got all the feels trying on this gown, and knew it was the one. Came here to look for a dress and staff seemed nice, but the dress selection here is wayyy too small to be charging a $50 try on fee and all the dresses seem really overpriced. Staff were a little bit pushy about getting measurements taken and that sort of thing before I even decided that I wanted the dress. And I agree that they didn't seem give sincere feedback. Overall, I really regret spending the money to come here and would recommend other bridal shops (La Jeune Mariee or Wendy's Bridal) in Columbus over this one. read more

A seamstress named Cora that worked out of White of Dublin MANGLED my wedding gown and I had to have it reconstructed in the hours leading up to my wedding. I would stay away from this place and anyone that has anything to do with it at all possible costs. During my fittings, the White of Dublin staff kept coming back and remarking how great the dress looked eventhough the seamstress had mangled it beyond repair. It looked like a gathered stitch instead of a flat one, on the right hip and right butt of the dress. She cut away the fabric, making it impossible to fix. She did such a horrendous job (and ultimately gave up!) that we had to take the dress to a different seamstress in the hours leading up to the wedding, which I had obviously other matters to attend to. Skip the hassle, stay as far away as possible! read more

I would not recommend this store for your wedding dress shopping experience. The staff were nice, but I felt that they were trying to sell a used car and not a wedding dress for one of the most memorable days off your life. The sales pitch was obnoxious and took away from the experience.They didn't listen to what the bride wanted and I felt they were not honest in what they were saying throughout the session.. I was extremely disappointed, thought the dresses were way over priced and upset that the bride left feeling upset due to be being pressured into buying a dress she didn't like.. I tried on a dress that i liked but didn't love and I only tried on one dress because the only other gown I'd think about trying on was $12k. This store has a sad sad selection of gowns. They all looked very similar and personally i felt like they looked very matronly which was not the vibe i was going for. Today we did a much needed and anticipated bridesmaid dress appointment. I am one of seven bridesmaids and the bridesmaid dresses have been under discussion via group messaging for many weeks. The designer had been decided and we chose White of Dublin based on their stock of the chosen designer. The actual lay out of the place is very elegant, simple, classic and feels exclusive (being on the 2nd floor). The dresses we had to choose from were good, not great, but that comes with the small local bridal shop versus a warehouse or brand name chain. The reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is I felt that the other bridal shoppes we've been to were more welcoming, or mainly the person helping us. Also, other places were much easier to schedule with. The woman who helped us today was pleasant but seemed distracted and I was under the impression, as we gave input into the selections, that she did not care. But she was not trying to be rude. So I would go back to White of Dublin, and stress the fact that we want to work with the employee and have fun before coming in. read more

My experience here was great UNTIL my dress came in an I realized how much it needed altered. The lady that helped me was very attentive and understood the look I was going for, the free champagne and cupcake samples was also a plus. The sample dress I tried on in the store fit me like a glove except I wanted it to be a little larger in the chest (I was spilling out of it). I was worried it was almost too short (I'm tall) but a few employees agreed it was a good length and said I would save money on not having to get it hemmed. The lady took my measurements and showed me how my measurements compared to the dress sizes and told me I should go off of my bust size to make sure it fit my bust and the rest could be taken in. I put my initials next to the size she recommended because she made it seem like the alterations needed would be no big deal, the dress ordered was 4 sizes larger than the sample . I even questioned her how much she thought it would cost to take the dress in that much and she said something to the effect of "seamstress's do it all the time it won't be that bad" When I picked up my dress I obviously noticed it was too large but the sales lady pulled it tighter and assured me it would be a "quick and easy fix" for the seamstress. Oh and that dress that wasn't going to need hemmed? Well now that it's 4 sizes larger the length is also ALOT longer(past my toes now and was 1-2 inches above my feet in the sample). Why did they not think to tell me this?? Obviously the sales associates here don't have a good understanding of what alterations cost. My seamstress said I should go back to the store and ask for 2 sizes smaller to save $400 on alterations but its a little too late for that after I've signed my name all over everything and my weddings a month away. My alterations are going to end up being $800-900...not ok!! ALSO, when I called to ask for them to send me the list of preferred seamstresses and to schedule a time to pick up my dress the lady seemed very annoyed that I "lost" the list they supposedly already sent which they didn't. I expected a more friendly/accommodating customer service from this place. read more

I rarely give reviews but I have to give a warning against this one. We ordered 7 bridesmaid dresses from this store and paid $200 in rush fees to get them early. We were promised (in writing) to receive them by that date and they came in almost THREE WEEKS LATER!! We had to rush to get alterations done in order to be ready for the wedding. When we spoke to the owner, Heather, about it, she told us that the dresses coming in late "wasn't her problem". She actually told us that "we got the dresses much sooner than we would have if we hadn't paid the rush fees and we have the dresses now and she already has our money so she wasn't concerned." Really?! What an absolutely terrible business owner. We paid the rush fees to get the dresses sooner and ended up getting them by the date we were promised for regular shipping but she was completely unwilling to refund any of the rush fees. So incredibly disappointing. I would never recommend this store to anyone. Find another store that has the dress you want!!! read more

What a wonderful shopping experience! They wonderful staff greets you at the door and offers you a mimosa or Bellini to enjoy while you shop. The dresses start at $2K and they are up front about that when you make the appointment. The store and the dresses are beautiful. I did not find my dress here, I had already found it at an earlier appointment, but wanted to see what they had. My only complaint is that their samples were smaller than the other stores and it was hard for me to get an idea of the dress (I am a size 12). I recommend this store to any bride with a modest budget. read more

I live in Chicago but was raised in the Columbus area, so having my wedding AND trying on wedding gowns in Columbus was a no brainer. I searched online and White of Dublin stood out immediately, the pictures looked elegant, wasn't far from my parents AND they give you champagne :)!!! My experience trying on their dresses was everything I dreamed it would be. It is appointment only which allows you to have the whole store to yourself and give you those personal moments with your family/friends that you need to help you with your decision. Also, Heather and Diane were great and the store itself is STUNNING as well as the dresses in it. For some reason I had a change of heart with my wedding gown and returned two days later to see if I was able to purchase my second choice instead. They were very understanding about my change of heart and didn't make me feel embarrased at all--even though I was very embarrassed with myself that I changed my mind--both dresses were soo great! I absolutely LOVE my dress and can't wait to return to pick my dress up when its ready!!! I will take my friends, sisters, sister's friends etc here when they are ready to try on their wedding dress as well. This experience blew me away!:) read more

I didnt think I was going to be able to find my dress in Columbus, but my friend pushed me to go to appoitment just to get an idea of a shape that I wanted then I was going to look around. I was a bride that was affected from Elegant Bride in Dublin suddenly closing their doors and making off with my deposit for my wedding gown in March 2018. I contacted the manufacturer of my gown and confirmed they indeed never received funds to make my gown, and they instructed me to work with one of their authorized retailers White of Dublin. I spoke with Heather one of the owners, and she was well aware of the situation of brides that had been swindled by Elegant Bride. I explained to her that I was actually undercharged for my dress (since the Elegant Bride owner wanted my money once I told her my max budget was 2k she told me she would sell the dress I wanted to me for $1950, I came to find out the dress actually retails for $2500). Heather agreed to match the price of $1950. I also bought a beautiful headpiece/birdcage that matches my gown perfectly. I was totally blown away by their empathy, and willingness to work with me, and they were responsive, prompt and professional. I would definitely recommend White of Dublin for any bride! read more

I cannot recommend this place more for bridal. As a veteran bridesmaid, I've had my share of trials and tribulations with bridal shops and online dress ordering. This was my first time coming to off white. Martha was fantastic and I felt at ease throughout the entire experience. The bride lives out of state and just choose a line and each girl could pick the style that best suited her. I came in for a fitting to try on WToo dresses (without an appointment) and they were so helpful and let me try on the whole line. I never felt pressured to buy or choose that day, in fact they get me a very generous timeline for when I could order what dress I wanted. Unlike Wendy's where I did the same thing - Wendy's made it seem like I was late to the game and had to order/purchase immediately. They took all the stress out of the process and recommended amazing seamstresses. I cannot comment to their bridal prices but the bridesmaids prices were on par with "cheaper options" but the service was 100x better. read more

I had a horrible experience with White of Dublin, I would have given them zero stars if I could and would NOT recommend that anyone shop at this establishment, for their wedding dress. I bought a $2,700.00 Pronovias dress that they ordered for me in the wrong size. They rounded up a size and DID NOT DISCUSS this issue with me which was very dishonest and an example of an overall bad business practice which they cover up by insisting that you sign a contract before your purchase. I was one size (the accurate size for my body) in my chest and hips and was later told that my waist was one inch larger than what could be ordered in alignment with my chest and hips. So instead of discussing this issue with me, (I could lose one inch in my waist in two weeks) they simply rounded up a size and again, never told me that they were making this decision. So I ended up signing a contract without all of the information. I assumed that when they measured me, they were ordering a dress that would fit me. They made it seem like everything was perfect and were just trying to close the sale without having a full discussion with me about what they were planning on ordering. When I came to try it on, it was too large and did not fit!!! They handed me a bottle of wine and spent NO time with me to see how it fit or to help me with accessories or to even see if I was pleased with the purchase. After getting quotes for what this store refers to as "standard alterations," that were $600-$800, I called the store manager Heather, to try to return the dress or exchange it for a smaller size that actually fit. She refused to make the situation right because I had signed their contract. She even tried to state that I had been told that they rounded up a size, this was something that I NEVER would have agreed to have happen. I can lose ONE INCH in my waist VERY EASILY. Again, no one told me they ordered a larger size, when I signed the contract and paid for the dress and she tried to state that her sales people always discuss this issue. She made me feel as if she thought I was lying to her and that I could have used a document to state that I want the smaller size however this CAN'T HAPPEN IF I WAS NEVER TOLD FROM THE BEGINNING THAT THEY ROUNDED UP A SIZE. I never would have agreed to round up a size based on one inch in my waist. She told me that they would not return or exchange the dress for the correct size and gave me the name of a tailor that I could hire (sew Cora) and called her to take 100 dollars off of the costs for alterations. This by no means, made up for the terrible experience I had with this store. It ruined the wedding dress experience for me and I would not wish this situation on anyone, however, they did the same thing to my best friend's little sister a few months later and she is now dealing with the exact same situation that I am. read more

I had an appointment a couple weeks ago at Off White of Dublin, and could not find a page to post a review, but I was the first bride to have an appointment at their new location so that is understandable. My experience mainly focuses on Off White, but I also had a great experience picking my headpiece and veil at White next door! First of all I found the the overall appointment at Off White to be wonderful. Martha seemed so genuinely interested in helping me get the dress of my dreams that it created that magical wedding dress search feeling I was looking for! This is an exciting time and I think every bride deserves to feel this way. It was my first bridal appointment ever, and I did not have a clear idea of I was looking for other than a truly unique dress. Martha was full of great information regarding what can and cannot be done to alter a dress to fit a bride's needs. Without her guidance I would never have known what my options were, so this place is perfect for both the bride that has been planning her wedding since childhood, and for brides like myself who are planning as they go! Off White allows you to shop through all the dresses available in the boutique and pick as many as you want. It was stressed to me that if I feel at all like a dress could be an option that I was more than welcome to try it. I also did not feel rushed, and enjoyed the privacy that this boutique offers. They can only accommodate two brides at a time, so you will never feel as though you have to fight through a crowd to get your dress. Another feature that impressed me was the understanding attitude Martha had when I told her I had two other appointments scheduled for the day. Even though I wanted to go to my other appointments to be sure I had found my dress, I never felt pressure for a sale. Furthermore, Off White will subtract the cancellation fee of another appointment from the price of your dress! After I purchased my dream dress, I went over to White to purchase accessories. Even though I did not have an appointment, the staff was more than happy to squeeze me in to try veils and headpieces with my dress! Although Off White fit my budget much better than White, I can confidently recommend them to anyone wanting a wonderful dress shopping experience. read more

I went in with a few of my bridesmaids for a specific dress that only White of Dublin carried. The woman who helped us didnt pay much attention to us at all, they were all over a bride who was trying dresses on, I understand that the bride needs attention, however when there is more than one employee in the store and we are about to buy 7 bridesmaids dresses I expect to be the focus. She was not very helpful. She ordered two of my bridesmaids incorrect sizes due to her faulty measuring. And then said it wasnt her fault. One of them had to pay to get hers altered 6 sizes down for half the total cost of the dress. If they had our dress anywhere else I would have gone there instead. read more

I could not have asked for a better wedding dress shopping experience at White of Dublin! This was the first (and only place) I went to, to look for my dress, and my mom, future mother-in-law, and I were all warmly greeted with champagne when we first arrived. Roth was amazing to work with! He did not ask me about wedding details right away and instead took his time to learn more about me, which I thought was great! You bring all of yourself to your wedding day and I think capturing your essence (not merely your vision for the day) in anything you wear for that moment is important. It was so nice that the four of us could chat uninterrupted and enjoy our time together - Roth cracked me up and made the experience so much fun. Their dresses start at a certain amount and I was fully aware of that walking in. I gave them my upper limit and they stayed true to that. They did not try to upsell me on anything and were very respectful of my decisions. I had three pictures of dresses that I liked from a certain designer (their store carried the designer and that is how I originally found out about them) and found an incredible dress from a different designer that I ended up going with! I went the week of Thanksgiving and actually received a discount on my dress due to Black Friday, which was very helpful. I needed only one fitting and their seamstress did excellent work. The dress fits me perfectly and I am very grateful for White of Dublin for making it all happen! read more

White of Dublin was recommended to me by a friend of the family. Once engaged, I could not wait to begin trying on wedding dresses. With so many places available in Columbus, it was overwhelming to decide where to book my first appointments. Thanks to the advice of a friend, I booked an appointment at White of Dublin with Diane and Heather (the owners). The experience was one of a kind! My mom and I were the only people in the store, as they do operate by appointment only (champagne included!). This gave us a chance to browse the store, learn about the many different styles and designers, and I was able to try on as many dresses as I wanted. Heather and Diane were awesome...they never tried to talk me into anything and I never felt rushed to make a decision through the process. After trying on about six dresses in the store, I fell in LOVE with an Ian Stuart gown. There were so many gorgeous dresses in the store that it was difficult to pick "the one" but I found my dress at White of Dublin and could not have been more pleased with everything. I ended up canceling the appointments I had at other stores and went with my instinct on the Ian Stuart dress. Diane and Heather recommended an awesome alterations person and by the time my wedding day rolled around, I had the most gorgeous gown with a perfect fit. My entire experience from start to finish at White of Dublin was amazing and I would recommend the store to any bride. They also have a great jewelry selection and I did end up buying my wedding day earrings and bracelet there as well. I do not have anything but glowing things to say about White of Dublin and the fabulous owners, Heather and Diane. I actually live in Chicago but was in Columbus visiting family/friends so my mom made an appointment at White and I'm so glad she did! Upon our arrival Heather greeted us with champagne, let us walk around the store, and began telling us about some of the designers. The boutique is very beautiful and upscale but still manages to be very warm and inviting. White only takes one appointment at a time so we had the whole boutique to ourselves - the personalized service and attention was wonderful! They carry a number of unique, carefully chosen designers that I hadn't seen elsewhere, even in a big city like Chicago. Heather and Diane are so passionate about what they do and the designers they work with and it really shows. I was pretty sure I had already found a dress on a previous shopping trip, but I was proved wrong when I saw their beautiful, unique gowns! After trying on a few dresses Heather brought me a gorgeous Sassi Holford gown that I had passed by as I wasn't sure I would like it. A lot of times it's difficult to see a dress on a hanger and know what it will look like on, but Heather had really listened to me and knew exactly what I was looking for and that I would love the dress. When I put it on I felt so beautiful and I loved it more than I thought I could ever love a dress. I wanted a bit of time to make my final decision so Heather even let me come back the next day to try it on again and I purchased the dress!!! I cannot wait to wear the dress on my wedding day and I know I never would have found it without the help of White of Dublin, Heather, and Diane! I feel so lucky!
