German Roach Problems? Come here!!…read more Embarrassing to admit but I had a bad roach infestation. Everywhere I would look there was a roach. I would eat dinner. And just got used to them being near me because There was nothing I could do. It was To the point where I would have to make sure I dust off my backpack before leaving the house to make sure I don't carry them to other places because they were everywhere. I thought I was beyond help. I called multiple businesses on here. I called another company and had a bad phone encounter. Made me feel like the infestation was my fault and not good experience. I then called WOW. And expecting same treatment. I was surprised. They didn't seem to bat and eyelash at my concerns. Answered my questions. And treated me kindly. Admitting you have a roach problem and asking for help is already embarrassing. And they don't make you feel bad about it. The only thing is when I did service I paid with card. Which they do accept. it's just a bit of a process since the worker doesn't have a way to take card so they have to call the office and process the card over the phone. Seemed to be something they do but must not be common. Since the worker was a little confused about it. So Maybe use cash? Another thing is the person on the phone told me not to take everything out of cabinets. And in person the worker said that they should have told me to remove it. But it was fine and he could still do it. We just have to remove some stuff and he said to make sure to wash everything after. I was a bit embarrassed to run around and try to empty them a bit while he was waiting for us to be ready. For the company. If we can have better communication on what to do before service. But for those who need to get rid of German Roaches know this: I haven't seen another roach since. I share my story of the embarrassing infestation To let others know. If your infestation is bad and you think no pest control can help. Go to WOW. I have lived with roaches for more than 10 years. And finally I am free. It has been 9 months since my service. And no issues.

I reached out to Dan's Pest Management Inc. for pest control service for three units I manage in…read moreBakersfield. At first, everything seemed professional. They responded, showed up, and provided a quote. However, the experience changed once I started asking questions about the one-year service agreement and billing. Before signing any contract, especially one that locks me into service for a full year, I believe it is reasonable to ask clear questions about the billing cycle, payment dates, and whether anything would be prorated. I asked a simple question: if I signed and paid on 5/11, would my billing cycle start from that date, or would I still be billed on their regular cycle and lose part of the service period? I was not asking to avoid payment or get a discount. I simply wanted to understand what I was agreeing to before signing. Unfortunately, Rachel in billing did not seem clear on the answer, even though I had already discussed some of the details with Dan. That made me uncomfortable because billing and contract terms should be clearly understood by the company before asking a customer to commit for a full year. Instead of calmly answering the question, the tone changed and it felt like they became frustrated that I was asking about the contract at all. As a landlord who does not live in the Bakersfield area, I have to be extra careful about who I hire to service my property. I need to make sure the property is being properly maintained, the billing is clear, and the agreement is fair before I sign anything. Asking questions about a contract should not create tension or attitude from a company. I was genuinely interested in starting service, but this experience made me feel uncomfortable and hesitant. A customer should be able to ask basic contract and billing questions without feeling like they are being a problem. To me, that is not good business, especially when the customer is being asked to commit to a one-year agreement.

I called my Termite Inspector to ask for a recommendation on a bed bug specialist and he recommended Joe at Eviction Pest Control. I called Joe late on a Thursday night and he was kind enough to make room in his schedule the very next morning to drive across town and help me out. He arrived and was very respectful and personable. He even put on booties when he saw that we don't wear shoes in the house. He was kind, patient, and thorough. He let us bombard him with questions and vent about our fears of the bugs. He then proceeded to ask a few more questions to truly diagnose what the situation was, and then he educated us on the bed bug lifecycle, patterns, prevention, treatments, and how to tell if we truly did have them. Then, after getting a detailed description about the situation, he went room by room inspecting all beds, furniture, carpets, floorboards, light sockets, etc. He was so thorough and was at our house inspecting for nearly hour. The great news was that he confirmed that we did not have bedbugs. He did analyze the 1 bedbug we caught and confirmed that it was a bedbug, but he also explained to us how it was likely that my roommate picked it up from traveling and it did not actually mean we had an infestation. We were so grateful for his help. He then told us that the inspection would be free for us, and then thanked us and proceeded to leave. I attempted to give him a tip but he refused and said that it was his job to help us. He was such a great guy and I can't thank him enough. I'm sure his business will continue to do very well because I believe that it is built upon strong ethics, empathy, and compassion for their client base.
