I had three kitchen outlets that suddenly quit working. I tried flipping circuit breakers but that…read moredidn't help. I posted for electricians and Power Pro contacted me fairly quickly. They walked me through some steps and suggested there must be a GFI switch that controlled the outlets, but none of the outlets appeared to be GFI. They stayed on the phone while I flipped breakers again, but that still didn't get the outlets to work. They said it would likely be expensive to send someone all the way to Port St Lucie from West Palm but they would give me an estimate to help me decide. All in all, we were on the phone about 10 minutes. I was about to text them my address so they could figure out the distance and determine costs, and decided to look at the outlets one more time. Turns out, the previous owners had painted the outlet plates, so I had to look closely to see that one of them actually was a GFI. After resetting that, everything worked fine. I really appreciated the time Power Pro spent with me on the phone. Even though I was outside of their usual service area, they didn't just blow me off as some contractors have done. Now I wish I did live closer to them, as I would definitely use them in the future.

From the professionalism to how flexible and understanding he was. I hit this guy up through Yelp maybe a month or so before he was scheduled to come out. Initially, I asked for 3 TV's to be put up and he quoted I believe $320. Cool. Cause that included the service, hiding wires AND the mounts. Fast forward to the day before and I get a text to confirm the appointment. I confirm. I like that. I was stressed to the max the day before moving in our new home, making sure everything and everyone was ready and will be on time. All of a sudden, the day before we move, my husband decides he wants to buy a new TV right as David is working on the TV's downstairs b/c a 55 in. just ain't good enough for our new living room. Men. I call the day before and ask if he can hang 4 instead of 3 TV's and we also need a mount, and David obliged. So easygoing. Day after move, I believe he was a bit early... which in my book is Fine. By. Me. I've always lived by the motto (passed down from my mother), when you're early, you're on time and when you're on time, you're late. I don't necessarily put this on businesses, but I definitely pay attention to who is on time and who is late... I have too much going on to shuffle my whole day around because someone is more than 10-15 minutes (my grace period) late. I gots kids, jobs and other things happening. So David comes thru, pleasant and professional and gets to work.  He works on the TV's downstairs first. He helps my husband pull the TV out of the box. He mounts the TV and as soon as they turn it on, David notices the TV is basically smashed. Like someone dropped it or dropped something on it. Huuuu... My husband goes back to Best Buy and long story short has to go to the ends of the earth to another Best Buy to get the last one left (in all of Charlotte) of the brand and size we initially purchased. Huuuuu... David is cool about it because he noticed that we need a different bracket in one of the upstairs rooms; so he had to leave and get that. He finishes the TV's upstairs and by the time he comes back to get a new bracket my husband makes it home in time. David was understanding, flexible and extremely helpful. The price to put up TV's, the mounts and hide the wires was a steal! We may put up one more TV and if we do... unless my husband decides to do it; we'll be going with David. He was great!

Recently upgraded from the obsolete Pulse home system to the current Command/Control system. I have a detailed review of Pulse here on Yelp - less than stellar. The major drawbacks were the short range cameras and the WiFi-wireless 'security'(?), or lack thereof. Fat too easy to spoof/jam as I found out within 6 months of the installation. I finally bit the bullet and requested the upgrade to Command/Control after receiving a reasonably good price (finally). Competent crew and installation went smoothly. Cameras are much better (now with audio), and camera sensitivity range has more than doubled, along with a slightly higher resolution. Unfortunately, the WiFi/wireless 'security'(?) is only marginally better, with my system being partially 'knocked out' several days after the upgrade. 7 outdoor cameras total, with 4 cameras focused on the west side of the home, parking area and lengthy driveway - two cameras on the northside and two on the southside facing the same driveway. The two cameras on the northside caught the culprit turning into and coming down the driveway. Out of the two cameras on the southside recording the same driveway, the one closest was knocked completely off line while the second failed to record, although it stayed on line. A camera inside the home monitoring the living room and front door was knocked off line also. After the perp left, I 'reset' the entire Command/Control system, resulting in everything coming back online. Sadly, the Cloud Memory offered in the standard package won't last me half a month, and all recordings stopped until the next billing period! I 'upgraded'(?) to the Video Memory Cloud Package(?) at $4 more per month, only to get a 50% increase in Cloud Memory, with the oldest recordings automatically deleted when max cloud memory is achieved - same as Pulse previously. Still not sure what my new monthly bill will be, although I'm sure it will be at least $10 more per month on the new 36 month contract. Seeing how it goes with the newer system. Will attempt to sell to previous Pulse components on Craigslist shortly.

My only concern is the payment options. I prefer to pay through my bank's bill pay service rather than use automatic drafts. CPI's payment options could use some improvement, especially by offering monthly billing for customers who prefer to pay through their bank. Having to choose between quarterly or yearly payments is inconvenient and unreasonable, in my opinion. I haven't been a customer long enough to fully evaluate the ongoing service, but so far, so good! Overall, I'm pleased with my experience and would recommend CPI Security.
