A long review but I think it's worth the read…read more Shockingly unprofessional. We initially had a great experience with Luis when he came to our building to do a walkthrough and give us a quote. He was kind and took time to answer all of the questions we had and we just got an overall good feeling about him. The quote we got was great and we were moving on with the process of signing a contract with him. We're a nonprofit so big decisions like this require a couple of approvals before putting down thousands of dollars. The issue began when we started working with his wife who is the manager of the business. We are being advised by our general contractor since we don't know much about about the construction process. We were told to ask for verification of insurance and license info to make sure things were good and valid before signing a contract. Which we did ask of ALL of the companies that were giving us their proposals. For reasons we understand, his wife was hesitant to provide the insurance info. I gave her the option to contact our GC directly and if they still weren't comfortable with that we could just thank them for their time and part ways. She agreed and sent me the information that I then forwarded to our contractor. That Saturday we met with the contractor to look over a couple different proposals we got that week. He suggested we reduce the amount we paid as the deposit because he thought it was high and we would risk companies taking off with the deposit. Being a non profit, we can't take those kinds of risks. We sent out emails to the companies we were working with and a couple days later we began receiving the updated proposal and contracts. Then I received an email from Luis' wife. She gave an explanation as to why they were unable to adjust the payments and said it would have to be done on their terms. I understood and respected that decision completely. I thanked them for their time and told them that we would be unable to move forward with them. This is where she showed her true colors and sent me the most unprofessional email messages I've ever gotten in the 5 years we've been working on this project. She began accusing us of discrimination for not signing the contract with them, wasting their time, she accused us of trying to illegally use their license information and insurance. Then proceeded to threaten us with legal action if she were to find out that we were illegally using their company information. We're all sitting at the office reading this with our jaws on the floor. I have email proof of our conversations with her, Honesty Electric. I also have proof of conversations we had with all the other companies we've worked with or companies that have given us proposals. It's a very bold move to accuse people of discrimination when you have zero proof of that being the case. I wish I could attach our email conversation because it's truly shocking, offensive and extremely unprofessionally. I tried my best to explain our decision process to her but nothing could get it out of her head that we didn't want to work with them because they are black. What does the color of their skin have to do with the business we're trying to do here? She completely twisted the things our guys were asking and made it seem like we had nefarious intentions. I just contacted our GC and explained what happened and forwarded our conversations with her and Honesty Electric. He was initially pretty happy with the quote they gave us and asked our opinion of Luis. He was considering working with Luis with some other large projects he had planned for this year. Well needless to say, that will NOT be happening and we're glad we were able to see who they truly were before signing with them. I'm not even sure is Luis even knows about our conversations with his wife. Either way it's unfortunate that they are willing to loose thousands of dollars in business and potential business with our GC over unsubstantiated emotions and assumptions.

Bart is simply a rare professional, he explained everything in detail & worked with precision and speed. The installation was not done until he was satisfied with absolutely every single detail. I witnessed how he measured every inch of distance between the tv and sound bar. He adjusted and balanced the sound to perfection. Even after finishing the job, he was not 100% satisfied with his own work, so he took the 82" tv down and adjusted the entire set up again until he decided it was 100% perfect. I was watching the entire process and thought things were looking great & far meeting my expectations. Not to Bart. After witnessing Bart's level of knowledge & craft, I asked him if he could add another TV & wall mount installation to a bedroom on the second floor of the house. Just writing another recommendation for Pioneer Home Repairs!!…read more I had another small job I needed completed - and to be honest - I wasn't even sure if what I wanted existed - but Zachrey Conner came up with a great solution which not only gets the job done - but was economical because he was able to use my existing hardware instead of having to start buying a bunch of expensive stuff I didn't need! We have a screened in porch on the back of our house - and we have a medium sized dog who we like to give access to both our porch and the fenced in back yard. We keep his bed, along with his food and water bowls on the porch and our solution up to now has been to prop open the screen door so he could go in and out. But about a week ago we had a pretty windy day and the wind caught the propped open door and bent it all the way open - which damaged the mechanism on the top of the door that is used to prop the door open. I went to Lowes to price a new screen door (thinking that was our only option) and while doing so I thought to myself - why dont they make a doggy door for within a screen door?? I looked at Lowes, Home Depot and even Amazon and did not find anything like what I was thinking would be a perfect solution - because I knew even if we replaced the bent door it would likely be damaged again in the future if we continued to prop it open. So - I reached out to Zach and he literally showed up at my door to talk about what I wanted within 30 minutes of texting him (like seriously - who does that)!! He said he was finishing a job near by and so he came right over. We talked about what I was wanting and he said he thought we could modify my exisiting door without too much trouble and he then told me my original door wasn't damaged - I just needed a new part for the existing door - and that part cost less than $20!! I was thrilled. We setup an appointment for him to return to do the work and he finished the job a little earlier today. Once again I am thrilled with the outcome. He installed the new part to fix my door and customized the original door by removing two vertical slats to the right hand side of the door and created a frame to support the changes in the actual screening - which he cut and added a metal piece to the bottom of and then added magnets in the frame of the door itself so it now swings open for my dog to go through but will stay closed to prevent bugs from entering an open hole - just like a doggy door is supposed to do!! Now I can use my door but keep it closed all while allowing my dog to come and go multiple times per day without having to physically let him in and out of the porch or prop open the door!! Zach is such a wonderful handyman! I highly recommend him for any repairs or maintenance work you need done!
