I had three kitchen outlets that suddenly quit working. I tried flipping circuit breakers but that didn't help. I posted for electricians and Power Pro contacted me fairly quickly. They walked me through some steps and suggested there must be a GFI switch that controlled the outlets, but none of the outlets appeared to be GFI. They stayed on the phone while I flipped breakers again, but that still didn't get the outlets to work. They said it would likely be expensive to send someone all the way to Port St Lucie from West Palm but they would give me an estimate to help me decide. All in all, we were on the phone about 10 minutes. I was about to text them my address so they could figure out the distance and determine costs, and decided to look at the outlets one more time. Turns out, the previous owners had painted the outlet plates, so I had to look closely to see that one of them actually was a GFI. After resetting that, everything worked fine. I really appreciated the time Power Pro spent with me on the phone. Even though I was outside of their usual service area, they didn't just blow me off as some contractors have done. I put out a project request on Friday afternoon and about an hour or so later I got my first response from PPT...got an estimate shortly after and an appointment first thing Monday morning (I had a project, not an electrical problem). Good communication and punctuality by Juan and Richard. Richard was a nice guy, totally accommodating and meeting the job needs. He did a good job and vacuumed after himself. Hello Juan & Cesar came today to help me with more than one project. The first was easy I needed a ceiling fan with a light for my office which they installed a beautiful brand new fan w/ a light that lights up the entire room now & they discarded the old fan for me. The second project was bigger, we've been having electricity blips of all the power and they found on the outside of the condo corrosion which they cleaned up and repaired. The inside circuit breaker box also had some weird white powder that needed to be cleaned out and Juan also installed a surge protector device right into the breakers panels to protect all of the electronic equipment in the house if we should ever lose power. Both Juan & Cesar were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and easy going and easy to work with & explained things in an easy way. I would definitely use them again because we need another fan at least for 1 more room with a light in it & I would recommend this company. - I just wanted to add that I am already a repeat customer & will continue to be. I had Juan install another fan with a light in another room that needed it, and he also helped me get surge protectors for the house to protect my electronics as well as we installed an additional surge protector where the main power box is. Juan the owner is super nice and very professional and reliable and he also explains things in a really easy to understand way. You can trust his expertise and professionalism again and again. After our second visit I am having him write me an estimate for back up power suggestions for the entire house. I currently have a gas powered generator but it is difficult to use. Living in Florida during a hurricane season you really need power, so I believe this will be my next major investment to keep myself and everyone in the home safe and I see than Juan can be trusted to do an excellent job. read more
