The contractor did OK as far as fixing the ceiling, but did not put popcorn ceiling on as requested…read moreand didn't even paint it to match the surrounding ceiling. He went back to paint the ceiling, and admitted he used setting mud mixture instead of popcorn mixture, which was never cleared by me! He also did not cover the area being worked, even though the tenant said they didn't care (they should have)...Consequently the whole area (office, toys, etc) was covered in a fine dust. I told him not to return to fix anything because I don't trust him at all. I will have to travel there (3 hours away) sometime to fix it myself. A bad job overall! Not professional at all...

I had three kitchen outlets that suddenly quit working. I tried flipping circuit breakers but that…read moredidn't help. I posted for electricians and Power Pro contacted me fairly quickly. They walked me through some steps and suggested there must be a GFI switch that controlled the outlets, but none of the outlets appeared to be GFI. They stayed on the phone while I flipped breakers again, but that still didn't get the outlets to work. They said it would likely be expensive to send someone all the way to Port St Lucie from West Palm but they would give me an estimate to help me decide. All in all, we were on the phone about 10 minutes. I was about to text them my address so they could figure out the distance and determine costs, and decided to look at the outlets one more time. Turns out, the previous owners had painted the outlet plates, so I had to look closely to see that one of them actually was a GFI. After resetting that, everything worked fine. I really appreciated the time Power Pro spent with me on the phone. Even though I was outside of their usual service area, they didn't just blow me off as some contractors have done. Now I wish I did live closer to them, as I would definitely use them in the future.

When I first contacted MEM's Electric, on Tuesday, April 2nd, I honestly thought this was going to…read morebe a stellar experience. The person who answered, Hank, was pleasant, able to give me a general idea of what the cost would be to install a quick disconnect box and even spoke to the plumbing company who would be installing my water heater. We scheduled for Friday, April 5th at 10am. I also sent a text about the appt. at his request with my information. Friday came, and MEM's Electric was a no call / no show. I called, left a VM, and sent a text, stating that no one had showed up for the appt. While I waited for a response, I read the reviews only to see that this has been a repeat issue with this company. I don't understand why a business would so easily give a potential customer a reason to have anything negative to say. In fact, I waited 48 hours before posting a review to see if I would get a response as there is always the possibility that an emergency occurred. There are positive reviews about this business, but I want others who may be looking to use this service to be aware that this could happen to you. It is already frustrating to have technical issues in your home, so the last thing you need is another headache. Thankfully, I was able to reach another electrician the same day who arrived at my home in less than 30 minutes to complete the job.
