This owner came out and assessed my AC indicating I needed to either pay $1225 for R22 to be put in…read moreand Stop leak or $7800 to replace my unit due to a major leak. We contacted another company for a 2nd opinion and after paying $275, the AC was up and working again. The other company came back 5 days later and found no reduced Freon levels with AC working fine. They also said the unit sounds great and would probably last at least another 5 years. Hometown HVAC & Electrical is "making a living" by not properly assessing ways to save people money but line their pockets for unnecessary AC replacement and repairs. I was told by Hometown HVAC & Electrical my AC would not work until I paid $1225 for what may be a temporary fix or replace the unit for $7800. $275 later, my AC is working fine. RIPOFF!!!!
