I found this place on yelp and I feel like I must write a yelp review because of it. 1. This place has all 5 star reviews. When does that ever happen??? 2. I wish my living room looked like the office. It helps set a calm vibe and you forget you are at the dentist, just a cute office in West Town. 3. Nicest staff ever. Ryan scheduled my appt. I filled out paperwork online before my visit and I just had to add my signature when I got there. I think my dental hygienist was Megan. She was very thorough and explained everything she was doing. If you don't like the scraping noises going on, you can get head phones to watch tv on the mini flat screen right in front of your chair. Dr. Petar was really great. I agree- no guilt trip. I am a little picky about the shape of some of my teeth and how a few have shifted since my braces in high school. He didn't pressure me to get anything I don't REALLY need. 4. You can make appointments by email! They are open late so you can go after work! read more

I Love this place! Both of my parents go here and I now my boyfriend is going to switch to this dentist office. They are very thorough, I always leave with my teeth feeling perfectly clean, and they are so friendly and nice there. It's newly renovated and modern looking inside. I usually dread going to the dentist but I don't mind coming here. Highly recommend! read more

These guys were great. I had a few minor issues, but they didn't pressure me into addressing them right away. They made me aware of my options, but didn't push it. The receptionist also followed up and emailed me some articles on avoiding grinding my teeth in my sleep. Seems like there's really good communication between the doc, hygienist and staff. Definitely would recommend read more

Since I grind my teeth I went in for a mouth guard and it was fit perfect and is comfortable when I sleep, very pleased!

Wow. Dr. Petar is great. I absolutely hate the dentist because of traumatic visits as a kid. I needed 2 cavities filled that were pretty bad. Dr. Petar and his staff made sure I was comfortable and walked me through every step as it was happening. He warned me that things could hurt and he was going to go slow to try to alleviate the intensity of the pain. I'm so happy I came across this office (from other yelpers). read more

I was glad to see Dr Tofovic's profile on yelp and to have a chance to recommend his office. Naturally, I am not extremely at ease at the dentist's office, but from the moment he greeted me I felt relaxed. I was full of questions because my teeth had been sensitive for a few weeks at the time. He was very patient and had a few great suggestions for me that have worked out well. I felt like he was giving me the same advice and care he'd give to a friend. All in all I would encourage anyone seeking a new dentist they can trust and feel confident about to see Dr Tofovic, I know I'll be back in six months. read more

I love this place, and I'm so glad I found it via Yelp. My first visit I used the $40 for $100 worth of services, which is what lured me in - but I will continue to use this as my Dentist of choice because of Dr. Petar. He had big shoes to fill for me since I come from a small town where my dentist knew my name, my family and everything about us. When I moved to the city I've been hopping dentist's because I couldn't find one that had an amazing experience combined with affordable prices....either there were incredible facilities that charged an arm and a leg or terrible service for cheaper. This is the perfect blend...Dr. Petar is naturally inquisitive but you can tell he truly cares to get to know his patients. They are very helpful and informative and always make me feel calm and welcome even in the most unwanted situations. They even have flatscreen TVs in every room in case you want to tune out, but I like interacting with them! read more

Petar is the best dentist I have ever had. He is incredibly kind and attentive and is really good at conversing with me like I'm a friend. The TVs and all white decor are beautiful - you can really tell he is patient-minded in his approach. Nothing is pretentious and everything in the waiting area and dental rooms was designed with the patient in mind. Petar should be your next dentist! read more

I have just come back from an introductory appointment with Dr.Petar and I absolutely agree with all the positive reviews posted here. I was nervous at best due to my poor attendance at the dentist over the last many years but everyone I met at White was very kind and respectful of my circumstances. Most importantly for me, Dr. Petar was a very easy person to speak and listen to and he did a great job reading into my comfort level, making sure I was ready for every step of the exam and cleaning process. In addition, he had some great advice and interesting facts to share about the profession and dental health in general which I greatly appreciated hearing. Long story short, and this even sounds weird in my head so I hardly expect anyone else to believe it... I just had a great time at the dentist. read more

This is my first Yelp review, with my busy schedule I don't have time to share my experiences. But after my third visit to Dr. Tofovic I am more than happy to let everyone know how great my teeth feel ! I always say dentist has to have extreme attention to detail, when I saw how this dental studio looks I was sure I am at the rite place. He is young, energetic and doesn't hide his passion and knowledge for his craft. He had patience to listen my concernes and he was explaining all the steps before and during the procedure. It is nice when you know you don't have to worry for your oral health. I am happy I am a White Dental Studio patient, keep on the great work. read more

By far the best dentist experience I've ever had. First, the office has fantastic design and is extremely well kept. Second, the offered me organic iced tea in a mason jar (I mean, who else does that?). Third, Dr. Petar performed my first cleaning, instead of the Dental Hygienist because he likes to get to know his patients. He spent plenty of time explaining everything he was doing and answered any questions I had. From start to finish the whole experience was flawless - couldn't recommend White more highly. read more

I have been looking for a Dental Home for over 2 years since I moved to Chicago. I looked on Yelp and saw that White Dental Studio had great reviews but I was wondering were the reviews too good to be true. When the studio manager returned my call she was really nice and informative. I was having an issue with a tooth I've been needing to get a root canal on and needed immediate attention. She assured me that the Dr. would be able to help me. The one thing that I liked the most was that she assured me that I would receive a cleaning first before any other procedures would take place. I thought how awesome, because why would I trust someone to give me a root canal when I cannot trust them with my cleaning. The only available appointment was a week away but she put me on the will call if someone cancels list and sent me my forms to fill out electronically. I thought to myself, how am I going to last with this annoying tooth for a week. The next day she called me and emailed me letting me know that there was a cancellation and wondered if I would like to come in. The studio looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Clean and simple! I really liked the dental assistant because she was nice, calm and informative. The hygienist cabin and got right down to business. I appreciated that she took her time to thoroughly clean my teeth without yanking my jaw off. After my cleaning Dr. Petar came in to examine my bothersome tooth and gums. He was so nice! I felt like he was one of the guys I knew in college. He talked about my treatment plan but did t sound like he was after my money. He even informed me that they have payment plans if I was it in the position to pay for my root canal. I left, looking forward to my next visit. Thank you White Dental Studio, I am forever your client! read more

During my recent 'health week" after getting my eyes looked at I decided it was time for my teeth. I had a great experience at White Dental Studio. First things--it was a snap to get a time AND they were on time! Second, being someone who had braces for a good part of my teenage years I am use to getting poked and prodded with dentists. That was not the case here at all. It was as close to "pain free" as any dentist visit can be. Lastly, the doctor actually was personable and did not talk down to you about your teeth like so many other places in Chicago. It was almost like a football buddy was doing my examination and that has not happened in my lifetime. Lastly, they are easy to deal with on the insurance front. All in all a great experience. I will not 'rush" to go back to my dentist but I will not dread it! read more

First off- I rarely write reviews but this dentist office visit was worthy of a positive review. Today, was my first consultation/visit to the dentist. From the initial appointment setting, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, to the overall experience could not have gone any better. As other folks have said, I generally fear the dentist but here the process is pain free and informative. HIGHLY recommend is an understatement... read more

Finally a dentist I am not terrified to visit. Dr Petar is great. He legitimately remembers me every time I come in and asks specific questions about my life. Well done Dr Petar. Easy, quick, painless, comfortable, clean. read more

I just moved to the city and I was refered by a friend. Absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly. Dr. Petar and everyone else there explain everything that they are doing and what they are going to do next. Making an appointment is no hassle. Great hours. I just started the Invisalign and they were very helpful in getting me started and can already feel the difference. Ha Ha Ha. Thank you White Dental Studio. Dave read more

Wasn't satisfied with the service provided at this dental office. The staff was not friendly and I wasn't warned about the charges that wouldn't be covered under my insurance. Not going there again. read more

I wanted to love this dental studio as it is right around the corner from my house. However, the staff was not impressive. My overall experience was very "meh". Not good, not bad. Then, 1 year after my last appointment, I get an email telling me I have a past due bill and I need to pay within 5 days to avoid a penalty. A YEAR LATER! Then I receive a text message regarding past due bill. I called the office to ask why it took them a year to tell me I have a balance, after I paid the amount they told me was due at my last appointment. The receptionist looked up that they had "emailed me 4 times regarding past due amount". Ok. So this probably filtered into my junk mail or was overlooked by me. I also moved within the year so I did not receive the 1 statement they said they sent to me. Instead of understanding that perhaps they should actually start human interaction and call me regarding a balance due, the receptionist condescendingly stated they would "keep that idea in mind". Since I was not impressed to begin with, I definitely won't be returning after the way they handled such a small debt a year after my last visit. read more

Had to come here because my regular dentist was booked up. Waited 40 minutes past my appointment time and they let two people in who weren't even in their system. Probably won't be going back... read more

I Highly Recommend Dr. Tofovic. I had terrible experience at Halsted Street dental(long story short: I felt like they forced me into having a filling replaced which resulted in an infected tooth). Based on this experience I have been terrified to go back to a dentist. A friend referred me to Dr. Tofovic. I'm so glad she did.I never thought I would say that I had a wonderful experience getting a root canal. Dr. Tofovic was amazing - he was very caring, explained every step and always made sure to check-in with me to ensure I was doing okay. He made me feel very comfortable through the entire process. He even called after my procedure to see how I was feeling. I work across the street and will refer all my coworkers and friends to him. A+ read more

Absolutely Loved this place!!! (and who loves going to the dentist!?) I was able to book an appointment after work hours which was huge. Immediately felt right at home with my Hygienist, Megan, who was extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I was able to watch TV during my cleaning and had all of my questions answered by her and the Dentist, Dr. Petar. Great staff and service= I will definitely recommend it to a friend! read more

This place is awesome. Been going here for years and everything from the staff to the equipment and office is top notch. Dr. Petar is a great guy and extremely honest and straightforward. Cannot recommend enough. read more

I have been going to this office for a little over 2 years and I've never had a bad experience. I go for regular cleanings, I've gotten invisalign through this office and I've had two teeth pulled while under the care of Dr. Petar and his staff and they are exceptional. I was recommended by a friend and since then I've personally recommended them to three others who also loved this office. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room and their staff have always been top notch and very honest. Dr. Petar is the most personable and has given me the most enjoyable dental experience I've ever had. They also have an excellent reminder/scheduling system that ive found very helpful in the past. The location is also very easy to get to. On 1414 west Chicago it takes me about an 8 minute uber ride from the loop. I'd highly recommend them, I've never had anything even close to bad experience. read more

Dentist Petar Tofovic is not honest, he withheld important information from me as new patient and I got tricked into paying for "Invisalign" (teeth alignment) program that I would've otherwise never agreed to do if information were fully/properly disclosed to me. My biggest REGRET to have him be my dentist, and I'm very mad that there is dishonest dentist to scam patients like this. This is Petar's exact words: " 4500 dollars for everything to do Invisalign, including retainers, at the end you just need to keep wearing retainers to keep your results." after I paid in full up-front per his request and been wearing Invisalign for 2 years, now he refused to give me the retainers(that I already paid for) in order to continue my treatment unless I give him EXTRA 500 bucks. His refusal to provide what he promised to deliver would eventually caused my teeth to shift and turned into undesirable conditions and all my 4500 dollars paid to him would be in vain. I've tried to communicate with Petar about what he promised verbally and in evidence that would cost me and how my teeth will shift horribly (food are already stuck in my teeth gaps pretty bad) if i don't have the retainers to keep my teeth together, he didn't care or answer to my questions about our agreement but only kept asking for extra 500 bucks that I have never heard of or agreed to pay. I kept asking Petar and his assistant how I can wear one retainers for the rest of my life like he said, Petar just ran away and his assistant avoided directly answer my questions, leaving me still uninformed about the situation until days ago his front desk asked me for money before I'm allowed to pick up the retainers. I had no place or any proper channels to find out what I got into until I recently found out from asking new dentist that once started "Invisalign", patient could face hundreds to over thousands dollars costs to replace the retainers several times EVERY YEAR FOR REST OF LIFE. I was shocked that Dentist Petar NEVER ONCE informed me about the need for replacement as well as such huge future costs burden, and I would've absolutely NOT started Invisalign if I was properly informed about this by my dentist. I then realized did I get scammed into an involuntary debt for the rest of my life? New dentist also told me that Petar charges unreasonably. Dentists only pay around 100 bucks to get a order of 3 pairs retainers. But Petar asks for 500 bucks, not to even mentioned he promised to give retainers to me with no extra costs. I'm right now in a involuntary FORCED STOP by Dentist Petar Tofovic on my treatment, my teeth would shift horribly. Is there code of conducts at his dentistry? cannnot believe someone holds professional license can be so unprofessional and unethical. This is terrible, and I would seek if any patient protections to help in this case. read more

Went here because it just open in my hood and am very glad I did. I hadn't been to see a dentist in years and what a refreshing experience this was, plus Dr. Petar didn't criticize me for my lack of dental visits. Plus the place is really cool, uber-modern with classic, traditional flare. read more

Great service. Had a horrible pain in a tooth for a couple of months and Dr. Petar found out I needed a root canal...(something that was missed at a prior Dentist). He referred me to an Endodontist and that experience was actually quite pleasant. Thank you Dr. Petar! read more

I can't believe that I am giving a dentist a 5 star rating! I wouldn't have even thought that was within the realm of possibility. This place is the best! If you have worries about the pain or discomfort of dentistry, you have found your new dentist. I am a terrible patient and I hate everything about going to the dentist (due to bad childhood experiences) but I had 2 very good experiences here. I might actually consider getting regular cleanings and checkups with the experience being so pleasant! read more

Had a good experience here. Was unsure what to expect from this office and doctor since it was my first visit, but was in and out in 40 minutes with very little waiting. Dr Tofovic was relaxed and friendly and made me feel at ease, even in a dentists chair- not my favorite place! Never once felt rushed, he took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Would definitely recommend Dr Tofovic to my friends and family. read more

Clean, prompt, easy to schedule, electronic forms, pleasant staff, good work, best Chicago dentist.

Despite all the good reviews, i am about to write not the best one... All i can say is that i had a filling done. After my amnesia was gone and i was able to feel - my tooth felt unevenly done - i could feel with my tongue that it was applied over an actual drilled opening and felt like it will come out soon. I haven't called back and complain, since the dentist should have noticed that and i didn't feel like waiting another month or so to get that appointment! It is not that there was way too much filling applied, it is that edges of the tooth were not smothered ; part of the filling stuffed the space that separated two back teeth. I was afraid to eat on that side for a while, since was paranoid i would swallow my filling with the food. It took me solid three months , if not more, to completely eat on my filling before I stopped feeling a difference between an actual tooth and a filling. Further and worst, somehow, a hole has developed in a size of a poppy seed right after i stopped feeling that tooth imperfection exactly in the middle of a tooth!!! For example, if a poppy seed gets stuck in it, then i am unable just to flush it away with water - i have to dig it out with a sharp end of a flossing pick. That is just horrible, isn't it? So every time i eat smthg , the little hole gets stuffed. Not pleasant at all and i am visiting a new dentist next week to fix the same tooth! Don't really care about that uneven filling at this point, since it evened out by itself with time, and wouldn't even write this review, but the developed hole means work just wasn't done in the way it supposed to, and who knows if the tooth itself is not affected by now . The only thing i really liked was that color of the filling 100% matched the color of my teeth. read more

Went to White Dental Studio for the first time for teeth filling and teeth cleaning. Teeth filling was ok but the teeth cleaning job was not good at all. They just spent only 10-15 minutes to clean my 32 teethes. After the teeth cleaning, I saw a lot of uncleaned spots on my teeth. I will not go to this place again. read more

I would highly recommend this dental office - Dr. Petar and his staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I have never felt so comfortable going to the dentist. I initially went in for cleanings, but was on the market for Invisalign also. I was a little nervous about committing, but Dr. Petar gave me all I needed to make an informed decision and I am so so glad I did! I was nervous about the whole process because the idea of having braces again (I had metal ones in high school) was not exciting to say the least, but honestly the Invisalign was so much easier than I thought it would be! And in the 10 months I was wearing it, I think one person noticed I had it in, and it was only because she was looking into the same treatment. The visits to change out aligners were quick and easy, the dental hygienists and receptionist were always friendly and efficient, and my teeth are now straight and pretty. I've since moved to the East Coast and am bummed I have to find a new dentist. Thank you, White Dental! :) read more

I moved back to Chicago and needed to establish a relationship with a dentist for cleaning and treatment. A friend referred me to Dr. Petar's office and I am extremely satisfied with my experience. Yesterday was my first visit. Scheduling an appointment was easy, they made documentation and X-ray delivery easy online. Emily was my hygienist and she's is one of the most knowledgeable and professional I have had ever. She was organized and communicated thoroughly in easy to understand terms. I got that she cared about the health of my teeth and mouth and she really knows her stuff. Sonia, the office manager was very professional and helpful. Dr. Petar is an excellent dentist, knowledgeable, thorough and caring. He communicates well, is approachable and extremely professional. It is very clear that he discusses all the treatment options with his patients which is reassuring that you are receiving the best treatment for your individual needs. I am SO HAPPY I found this practice. They are the BEST. read more
