I have been looking for a dentist office for some time; most (especially these days) are upselling, overcharging, not following the insurance policy, etch. This dental office is beautiful, clean and have the latest dental technology and explain everything to me. My teeth felt good but I need a lot of work done; not sure if I will get it done here. I personally had issues with cost, explanation of charges and my dental insurance encouraged me get another opinion. There's a disconnect between the dentist and the front office. Double check the service costs. The front desk is kind and friendly but not sure I'll be back. read more

I had a great first appt here. The staff was friendly and personable. The hygienist (Amanda) took the time to explain everything to me, get to know my history, and did a thorough cleaning job. I walked away feeling well cared for. The dentist was also very nice, made the extra effort to get to know me and make recommendations that I felt confident moving forward with. Every time I saw a dentist, I got a different story. I needed four fillings. I needed no fillings. I needed some fillings. After some watching/waiting, I agreed to two fillings and in the chair the dentist was like, you're getting four fillings, right? Super sketch! Later, I was advised to get a deep clean. I paid for the procedure, but only got a half clean. White said they'd follow up, and they never did. I followed up several times and got no answer. I had a terrible experience in this dental clinic. First it took forever to get them to give me a referral for oral surgeon regarding my TMJ developed during a botched orthodontic treatment. Then I came back for my annual cleaning and exam but instead of a regular cleaning they decided to perform a semi-deep cleaning which is not covered by my insurance and which I never requested to have. I had to pay a pretty high bill for this unwanted semi-deep cleaning instead of receiving my regular cleaning that my plan covers completely. I was scheduled for another check up and more cleaning in three months but when I found out that my insurance doesn't cover this and I will have to bay a high balance I called them in October 2024 and requested to cancel my next appt scheduled for January 2025. Five days before the appointment they started texting and emailing me to confirm the appointment but none of the text and email reminders had the option to cancel the appointment. The only option provided was to confirm it. I called them but due to my work schedule both times I called seemed to have been out of their work hours so I was unable to cancel this appointment by phone, by email or by text message because none of these methods was giving the option to cancel but I could only confirm the appointment. I decided to just reply back to the email and text message reminders with request to cancel the appt. It seems that someone has received my request and they cancelled the appt by sending me an email and a message that I may be charged with a cancellation fee. Why on earth you will charge me with a cancellation fee if the appt is for Jan. 22 and I am cancelling it on Jan 17th? And what is the reason that the appt was not cancelled in October 2024 when I called initially? I don't know what kind of crooks these people are but those are very dishonest and unethical business practices and I think that everyone should be aware of them and before going there. read more

They have cancelled my appointment twice now to get a teeth cleaning which is super frustrating as the first appointment I made at my last 6 month visit. When I had to reschedule, it took about 10 dates to find an actual day that worked and then they just called to cancel again. Was super nice, engaging and gentle. Dr. Tofovic came in after, and discussed treatment options. He was very bubbly and laid out a plan for me while considering my end goal. It's been awhile since I rated this place as I've been going here for years. This is the first time I've had to have major work done (a crown) and I cannot say enough about the professionalism, fun-spirit and trustworthy nature of Dr. Petar and his staff. They are so communicative and not out to recommend dental work if you don't need it. You can tell that everyone loves working here and enjoy what they do. They are extremely high tech here too, using all the best and cutting edge technology and equipment (think 3D printer for your prosthetic tooth, 3D imaging of your mouth). Each exam room has a tv for you to keep yourself entertained while waiting. But waiting you rarely have to do (unless your tooth is being created) because they are darn on top of things. Had my first visit here yesterday after I was recommend by a friend. I had a great experience here. Martina was my hygienist and she was very professional, explained everything beforehand and really took the time to clean my gums well. She also showed me the right way to floss at home. I will definitely ask for her by name when I return in 6 months. This location is a 2 hr drive for me and it was worth it. They also had to fix 3 cavities for me and I don't have to go back because they were done correctly for a change. read more

Unfortunately for me, I have had to have significant dental work done in my lifetime that has brought me to many different dentists over the years. That said, I have never had such a pleasant experience with a dental office as I do with White Dental Studio! Every staff member is extremely personable and kind, and even if they do not remember me when I come in, they make you feel like they do. My previous dentist was pretty pushy about having procedures done and kind of judgmental about my dental history (sorry my childhood dentist sucked), which didn't make me feel at ease. Additionally, the dental hygienist there did not do a very good job -- I literally brushed my teeth and flossed again after I got home from the appointment because they did not feel clean enough. However, Dr. Petar is great! He makes you feel comfortable while walking you through your options when needing to get a second opinion or a potential procedure, and I have never felt pressured to have something unnecessary done. He's always clear when explaining his diagnoses and is very open to questions or concerns about your oral health. Also, Emily is hands down one of the best dental hygienists I have ever experienced in my life. I have been going to White Dental Studio for about two years now, and I have been extremely impressed and satisfied with visit. I even got my roommate to start seeing them! Dr Tofovic was my dentist a while back when he practiced downtown. Really great dentist. Very personable and calming. The office atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly as well. I have yet to find a dentist I like as much as Dr Tofovic. I was extremely disappointed when he left the downtown dental office and tried searching for where he was practicing. His new practice is far from me unfortunately. But for anyone with doubts, if you are afraid or uncomfortable this is the dentist to go to. read more

I have 27 tattoos done and none of them have terrified me as much as the dentist does. I absolutely despise the dentist. All of the experiences I've had were horrible. especially the last place. The cleaning wasn't great and I was told I needed a crown and 4 fillings. Needless to say I never went back. 4 years later I figured hey, I think going to the dentist might be a good idea but I randomly picked the closest to home. Luckily this place was the closest. I got lucky. I am no longer terrified. The people are nice. I was told I needed one filling. So clearly I didn't need a crown. The cleaning was great and quick. Dr. Petar and the white dental team are some of the kindest professionals I have experienced. Everything about this dental studio is top of the line, in a clean and welcoming environment. Netflix, HGTV, friendly staff, good music, the list goes on. My recent visit during COVID times was fantastic, they took all precautionary measures, hand sanitizer, temp check, extra protective equipment, and really seemed to value the safety of their staff and patients. They do an amazing job cleaning my teeth, and it's probably the most painless dentist office I've ever been to. I am grateful that they do a lot of manual scraping because of COVID. I had not seen a dentist in years and knew I needed some extensive work so I was pretty anxious prior to my initial consultation. The staff at the front desk and dental assistants were very friendly and welcoming. Dr Tofovic took time to get to know me as a person before jumping into my diagnosis which was greatly appreciated. He alleviated my fears and explained everything in a way that was very easy to understand including my options. My follow up surgical consultation with Dr Gromov went just as well. I just completed a tooth extraction / bone graft procedure in preparation for an implant follow up scheduled a few months from now. I was given IV sedation and felt no pain even though I was semi-conscious during the procedure. Dr Gromov, Dr Gorchow and the team did a great job including providing post- surgery guidance. I had very little pain or swelling after and bounced back in no time at all. I'm very pleased with how well things went! read more

I recently moved to West Town and decided to try a dentist that was close by. I always liked my previous dentist's office, but this place is so close i could throw a rock at it. The energy, vibe and staff are wonderful. Lindsay was my dental hygienist, she was so sweet and made me feel super comfortable. It's a very personal and thorough experience which I appreciate! Not a "rushed and let's just get to the next patient" establishment. The office is clean, pristine, and the decor doesn't scream dentists office. It's a very posh scene. Felt like I was in Beverly Hills, but the staff treated me like I was back home in Missouri! They seem to have the latest technology also. What I really love is that they don't push expensive ideas/treatments if it's not necessary. Super practical, welcoming and fun. Just had my first appointment as a new patient with White Dental Studio today, and am super impressed! Their new patient process is super easy, and they send you all forms to fill out electronically before your appointment. The front desk staff is super helpful and easy to reach! The office is beautiful, and left me wondering why all dentists haven't updated their spaces. It really is so nice in there! My dental hygienist, Emily, was awesome and took extra precaution with the process knowing I am pregnant. She explained everything, was thorough, and very personable. Dr. Petar came in to meet me at the end and do an examination, and although that was quick, he was super friendly and informative as well. The last guy who worked on my mouth was nicknamed "The Rock-a-Dontist" and used to tour with Ozzy Osborne so needless to say it was a tough act to follow. While Dr. Petar may not be as heavy metal, he runs a pretty awesome operation at White Dental Studio. First off, the lobby looks more like a hipster cocktail lounge than the waiting room at Planned Parenthood which is comforting when you're about to say ahhh for a stranger. There's online access to your pre-appointment paperwork and they're also pretty flexible if something comes up and you're running late. The dental hygienist I had was hot enough to have me start a steady diet of Halloween candy and super friendly to boot. Granted I just went in for a simple clean and check up, but I'd have to say this place was a pretty freaking great experience. read more

Very friendly and warm staff! You feel like you're going to your friends house. They always want to make sure your informed and comfortable. I hadn't been to a dentist in YEARS. So I was super nervous when I went in. I received great feedback (no cavities-woo) but, wasn't felt that I was a slacker for waiting so long. (Which I was) I was recommended to have a "deep clean" because I had neglected my teeth for so long. The whole procedure I was comfortable and it was quick! Dr. Tofovic is an awesome dentist! He works quickly and efficiently so that you're in and out before your lunch hour is up but never makes you feel rushed or that he doesn't care. He explains what he's doing as he's doing them so that you're not surprised by a sudden pinch and goes over your xrays with you so that you can personally see where the problems are. He's also super personable, friendly and easy to talk to. I have a bad habit of not remembering to floss every day and he knows it! But he doesn't scold you or make you feel so bad you never want to go back to the dentist again. He empathizes with you about how annoying it is and how he has to push himself to do it every day as well. It makes you want to try harder not so that you won't get yelled at again but because you don't want to disappoint him lol. A friend recommended me to this dental office, and spoke very highly of the staff and space. I couldn't believe how well she thought of it, but after my first trip I have to say that she completely undersold it! By far, this is the best dental studio I've ever been to. Everyone was helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. Filling out my forms online ahead of time was convenient and made my wait time only a few minutes, but the studio itself was so wonderfully furnished and decorated that I actually wished I had a few extra moments to take it all in before my appointment began. My cleaning went smoothly, thanks in large part to the best dental hygienist of all time. She was so nice and funny, and did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable. Are there voter's choice awards for dental hygienists? If so, I would honestly organize a campaign and get everyone I know to vote for her. After my cleaning, during which I took in a college basketball game on a nearby flatscreen TV, I met my dentist, Dr. Petar. This dentist is the best dentist of all the dentists. Not only was he outgoing, but he had a great sense of humor and explained everything he noted during my examination fully and clearly. I'm glad it was dark when I left (they keep later hours, too!), because I'm pretty sure people would have thought I was nuts for leaving a dental office smiling ear to ear. She also was extremely friendly and knowledgeable with a great personality. As she cleaned my teeth, she explained everything so there were no surprise "ouch's"! The dental staff that works here are great, & it's been one of the best dental experiences I've had & will come back again. Aside from their great dental care, the office is decorated beautifully. The best. Top to bottom. Dr. Petar is a gem. The space is supremely clean and friendly. His care is amazing in the way that he's very conservative with treatment, and transparent about what one really needs and what he would do if it was his teeth in question. He's walked from large sums of insurance $$$ with me as a patient because he does the right thing, vs. the $$$ thing. All the staff and my hygienists over the years have been stellar as well. Just got home 2 minutes ago from my first appt there and I am BLOWN away. Not only is the place outfitted like a swanky hair salon, but there are flat screen TVs at every chair! I watched a great HGTV show while I got my teeth cleaned! I even got a full tube of toothpaste just for checking in on Facebook. After spending years going to a dentist who over-sold me on unnecessary procedures, I decided to try a new dentist and am THRILLED I did. I'm the kind of person who does their homework- so I felt like I knew all the issues wrong with my teeth and what I was doing to take care of them. Well- Dr. Petar proved he knew his stuff! He pointed out things my old dentist had missed, corrected me on the way I was using my Sonicare and also dismissed a $1,200 my old dentist told me I needed to do. His reassuring chair-side manner and attention to detail make him worth the trip for me. He discusses alternate treatments and lets you know of areas of concern that might cause concern in the future so that you can change your dental routine. I was dreading going to the dentist after years of putting it off. My last experience was horrific and I carried the shame of not taking care of myself for years. Little did I know, I could have freed myself from that shame if I had gone to Dr. Petar earlier. My appointment started with a cleaning from a lovely hygenist who was understanding about my aversion to dentists. She made me feel super comfortable and chit-chatted with me about the show on HGTV that was playing on the flatscreen above my head. I could tell she was doing it to distract me and keep things light. I cannot overstate how much I appreciated this. Dr. Petar was awesome and didn't make me feel bad either. Stopped in yesterday for a cleaning and a few questions. DECOR: As everyone else has mentioned, this place is extremely beautiful and well decorated. TV: They had HGTV playing when I sat down, so I got my teeth cleaned with House Hunters International in the background. YES! Total win. PEOPLE: Megan (spelling?) was my hygienist and was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and friendly. She was also very knowledgeable about some questions I had, and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Petar is also very friendly, while also being extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't feel like he was pushing me into anything (which he easily could have done - I was asking about whitening options). Instead, he was very honest about my options and didn't try to push me to schedule anything. Even when I mentioned to Dr. Petar that I'd read the Yelp reviews and they were all five stars, he wasn't pretentious about it. He smiled and started with, "We are very fortunate..." I mean, come on. Dr. Petar helped me take the steps to finally have a major oral surgery I've needed for years. I'm TERRIFIED of dentists and avoid them until things get really bad. Dr. Petar is extremely understanding and often checks up through the course of our appointment on my stress level and comfort level. I was blown away by this dental studio. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I am not a fan of getting phone calls so I love that they use email to schedule an appointment, reminders and questions for the doctor. Elise was AMAZING as a dental hygenist. I am in the medical field and have been going to the dentist for 26 years but she described tools and reseaons why she was doing things. I didn't even know!! The office is awesome in black and white.
