The service was excellent both evenings! Yes! We chose to enjoy dinner two nights in a row! We were thrilled, and blessed to have Meg as our server, both visits. Meg was attentive, engaging and very knowledgeable of the menu. She was a pure delight. The first evening we ordered the Meatball Sliders as an Appetizer. What incredible flavor and texture these meatballs have! All meat! The red sauce was wonderfully bright with true authentic Italian sauce. My husband and I shared the sliders and the Cubana sandwich. What fabulous flavors in the Cubana as well. The bread had a nice crunch on the outside with soft bites inside. Delicious!! The second night we enjoyed delicious Spaghetti and those wonderful Meatballs along with the best Chicken Marsala we've ever enjoyed. We will visit the next time we are in Carlisle.

Thankfully the restaurant is willing to accommodate (like leaving the cheese off a pizza) so there are vegan items to be crafted. It would just be cool if there were one or two items designed with vegans in mind. So, after some hocus pocus work, I decided on The Puttanesca Pizza and a non-alcoholic Cinnamon Vanilla Mule. The Puttanesca Pizza typically features olive tapenade, house tomato sauce, shaved Romano and rosemary gremolata. The waitress said it would be no problem to leave off the Romano. The Cinnamon Vanilla Mule contains cinnamon-vanilla syrup and ginger beer. Thankfully no substitutions needed here. The pizza at Pitt Street Station is bar style. A thin, chewy crust with the toppings layered on top. I found the crust to be pretty good. I like the combo of tapenade and house tomato sauce but did find it a tad salty. Can't imagine what it is like with the Romano added in. The Cinnamon Vanilla Mule was very good. I liked the balance of all the components. It was cool to see some non alcoholic cocktails on the menu and to have them be really good. I would return to Pitt Street Station if meeting up with someone because the place is accommodating to dietary needs but until some actual vegan items are on the menu it won't be somewhere I seek out on my own.

Total came out to approximately $99 (not including tip). What's hot - Quality. Fairly good. My hummus wrap was yummy and had a good amount of veggies wrapped with the hummus. Their fries are the best part and well-seasoned. Depending on the person, it could be considered overly-salty. Their beer cheese is pretty flavorful, as well. Their burgers are tender, juicy, and a good flavor. - Menu. Decent and short. - Location. Fairly easy to find downtown and there are other businesses and restaurants close by. Street parking is available, which is metered during the weekdays. - Price. With the exception of the sides, which I explain below, it's fairly good value for money, given the quality and decent size portions. What's not - Quality. Their soft pretzel sticks were not as soft as I expected. They were actually harder than I hoped. - Dishes come with potato chips. Their sandwiches come with potato chips. Fries, coleslaw, or salad cost extra. My hummus pita wrap and my friend's fish sandwich automatically come with potato chips, so ordering the fries cost extra. Not cool. This is a matter of personal preference. This is a pub, not a deli, so potato chips should not be an automatic side. - Not many vegetarian or vegan options. There is hummus, a salad option, and a fish option. Very limited, which is a detractor. - Service. One of our family members ordered their burger with no pickles and no mustard, but the wait staff made an error when they entered our order. I understand mistakes happen, but simple things like this take additional time to fix. The wait staff had to put in the correct order and we had to wait longer. Additionally, we had difficulty flagging down staff when we needed things. Their staff are nice, but they don't appear well-staffed. It was not full the Sunday afternoon we were there, so I'm uncertain what a busy time actually looks like. - Layout. For parties larger than 4, it appears they need to put tables together, so be prepared. Final answer Would be willing to return, but not a first choice.

I started with a 1794 Old Fashioned, which was good enough that I had a second one with dinner. My wife had a Pinot Noir. I had originally planned on ordering the 14 oz. bone-in ribeye, but after seeing that prime rib was offered as a Friday and Saturday special, I decided to try the Molly Pitcher English-cut prime rib prepared 1794 style with the extra grilling. Unfortunately, about five minutes after ordering, I was told they had sold out. I went back to my original choice of the ribeye, ordered medium rare, with Yukon Smash and the seasonal vegetable, which that evening was corn on the cob. The ribeye was tender and flavorful and cooked the way I wanted it. My wife had the chicken pot pie and enjoyed it, although she thought it could have used a little more butter. Desserts are presented verbally rather than on a printed menu. I had the bourbon apple blondie while my wife chose the skillet cookie, which was topped with ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Both were very good. The restaurant is located inside the Comfort Inn and literally occupies the same space where the hotel's breakfast is served each morning. From our table I could even see the small refrigerator used for the breakfast yogurts, so the setting doesn't provide quite the same atmosphere as a standalone restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and I would consider returning when we're back for Corvettes at Carlisle next year. I'd probably make an earlier reservation next time so I could finally try the prime rib.

The steaks were okay -- they seemed tough and mine, for medium seemed slightly over cooked with hardly any pink inside and what there was was very light pinkish / brown color. Jenni said her steak was done to her satisfaction -- medium well. I would say mine was probably also medium well. My steak had a lot of fat and gristle that I didn't eat. The mashed potatoes were amazing. My asparagus seemed stingy in size and number of stalks and added little taste or filling to my plate. Jenni said her green beans were okay. The iced tea was great. My Pepsi didn't taste flavorful though Alyssa said she checked the soda bags and they were full. I swapped for sweetened ice tea. Alyssa was a super friendly server who checked on us regularly. We want to patronize local businesses but we probably wouldn't get our meals again and would try something else. Jenni said she'd rate our experience as a 2.5 which is exactly what I'd give so we're going to round up since maybe our experience was just a little off this evening.

The maitre d' was friendly and I was made to feel welcome and escorted to my table. A lively, modern dining room that did give off the "relaxed fine dining" vibes. I liked my seat where I could watch the busy bar and the brightly lit open kitchen. I studied the menu. Pretty extensive and, while not crazy-innovative, seemed somewhat above the average in creativity. I decided on the swordfish special. No free bread though. Lack of free bread is almost automatic loss of star for me; this alarming practice must stop. But for some reason I really wanted bread that day. I did find "Smoked Goat Bread" on the menu, the only bread listed, for $14. Hoping for some good focaccia or similar. Far from it. Room temperature, hardly any toasting, soggy, small. For Fourteen Dollars! Tastewise, the chèvre was excessive and the balsamic wasn't enough to balance its tangy, assertive flavor. Not sure what was meant by "smoked," as there was no smoke flavor in it. The swordfish was perfectly cooked and absolutely fresh. And also, unacceptably tiny. The lemongrass sauce may have been great but it was hard to tell, the 9 drops artfully splayed across the plate were woefully insufficient for anything but decoration. The risotto portion also was small with a weird consistency that was both watery and creamy. The carrots, thin and in rainbow colors, were delicious. At least I they were for the 15 seconds it took me to consume the 3 dwarf vegetables, leaving me wanting more. Just like I wanted more swordfish and more risotto. On the way to the rest room I passed the kitchen and saw somebody's salmon plate, with a piece of fish almost 3 times as big as mine. Hey, if swordfish's too expensive, either raise the price and let the customer decide or remove it from the menu. My portion was just insulting. I wasn't drinking alcohol that evening but ordered a mocktail, an alcohol-free margarita. Big mistake! Awful. I've had some great mocktails before and know alcohol isn't always essential but this thing was almost undrinkable, so unbalanced, too sweet, thick, no fresh fruit tang. I didn't order any dessert. I didn't want to risk another disappointment.
