Total let down. Live in WV was in Louisville for work and sen a White Castle was so excited. Have eaten the frozen variety for years and love them. Was so excited to get the real thing. Ordered through grub hub to hotel couldn't wait. Major disappointment. Tasted and smelled like they just put onions in onion soup mix and slathered on bun and little meat. Was total let down. Shout out to the guys working Sunday evening - they were drive thru only but it was 9PM and we had a baby with us in a carrier- they unlocked even though they were cleaning and let us in. I had always wanted to come to White Castle ever since they made the movie. Coming to Kentucky was the opportunity I needed. I stopped by looking forward to a great dining experience but was met with locked doors. All tue doors were locked yet drive through was still open. There was no posting to inform guests as to the reason. I needed up ordering through the drive-thru. I order their White Castle meal that came with four burgers and fries. So on a stop through Lexington, KY I peeped the sign and confirmed it was less than 3 blocks from our hotel! Now let's be real-I turned down wagyu steak for the square sandwich which I missed! This White Castle is slow... they will always be out of something in your order (big red... bologna... 1921 sliders...), and you will absolutely encounter a sobering slice of humanity because there is always a homeless person somewhere in their parking lot. But part of life is drinking too much, eating greasy food, and remembering to have empathy for the people you forget exists. Was happy to see White Castle next to where we are working. Came in for early dinner. I got the Sack of shrimp (highly recommend it!!) wife got jalapeño panko fish sliders. All food was made fresh. Different location, same model... Reviews do not change much. We were in to Louisville KY for this visit. This was a very large location close to our hotel so we had to take a walk here. I LOVE SLIDERS!!! I have always loved their sliders.... This is the home of the original slider, everything else is just an imitation. This 5 star review is not going to change anyone's feelings of White Castle but gives me a platform to say just how much I enjoy this place. This restaurant is big, bright, plenty of windows and clean! Parking is easy and easy access to and from Hempstead Turnpike. Food is fresh... I have never had one of their burgers that looks like it was sitting around for a while... The can't, the place is too busy. There were so many people coming in to pick up orders and going to the drive through window. I enjoy watching them make my order. YOu can see how fresh it is. All team members are friendly and quick to react to the customers walking in the door. Their fries and onion chips are also a crispy treat. If you're a WC fan, try this location... you will like it... If you're not, no location will work for you. I am incredibly impressed how WC has changed their menu over the years to accommodate the changing tastes of their customers. They even have a new veggie slider. I'm not sure how... but the frozen ones are more flavorful, have a fuller meat patty, and are also not dripping in oil. I would recommend if you can actually stand the dirtiness and dinginess of the restaurant and how dirty the floors and chairs are. This looks like years of neglect. I cannot see how they have a "A" and the dining room is open. This White Castle has some worse for wear and desperately needs a good remodel. Overall, customer service was good though. (Which is why I gave two stars instead of one). I did hear a worker yelling because the customer didn't come to the counter get their food fast enough. Food was mediocre. I love White Castle. A total guilty pleasure. When I saw one behind my hotel it was a matter of when not if I was visiting. We arrived slightly before 8 PM on a Saturday. There were some teenagers in front of us ordering a considerable amount. It took between 10-15 minutes to get our food. Typical fast food joint, service was typical, lady at the counter was nice. Food was atrocious. I dont know how people like this...I got a 2-slider combo. The sliders were tasteless and had a bad texture. Fries were ok, pretty standard. Drink was from the fountain. The restaurant was dirty, with spilled drinks all over the counter. Floors were filthy. A gentlemen told me he had been there for 42 minutes waiting, he asked about his order and finally got it. He left and had to return because they forgot his cheese fries. The store was filthy , missing floor tile at the front door, only three employees present and two of those were not what used to be WC quality employees. What has happened to the quality control at WC. There used to be numerous employees in clean crisp uniforms, and a manager who helped when needed. What can I say... it's White Castle. Hadn't been here in probably 20 years as it's not really a thing in Los Angeles. I got a little of everything... a chicken and waffle slider, cheeseburger , and a chicken sandwich combo with onion rings and a medium drink. The chicken and waffle slider was my favorite. The chicken was a little dry but the moisture in the waffle balanced it out. The onion rings were delicious. Everything was good and what you'd come to expect from the legendary chain. There is only White Castle in Vegas, closest state to California. But gonna try it out simply because of that funny movie. My advice is Don't go to White Castle in Vegas. Their lines are always ridiculous long. Visited Kentucky recently and there are plenty of White Castles around, so here we are: . The mini burgers are snack size. But they are more flavorful than McDonald's, don't expect their patties have as much meat though, McDonald's discount menu is already lacking meat. . Their menu is a bit more fun. I tried the ghost pepper, it is almost not spicy at all lol, but I tried. In general if you really want to enjoy a serious burger they are obviously the wrong choice, but you are in something of very different experiences they are worth a try. Personally I don't prefer any burger places, but if I am really hungry and must go to a burger place they are not the one, however if I want a change of menu then they are better than McDonald's or Wendy's or other non serious burger places (obviously I am saying the above aren't the serious ones). read more

If I could give this place 0 starts I would. First off coming in there is a spill on the ground that still has not been cleaned up, all they did was put a wet floor sign over it. Then I had to use the restroom and asked for the code, then I would come out and order. The girl was rude and said "it's at the bottom of the receipt." I had to wait for the rest of my family members to come in to order our food. The ordering process took a while so I was able to look around more while waiting for the bathroom. I finally for the receipt and went to the bathroom which was disgusting! The worst park is the bathroom was equally disgusting as the dining area!!!! The health inspector gave it an A and I have no idea how. This place is gross. The floors, chairs, walls, everything in there was gross covered in grime. I don't even want to think about what the kitchen looks like. My family still wanted to give it a chance so we got the food. The burgers were nasty. The chicken rings and fries were the only good things here. The employees were all rude, when we asked for no onion on 2 burgers for my son the lady in the back cooking rolled her eyes and scoffed! As if making the food was that hard. This is my first and LAST time coming to White Castle. Never again. This location needs shut down with how disgusting the facility is, along with their rude staff. A health inspector needs to come back and shut it down. The waffles were buttery, and the chicken was crispy. Came with white gravy and bacon pieces, so small didn't know they were bacon at all. Wanted to eat in the restaurant but there was a creepy man very uncomfortably staring at us (3 girls). So creepy, that another customer came up to us and informed us that he was staring and advised we stay away. He also informed the staff but they did nothing, so we took our order to-go.
