I don't like it when people rate someplace a single star if its not highbrow enough for them or they compare it to some $50 a place sit-down restaurant and then complain when its not the same thing. We all know what White Castle is, you either love them or hate them and some of my family teases me for eating at this chain a few times a year. So do they have tasty little steamed sliders that are also popular with people hung over or wasted late into the night? Yes. Is it a nutritionist's dream? Of coarse not. Its inexpensive and hits the spot without being too heavy unless you eat to many. A few things to point out, some fast food and some restraints for that matter really struggle with getting soda mixes right with the right amount of syrup and carbonation. McDonalds is known for getting it right with a high consistency. So does White Castle! No matter where or when I hit a White Castle in my travels they always have perfectly balanced soda. The last few years I only drink Zero and if no choice Diet. However, even with these low calorie choices they get the soda mix just right. Every single time. Oh BTW, we were served quickly and without fanfare or problems. What more can you ask for. If you want a steak go to a steakhouse, but stop trashing on White Castle for not being a steakhouse. read more

This fast food joint is attached to the convenience store at a gas station. The seating area is small with 4 tables and a handful of chairs. They do have a drive thru. Service is on the slow side despite 6 employees visibly working. The drive thru seems to be the popular choice for most people instead of coming into a small area to order. The cashier must be new so he did ask questions on how to input the orders from his fellow employees. Have patience while you order since I assume there was a lot of newer employees on my visit. Overall, it's a White Castle! You come for their mini burgers. I do appreciate the fun drink area where you can pick your own drinks! read more

This White Castle is a HR travesty. It's really cool seeing a place that I enjoy going too connected to a gas station. It's right off the highway too getting into the state. The staff here absolutely doesn't care about the guests. One of the staff members was talking to the crew that he's "about to go to jail" and other mischievous behaviors towards me. Another employee was flirting with female guests. My food was squished and overcooked on top of them screwing up the easiest possible order. read more

Neither my husband nor I had had White Castle before and of course you grow up hearing all about it. We got in from a late flight and didn't have any other options so thought why not try?! Sorely disappointed. Burgers were mushy, fries weren't salted and tasted like they'd been fried in old oil. The chicken was okay, but nothing to write home about. Needless to say, this will be our one and only White Castle experience. read more

The food and service is always ok. The only problem I have is that they fill the coffee cup too full. I usually end up spilling it. But overall they much better than the nearby fast food drive thrus read more

I ate here last night and it's your typical White Castle joint, except it's connected to a gas station. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, but they got my order correct. The food was your typical WC burgers that are called belly bombers for a reason. read more

Only place open late at night while driving home on the interstate after a concert. Food was hot, fresh and tasty and we were grateful that WC came through in the clutch. read more

2am... fussy baby girl that won't sleep... hungry... 20 minutes there and 20 back to Whitey Cassel's... this is starting to sound like a line from the Blue's Brothers. What can really be said about White Castle that isn't already common knowledge? Slimy cheeseburgers, slathered in onions with grease and gobs of cheese squashed between those buns that are somewhere between a dinner roll and half of a hot dog bun... sounds like... AWESOMESAUCE!! And the extra giant vats of cola that would last a week if they didn't go flat? My blood glucose level is begging for a government subsidy. And what's up with the gas station locations?!?!? Cultural nirvana, THAT'S WHAT! 2am, the baby finally asleep after a ride in the back seat of the Expedition... sitting in the parking lot watching a domestic dispute go down, some teenagers knocking over the garbage can, and remembering a time when I was out there hell raising instead of putting fussy, teething babies to sleep. Brings a tear to my eye. But there is a dark side... no I am not talking about the effects that require a visit to the natural medicine practitioner for a high colonic on that funny plastic enema board. The fries absolutely suck donkey @$#%. COMEON! They're these Ore-Ida krinkle fries that you used to get in the school cafeteria on soy burger day. Must be some Ore-Ida board member on the board of White Castle System... ol' boy network or something... because these things are good for fish bait. But hey, I'm not going to detract from the deliciousness of steamed beef puree with holes, sliding down at 2am while Jessica beats the crap out of her old man as the Harrison 5-0 rolls in with the bubble gum blinking away on top of the cruiser. Clean restaurant and the staff was incredibly nice. My only problem is the food. There's nothing wrong with it, but it's not my thing. They tasted okay to good, but nothing that wowed me. The thin meat patty actually worked with the thickness of the bun, but it just wasn't flavorful enough, even with the grilled onions and sauce. I tried the Mac Nibblers, which is a breaded fried triangle of Kraft macaroni and it was good, but again, nothing that knocked my socks off. Glad I tried White Castle, but now I understand why they aren't a national chain. read more

The mozz sticks were delicious. The burgers weren't bad. The fries were good. The mustard was decent. Soda machine was a little messed up. The chicken bites tasted like Tyson chicken. Overall experience was nice. read more
