This is the McDonald's that time forgot. Somehow this franchisee has managed to avoid any of the sleek exterior or interior updates all the other franchises in the country have undergone in the past 20 years. When I step into this McDonald's with it's original shingled roof, it's like returning to my youth and all the Happy Meals I consumed. We make it a point to stop at this location on the way to Ohio so we can show our kids what McDonald's "used to look like." Some reviewers have complained about the interior, but I love the old local touches and photographs on the wall celebrating Harrison and it's residents. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and they were busy, but the dining room and bathrooms were clean and the wait wasn't long. I did notice one of my kids got a dated Happy Meal toy from a previous promotion which was kind of strange, but he wasn't too upset. In fact, I overheard a mom at another table say the staff went in the back room and retrieved her kid's requested toy. My family and family friends ordered here so I'm reviewing on their behalf. They said the food was excellent compared to other McDonalds locations. One of them placed a mobile order and it was ready almost immediately. The other ordered inside and it took considerably longer to where I had to bump the stars from 5 to 4. Not sure how this place has passed by without any renovations. The inside screams outdated and tacky. Nothing represents the brand whatsoever as the decor features local elements such as a fishing mural and park photos (faded and all). Several conversation starters including cheesy wall art and goofy wallpaper borders. There was a bunch of open seats but once again everything is outdated and faded. The staff seemed nice and quick but the cashier needed to speak up as I couldn't hear her question and still needed to clarify. The food came out quick but the egg on my sandwich was just slightly warm. Note- avoid these restrooms. It was only 10am and there was no toilet paper. And only one hand dryer that barely works. This place was always very slow prior to their renovation. I avoided them for that reason and because of the very tight drive thru lane. Even after renovation which added a drive thru lane and got rid of the curbs all together, they're super slow and lacking any smiling faces or pleasantries over the speaker. I work in Harrison so I frequently visit this McDonalds location. Service various- not always sure you are going receive the correct order. Its hard to say a bad thing about their beacon egg and cheese biscuit- tasty, cheap, and somewhat filling.... although sometimes they are cold. I ordered a ice coffee last Friday and I will be sticking to dunkn donuts iced coffee. I had throw it away. Although I don't like there iced coffee..you absolutely CAN NOT go wrong with their coke. I'm not much of a soda drinker but I can't get enough of their Coca Cola. Lastly, the drive thru cashier that works in the morning during the week is super sweet. Always happy and smiling! read more

I'm sure that this review will fall on deaf ears, as this establishment hasn't improved in years. You order a large French fries and you get a half full container. You order hot fudge Sunday and it's also only half full. Burgers are way over done and taste as if they have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I'm not sure what the source is but there is a horrible odor near the area were you order your food. It has been there for months. Possibly coming from behind the coffee equipment. Store is still ran down and not too clean. But buisness is brisk, so I assume this is why the franchise owner doesnt seem interested in any updates on the building. read more

Visited again today. Once again drive through full. Went inside and 10 people waiting to order with ONE cashier. This place is miss managed. I drove over the bridge to Bob Evans. Their egg sandwich cost more but was GREAT! Terrible service! I am a regular customer here. I avoid the drive through to avoid using fuel for nothing. Going inside, I spent 10 minutes in line and an additional 10 minutes waiting for a coffee and sandwich. I cannot wait until they'd automate! Poorly managed. read more

The people handling the food weren't wearing gloves during this COVID-19 pandemic, gross. They were very rude and shouldn't be handling food when they don't understand how to abide by rules from the president. No matter how many times I visit this location service is always bad. They always forget something, don't have something, or get something wrong. We visited there last night at 10:30p, ordered 2 cheeseburgers no onion no mustard and 2 strawberry pies. We sat at the pick up window for 10 minutes waiting on our order. I make it a habit of checking my order before leaving the parking lot. I grabbed 1 of the pies and noticed the box was cold. I took a bite out of the pie and the filling was cold, it was like they stored it in the walk in. My daughter took a bite of her cheeseburger and said it was cold too. I turned the car light on and she noticed there was NO meat. I took the bag back inside and one of the ladies asked if they could help me. I said yes, I handed the bag to her and told her I wasn't satisfied, my food was cold and the burgers were missing the meat. I told her I wanted my money back because I wasn't gonna wait another 10 minutes. She grabbed the bag, threw it in the garbage and refunded me. She never once asked if they could fix the order or offer a credit. The employees at this location should really spend more time focusing on their jobs and less time playing around. read more

In the mornings I just stopped going, would be stuck at drive thru for 15-20 minutes, 3 cars would go thru, then stop for 5-10 minutes on 1 car, they never had those cars move to designated areas and bring them food. First off when when I was placing my order through the drive throu the lady kept interrupting me and asking if I was done ordering after each item. When I pulled to the window I gave her a $10 bill for a $7.16 order I was supposed to get back $2.84 I was handed two nickels and a dime the this lady proceeded to throw into my hand dropping some change without an apology when I asked how much the bill was one more time, thinking I might be mistaken about the change I was supposed to get back, she ignored me and started talking to another crew member and slammed the window shut. Overall very rude service, no action was taken and no apologies were made. And on top of it all my food was cold and dripping in Greece & the milk I ordered with a kids meal was warm.
