I politely explained that I preferred not to order both at the same time because I did not want my appetizer and meal arriving together. Dining out is an experience that I like to enjoy at a relaxed pace, and I prefer not to feel rushed. The Zucchini Fries were acceptable, but they were not memorable enough for me to order again. The aftertaste was the biggest drawback and ultimately left me unimpressed. For my entrée, I ordered the salmon with sweet potato fries and broccoli. The broccoli was much crunchier than I prefer and seemed undercooked, as if it had not been steamed long enough. The salmon lacked flavor and was heavily salted. In fact, there appeared to be salt all over the fish, which overwhelmed the dish and made it difficult to enjoy. The sweet potato fries were the highlight of the meal, but they were not exceptional enough to justify a return visit. Overall, I expected a better dining experience from Red Robin. My husband is a fan of their cheeseburger and fries, which are always a solid choice. The food is good across the board, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for what you receive. In a time when so many restaurants have become expensive, it's refreshing to find a place that still offers good value. My one small complaint is their policy of not seating your table until everyone in your party has arrived. I understand the reason behind it, but when you're looking forward to that first cup of their excellent coffee, it can make the wait feel a little longer than it should! So if you're meeting friends there, make sure they're the on-time kind of people. The service is friendly, the food comes out hot, and the overall experience is always enjoyable.
