The attention to detail and care they gave when describing the process and helping us choose our frame/mat was exceptional. They had so many frames to choose from, so that expertise was well appreciated. We dropped off our print just before Easter and were told there was a months-long backlog, but we could expect the print back in 4 months or so. It ended up taking 6 months to complete. We were out of town when they finally finished, so they kindly hung onto our work for another month before went to pay and pick up. While the project took longer than expected, we were appreciative of the kindness shown by the staff member who helped us and we would definitely return to have other things framed for our home.

Do not recommend…read more After using Herzog Kitchen and Bath for a successful kitchen remodel many years ago, we turned to them when it was time for a master bath remodel. Herzog was so off the mark with a design plan that we ended up hiring a designer outside of their company. At this point we were still wanting to use them because the contracting work in our kitchen was well done and we expected the same level of attention to our bathroom so we stuck with them. We had also signed a contract that would allow them to keep $10,000 if we backed out. Touching base with Deb and Heather proved difficult on most occasions and was even a joke openly laughed about with sub-contractors who couldn't get them to answer their phone. After the project was finished (not on time) by Herzog, the grout in our shower failed after two months... completely came out of the shower floor. Ryan wanted to use an epoxy grout and after assuring my husband and I that the color of the grout would match the original color and taking out the grout wouldn't chip our tile, Ryan put in the wrong color epoxy grout and chipped nearly every single floor tile all along each edge. He also didn't remove all of the original grout on the floor so we had two-toned grout at this point. After 1 week this grout peeled out in our shower floor... Ryan came back and assured us he had a new, heavier duty epoxy product that would be the right color, be super durable and look great. He told us he would do a test to make sure the grout was the correct color before applying it to the floor because once this grout was applied it wouldn't be able to be removed. He didn't do this. He told us that if it was done incorrectly this third time he would remove the tile floor and replace it since removing the grout wouldn't be an option. We even agreed that he would order the floor tile just in case he needed it and so we wouldn't have to wait for it to arrive. We trusted him. We completely trusted him. We shouldn't have. Ryan applied this super heavy-duty epoxy grout and it was the wrong color. Much darker than the original. He also smeared the epoxy grout all over our natural finish stone tile which immediately plastisized our tile, made it shiny and slick... it basically ruined our tile. It was dangerous, it changed the quality of the tile and changed its coloring. Herzog and I tried multiple fixes to get this residue out of our tile and nothing removed the grout residue from our natural stone. They all agreed it looked bad and all agreed the color was wrong. They said they were sorry and wanted to get a rep from the company out to see the mess so they could be reimbursed for the work they were going to have to do replacing our floor. They wanted to blame the rep for their mistakes. The rep for the product agreed it was installer error, not product error and they would not reimburse Herzog. This was the point that Herzog said they would not replace our floor. Ryan had three colors of grout in our new floor, he had plastisized our tile with epoxy residue and he chipped almost every tile on our floor.... He didn't stand by his work and didn't keep his word. He stopped returning our calls and instead had Deb call us. She told us that we could "paint" the grout with a special paint and this was all they were willing to do for us. .. This product has a life of about 12 months (they had us call their rep to verify how great the product would be and this is what they told us) and would need to be redone by us on repeat for the rest of the life of our bathroom. This was Herzog's solution to a brand new $30,000 bath remodel that had been solely messed up by Ryan..... Fast forward 4 months and the grout on the shower walls is coming off and the orange backer board is showing through. Herzog used to do good work, but they have dropped the ball. I would never recommend them to anyone and I am so sad we used them. All of this mess is documented with photos of anyone is interested in seeing them.

Herzog is the only company that gave us a design that we loved (we had a very narrow space to work with so other companies found it challenging to do anything different than what it already looked like). As far as pricing, they were middle of the road. We have learned from redoing almost our entire house to never go with the cheapest option, so we knew Herzog was the way to go, and we were correct. Heather helped us pick out colors, designs, and even helped us pick a kitchen table and new light fixture. We liked that it was the same person doing all the work and if he brought anyone in, he introduced us first so we knew who was going to be in our home. Ryan was also very sweet to our children and they still ask us when he is coming over to "build things". We were planning on just fixing up the kitchen so we could sell the house. Our realtor said that we could now get about $30k more for our house if we sold it, but we love it so much we might not move! Thank you Herzog! We love our kitchen, and so does everyone else!

My first visit I bought fabric, got a tour and signed up for 2 open sews. Went to my 1st open sew. It is a large square of tables with ironing and cutting in the center. The husband owner was sitting at a table working on quilts. The wife owner was walking around. I smiled & introduced myself. As I'm unpacking a women asked for help with tshirt quilts. Owner wife pulled out some templates the customer could use and talked about having template access during open sew. Since it was my 1st time, I precut everything before I got there. I cut my ENTIRE quilt using my June Taylor Shape Cut Plus Ruler which btw changed my life! I used to cut everything with a metal ruler and rotary. Finding such a tool existed was awesome and has saved me sooo many hours. In planning for the future I asked if they had the June Taylor strip ruler. It's not small so it would be nice to not have to haul it along. What they SHOULD have said: We don't carry that brand but we love that ruler too and have one made by Creative Grids. You can try it if you want and I can tell you why I think it's a better brand, just let me know. What they DID say- and by THEY, I mean the ENTIRE room in full loud voices and unison: NOOOOOO!!!!! I was STUNNED! I was so uncomfortable. I was shocked. I stood up and tried to laugh it off and said something like well, I love my ruler and I will be using it often. I had zero idea why they hated the ruler so much. I am brand spankin' new to this store! Seriously? I'm adult and you are going to scream NO at me? What the h*ck! The owner starts explaining my version is junk and hers broke and and and and and and and. The room was going on and on too. I felt like CRAP! This is what I own. June Taylor brand has been selling quilting supplies since 1961 and AccuQuilt thought enough of the brand to buy it this year. I left the room and called my husband. I burst out crying. Went back in and owner wife asked if I was OK. I couldn't do it. I gathered my stuff and busted out crying again. I told her why I was upset or tried to but all she could do was explain to me why her grid was a better product. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE RULER! She told me this group used to belong to another and the people there were mean so they started their own blah blah blah and here is more about the ruler. I told her the group did not really seem ready and willing to accept new people and certainly wasn't thinking about how they treat them on the 1st minutes of their 1st day. I appreciate they found like-minded people to click with, but if they aren't open to new people, different equipment and different styles, it's best to not open it to the public. I left. Later that day, I called and asked to speak to the wife owner She could barely give me a single word answer to anything I asked or said. She said she had been crying and she couldn't believe that somebody wouldn't feel welcome in her store and she "let her guard down." She also said she had been sick. I told her wanted my money back and fine to take it as a store credit. What I wish she would've said during this call was I'm so sorry that this happened and I want you to come back and feel welcome and let me give you a refund for today. I will remind the group there are as many styles of quilting and quilters as there are fabrics in my store. She STILL didn't understand during this conversation what made me cry. She made it about herself and her creative grid ruler...again. Stopped in 10 days later to spend my $20 credit. The owner wife was sitting inside the door at a sewing machine, she saw me. I saw her. I debated on saying something but husband owner greeted me from the cutting table. She walked out of the room. I bought $21 worth of items with my $20 credit and got the h*ck out of there without seeing her again, probably for the best. The husband owner and his mother are extremely kind and professional and I had a fully positive experience with both of them.

I thought it would work and I was wrong. Everything behind it is blurry. Total waste of $60 and now I need to find something thinner.
