Some of the Best Coffee Around! This place is a gem! White Buffalo Coffee Bar has some of the best, most reasonably priced coffee I've had in a LONG time. What really sets them apart are their unique flavor options--cheesecake, tiger mocha, white buffalo, rocky road--you won't find these at your standard coffee shop. I got the large frozen cheesecake coffee, and let me tell you, it was GAS. So good. I was worried it'd be overly sweet, but it was perfect. Probably not for plain black coffee lovers, but if you're into milk, cream, and sugar, this is a must-try. I also got the large iced Reese's mocha. You can definitely taste the peanut butter more than the chocolate. It was still really good, but maybe skip it if you're not a peanut butter fan. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors! *Put That Thing Back Where It Came From or So Help Me* I've always really liked this place; the drinks are consistently good, and the convenience of the drive-through makes it an easy go-to. The staff has also always been friendly, which I appreciate. That's why this last visit was so disappointing. We paid $50 for two sandwiches and two drinks, and what we got just didn't match that price at all. The sandwiches no longer come with lettuce or tomato, and they didn't even include chips. It felt like we were paying more for less across the board. I understand that prices are going up everywhere right now, and I get that things may need to be marked up. But that only makes sense if the sandwiches still included everything they used to. The fact that there's less on them and they're more expensive just doesn't add up. I'm not sure what changed, please consider changing it back. This used to feel like a place worth the price, and I'd really love to keep coming here if it can get back to what it was. read more

Had a great experience. Staff were super friendly. Place was clean, modern with fun, simple decor. My drink was great. They have sugar free, decaf, and non-dairy options as well as some Gluten free options to eat. Only gave four stars because their oven was broken so I wasn't able to get the food I wanted and they didn't tell me until after I had already ordered. Good Coffee. Good Atmosphere & Aesthetics. Could improve in a few areas. The customer service was outstanding. My barista Hannah was able to whip up an off the menu substitute for dark drip coffee (because White Buffalo doesn't have any) Areas to Improve: 1. Need to expand drip coffee selection. Only 1 drip coffee doesn't cut it in a coffee shop. At least have 2: the house blend and a rotator. A light, medium, and dark roast would be preferred. I never order the fancy sugar/latte/cream drinks, and I know many others who fall in that category. 2. The Wifi is SLOW. Painfully slow. I was sitting there waiting and waiting for pages to load. So I ran a speed test (see picture). Who knows, maybe I was sitting far from the router, and maybe the speed was slower today, but 2-3MBPS is horrendous. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I ran the speed test 5 times. All results were between 2-4MBPS. This should be addressed: up the speed purchase an extender, etc. 40-50MBPS is appropriate for a coffee shop. This gets 4 stars for Altus, 2-3 stars in a Large Metropolitan area such as Grand Rapids, MI. Cheers! read more

If you are lucky enough to call Altus home or are just TDY here for training, definitely check this place out! I am used to Peet's and Starbucks and was hoping to find a local coffee place and I found one here that fits the bill. The building is a decent size, about the same if not bigger than some Starbucks, but with a more open floor plan. They have shirts, coffee tumblers, and even cold brew growlers for sale. There is a drive thru that is pretty quick when there is more than one person working on bar. If not the wait might be a few minutes but it is worth it! I usually get a vanilla or lavender latte and I cannot complain at all. I honestly think it is better than Starbucks--and I was a barista there for a while so I know how to make lattes. They also have pastries like muffins and coffee cake if you like those with your morning cup of joe or tea. I come here for the free WiFi because I do not currently have it in my hotel and am waiting to move into a house. The internet is fast and there are plenty of outlets on the outer part of the building if you need them. The cost might be a tad higher than what you pay at Starbucks and they do not have a rewards program that I know of but if you like supporting the local community try this place! I probably couldn't afford to come here every day but almost everything is under $5 unless you get something frozen. Did I mention this is veteran owned?? Friendly staff helped whip up White Buffalo mochas, and put together custom breakfast bagels. We were so glad they were open because two other breakfast /donut places said they were open online and on Yelp but were actually closed. Stopped by here on the suggestion of my son and his GF who were stationed at Altus. I had one of the specialty white chocolate espressos with almond milk and sugar free. It was really good. No military discount is offered but they prices are far less than competitive coffee shops. I'm not sure how long this shop has been open but it's very cozy inside. Drive thru is available and plenty of seating along with free WiFi. Just located right outside of Altus AFB. Stars. 1 star for very friendly wonderful service from a very enthusiastic staff. 1 star for facilities. 1 star for drinks and eats 1 star for clean restrooms 1 star for over all experience. Walked in at 0700. No greeting, but they look preoccupied, although there was only one other customer in the store. Stood at the front just waiting. After a minute or so it got fairly awkward. This coffee bar is AMAZING! Altus needs more businesses like this. They have a large bar table, small bar tables, normal tables, and a small seating area. The shop has a modern and young vibe. They opened such a smart business. Coasters that charge your phone, a way to keep your computer plugged in with free wifi, simple tasty menu, and great little 2$ smoothies for kids. The only place besides Dutch bros that gave an appropriate size drink for kids. I've bought the beans whole and although on the pricy side really tasty; I got the light roast (which you can't get in Altus at all except for White Buffalo) and it was delicious. Very good place to get a cup of coffee or an espresso drink. Their cappuccinos are Italian style, and the beans they use are very good. Couple that with Braum's milk and you get an unbelievable drink at very reasonable prices. Staff was absolutely slammed on Saturday when we went, but that could just be them getting the kinks worked out on opening week. Expect business to slow down after they've been open a while.
