Has seats by open window area that face that water Vibe: mostly Jason Mraz music. calm Food: -Mushrooms - good seasoning of herbs, but not salty enough -Mashed potatoes - good flavor, but too much butter -Ratatouille - quite simple in flavor, needs more substance in seasoning or flavoring -Ginger beer - too sweet and not enough ginger flavor or carbonation -Fish and chips (2) - Seabream and Monkfish, Both fish were well-fried with good flavor. Personally preferred the monkfish as it was a more unique flavor. The chips were good. Larger cut fries -Mixed basket: Oysters, crabcakes and calamari I had were quite good. Didn't try the baby fish in the basket. Overall, the entrees were better than the appetizers. Price per person for 4 people: $200 I'd return for the entrees, but reconsider the appetizer choices.

Before I became vegetarian I loved their chicken. It's a juicy rotisserie roast with crispy skin. Signature fish and chips are also delicious. Now, this is food I would eat back home! The things I like about this place is that the food is made to order (be prepared to wait!) and the fish seems fresh. It's a bit pricey but then again most of the stuff is imported, and i guess expat cuisine (along with prices!). I mostly like the lunch specials which is $65 for fish filets, sauce, and a drink which makes the deal not so bad. Especially with the servings. If you're not too hungry you can share it with someone else. Though the things I dislike that this place with its prices is cash only, and also it's a takeaway only joint so for those who wish to try this but don't live or work in this area, the nearest public spaces you can sit is the lower part of the escalator or there is an open space near Wo On Lane in Lan Kwai Fong.

Wah wah wah! Another hidden gem!…read more The food here is so good and there's quite a few unique dishes!! Seafood is very fresh and tasty. The deep fried tofu is bomb! Super silky and smooth, without a chewy skin. The salted egg yolk shrimps are coated evenly and the shells are edible! The mantis prawns are very juicy and fresh. I also loved the clams soup and the pork chops! Must haves: salted egg yolk shrimps, deep fried tofu, and mantis prawns. Prices are also very fair. Probably even cheaper than many other places that aren't as good! I saw a few michelin signs on the walls, but I'm not sure if it's referring to them or the alcohol they're promoting. But I do think their food is good enough to be Michelin!! It is quite a busy place so be sure to book a reservation!

Much like sik siu, since the eaters are of high exertion, the food would most naturally be as trashy as can be~ Healthy eaters might want to hit the return button now as the foods may be despicably fattening. Deep fried is almost the golden rule for every trashy food, even in Hong Kong; the famous shrimp toast is actually minced shrimp smeared on a piece of bread and deep fried to crunchy perfection; and you got it, the piece of bread is soaked with grease. To make it even more damaging, mayonnaise is served on the side for you to dip the toast in. Damaging as it seems, but it is also very gratifying and is often the dish that is cleared the soonest. Food: 4.25 stars Environment: 4.25 stars Service: 3.5 stars Value: 3.5 stars Overall: 4 stars Recommendations: crab cake, linguini vongole, rib eye steak. Things I enjoyed : 1) crab cake - The crab cake is priced at 195 hkd for a large crab cake. This made of fresh crab and there isn't that much filler. It had a nice crispy crust on the outside and filled with plump crab. Really delicious dish. 2) Linguini vongole - Noodles were cooked to a nice al dente and the broth was really delicious. The clams were also quite plentiful and nice and big. 3) Rib eye steak- Quality of the meat is good and meat was seasoned properly. I would have liked the cut to be a bit thicker but overall this is a good steak. I also enjoyed the horseradish as it wasn't that strong and provided a nice flavor contrast without burning my nose. Things I found were good but not great: 1) Asparagus side dish - I would have preferred having the asparagus cooked a little bit more so that it was more soft. The sauce I didn't particularly like that much. 2) Parma ham - The quality of the ham is good. I didn't really like the black truffle paste and this could have used some nice balsamic vinegar. Overall I had a good experience at Penthouse and would come back again. The food is really tasty and you can enjoy your meal with a nice view.

There was plenty to choose from at the appetizer buffet table such as Asian, fresh greens, caprese salads, etc., assorted cold cuts, fruits, bread and more. The end of the table is your dessert section filled with petite dessert cups. The chocolate and passion fruits mousses were good, you can forget the white one though. Don't forget to cut and serve yourself a slice of cheesecake or marshmallow-topped tiramisu! My salmon entree was amazing. The salmon was indeed very buttery and savory. My friend got the chicken but she said my salmon was better. Service was amazing. People were friendly and our glasses were never empty. They also folded our napkins when we stepped away for more food. Overall great experience for a good price!

We also added the Chili Fries (an $18 upgrade), which were a fantastic, hearty addition. The T-Bone Steak was equally impressive--juicy, tender, and perfectly prepared. If you are coming here for a quality steak dinner, the kitchen absolutely delivers. The Service: Disappointing and Unprofessional While the kitchen staff shined, the floor service left a lot to be desired. A worker named Amy was walking around passing out balloons to guests. When my daughter politely asked for one, the staff member Amy unfortunately chose to criticize her for being "older" before finally giving in and handing one over. It was an uncalled-for and uncomfortable interaction that cast a shadow over what should have been a fun family dinner. The Ambience: High Energy The atmosphere at Dan Ryan's is incredibly hyper and high-energy. It has a vibrant, bustling classic American restaurant buzz. I like the taste but if I had to be picky, the spinach and salmon feels detached with the crepe. So it's like I was eating them separately instead of tasting a combination of them. The honey and banana crepe was normal. Overall speaking, I like the taste of their food. Atmosphere was nice though air-conditioning was a bit too cold for us. Can't argue with the results, but tastes a bit too oily and leaves an aftertaste. Had a couple bugs flying around the place - fair enough since it's an open air restaurant (big open door to outside).
