I then tried working with 2 additional roofing companies to fix my roof through my insurance. Nalley was the only company that was able to successfully work with my insurance and in an honest way. I worked with Shane very closely and he was always timely, professional, patient, responsive and solution oriented with my many calls and texts! I am recommending them to any neighbors that need roofing help. I wish I had reached out to them earlier so I would have saved myself 7 months of turmoil, time, worry and inefficiency with the other companies.

Preferred Exteriors replaced my roof. I have no complaints whatsoever with the quality of their…read morework or their professionalism. Their business model is entirely sketchy, though. They will offer a free roof inspection for hail damage with a drone. When they find that damage, they offer to help you submit that claim with your insurance company. They tell you they will replace your roof and all you have to pay is your insurance policy deductible. That's a pretty good deal for a new 30-year roof, right? Their price to replace your roof will be exactly whatever amount your insurance company approves for damage plus your deductible. Before you agree to anything in writing, get Preferred Exteriors to quote you the price to replace your roof BEFORE anything is submitted to your insurance company. If the cost to replace your roof is $25K, and if your insurance company approves $30K in damage, you will overpay these guys by several thousand dollars. And you will also unnecessarily be paying your insurance deductible out of your own pocket.

That was a mistake as they did not come out when the insurance adjuster came, as they promised, and ghosted me. The insurance company proceeded to low-ball me by saying my 20 year old roof just needed a repair job rather than a replacement. I was at wits end on how to proceed as it was obvious that my roof needed replacement rather than repair. Shingles were blowing off my roof. That is when Nelson Roofing came to my rescue. David went above and beyond the call of duty by going up on my roof and documenting the actual damage along with the poor condition to the rest of my roof. He took pictures and videos and the insurance company (a very popular insurance company) once again denied a roof replacement. He was able to finally convince my insurance company otherwise and I got my roof replaced. My new roof looks amazing and I am extremely happy with the work they did. I highly recommend them.

After installation, we had problems we never had before: roof leaks, ceiling damage, and animals entering the attic. We also had roofing nails left around our property that caused flat tires. Every time we reported an issue, we were given a different explanation...a nail, then the chimney cap, then chimney caulking. We have video of their "water test" where water was sprayed directly into the chimney cap vents, which is not a realistic test of rainfall. An independent chimney inspection later found no issues. We also have documentation from pest control showing missing drip edge that may explain how animals gained access. This company did not properly stand behind their work or provide a consistent, honest assessment of the problems after installation. I would strongly caution homeowners to look elsewhere.
