I went in on a Sunday afternoon to buy a specific kind of work boots for a new job. I wasn't greeted upon entry and spent at least 15 minutes standing befuddled by the women's shoe section (which is significantly smaller than the men's) waiting to be helped. Despite the store being empty, there were no employees in the front of the store. Eventually an employee comes out of the back room and says "someone is already helping you, right?". I replied no and gave the employee the specifications for the boots I need. He gave me a look that was somewhere in between puzzled and suprised (not really sure how to read it). He then pointed out ONE pair of boots and didn't say anything more. I asked if that was the only pair they had and he answered that they had one more (why wouldn't he tell me about both initially?) The conversation continued in the same fashion with the employee giving me as little information as possible and me pushing and fishing for more information. When I had decided on a pair he simply walked away without asking my shoe size so that I could try on shoes and make a purchase. I snapped pictures of the two brands and left the store feeling like my business was unwelcome (not a good feeling when you are trying to drop $280 on a pair of shoes). I am very sad I came in last year and Brittany helped me and I came in a couple days ago and found out that she no longer works there. I had a couple other gentlemen help me but they didn't help me the same as Brittany did. She didn't just stop helping me with boots she convinced me to get some new rain gear, sweatshirts, socks, jeans and much more. I am honestly very sad that she no longer works there. read more

The first time I was in, I was helping a client buy work boots. Neither one of us really knew what we were doing but the worker in the boot department took the time to give us a lot of options then recommend what he thought was suitable based on several we tried. He was so patient with us! We both ended up extremely pleased with the purchase. A week later I came back to the store to ask for help working out a book keeping struggle I was having (due to my error) and the manager and sales team were all very patient, talked me through my situation and helped me resolve it very quickly. They are such true professionals and each of them seems to really enjoy their work. I highly recommend this store for work wear -- great products and the customer service really can't be beat. read more

I returned two pairs of pants for my husband. When I walked into the store, there was no one at the counter. I stood at the counter for several minutes without anyone acknowledging me. When I called out to let my presents known by saying, "Hello".. The young girl cameover to the counter acting as though I had interrupted her.. My first thought was, "Wow, I have been standing here for several minutes with no acknowlegement." When she finally started doing my return, she acted as if she did not want to do it. The tags were still on the pants, I had my original receipt and again, with tags still on the pants! I had to fillout all this paperwork explaining why I wanted to return two pair of pants--With the original receipt and tags still on the items, unwashed or worn? After the credit was complete, she asked me who my husband worked for.. It was right on the receipt. I told her that it was on the receipt.. The sales person got mad at me and finally, I said I needed to speak to her manager.. The manager's customer service skills were not any better.. He was rude and unwilling to except the fact that his employee cound not do her job.. I will never shop at Whistle Workwear again.. Poor customer service.. They acted as though I had just robbed the store... I rated Whistle Workwear with a "one star," since I had no choice of "no star."
