Beaver Lake Cottages - The heart shaped knot hole

Amazing!! My wife, and I, celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in cabin #2. We were met with our…read moreromantic package, and music playing from the Direct TV stream. We were even welcomed by the deck with a heart shaped knot hole. The sleep number bed gave me the best sleep in years. We were refreshed, and we were able to reconnect. We felt like newlyweds, again. Thank you Kevin.

Hubby and I came here over the weekend for a spontaneous getaway. We just love Eureka Springs and…read moretry to come out once a year or so. Sometimes we stay in the old hotels downtown and other times we decide to stay on the lake. I like both options, but I will say the peacefulness out on the lake is so nice. If you're on the fence about it, please know you should have zero hesitation about staying at Beaver Lake Cottages. These are very nice little "homes" ... I had cottage #1 and it was quaint and comfortable. White wood inside, clean carpeting, a kitchen with all the trimmings, and a Jacuzzi tub below a large window facing the woods. Even the couch was nice - and you know the couch is like the first thing to go in a community room. This cottage was honestly some place I would actually live in - like a studio apartment since bed and living room are together. But it was homey, cozy, well-appointed and very, very clean. The cottages are relatively easy to find. There is a well-lit sign at the entrance to the driveway that you'd have to try very hard to miss, even at night. The cottages are built along a pretty steep hill along the path to the lake, but it wasn't trouble by any means. At night, when we arrived, it was a bit nerve-wracking since I didn't know what the area actually looked like - all you see is a narrow lane and black space. But it's honestly not bad at all. Some things to note: cell phone service is just okay down there. I have AT&T and there were times my phone would show No Service but then I'd move an inch to my left and I'd have 1 or 2 bars. There is a phone in each cottage, but it's on a party line so you have to share. Also, you cannot use their phones to receive calls; outgoing only. Lastly, there is Wi-Fi but it's slow and spotty. It actually worked better when I went outside to sit on the deck - which would be fine in warmer weather, but it's not always warm. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Downtown Eureka is a 15-20 minute drive away so it's close enough yet far away for some real rest and relaxation.

Absolutely gorgeous! The cottage was clean and cozy. The jacuzzi tub had the best view and…read moreeverything worked like it should. The only thing I would have liked would be something on the bottom of the tub to give feet traction when getting in and out but there was a handle so that helped a lot. There was a huge window that overlooked the forest with a little birdfeeder that was very popular. Management was super responsive when we had questions. The location is about a 5 min drive from downtown (which was such a nice area). The week we stayed was very rainy so we didn't spend too much time on the porch but honestly everything was so cozy inside with huge views so we felt like it was perfect anyway. I would stay here again and again and again! (The photos on the website are near perfect of what to expect when you arrive too)

Plus we were only a short drive to downtown. We felt relaxed for our 2-day stay. We felt we got our money's worth. The staff does need to improve their communication, we were supposed to get an email beforehand, and did not. I called them several times. They finally responded, saying it was a server issue. I get that, but an immediate phone call back would have been appreciated.

Convenient location, cute and quaint, great breakfast, awesome staff!…read more I botched a reservation on AirBnB for another property (forgot to actually click through the last screen) and didn't realize it until the day we were supposed to arrive. We quickly tried to book on AirBnB and didn't find a place we liked. We ended up on Booking.com and found this little gem. The treehouses are very quaint. They are a nice cross between old school Victorian styling with modern amenities like deep tubs with jets, very comfortable beds, flat screen TVs and comfortable patio furniture. The unit we're in is small-ish, but a perfect size for us. Though the breakfast is up at the main lodge, it's a quick drive, or a longish uphill walk for those who like some exercise in the morning. The breakfast was very tasty. We walked into town in about 10-15 minutes. It's uphill a little bit, but it's a gradual grade. At night it was very quiet. We slept amazing. A special shout out to Pat who helped us get into the proper unit. The online booking was wrong, but she straightened us out immediately and got us into a unit more appropriate for us and our 2.5 year old (Unit #6). We did get to checkout one of the smaller units and though too small for our family, would be a great little retreat for a couple. It's pretty obvious these are the Treehouses when driving by, but it'd be nice if there was an easier to see sign out front. Especially when approaching from the north. Pat gave me great directions, so we found them pretty easily. The "second-chance-bridge" into the property wasn't open, but it was easy to turn around and take the bridge on Main St.

So quaint and a little more private if the whole bed and breakfast thing isn't your scene. Felt…read morelike a nature get away but right in the heart of Eureka Springs. 10/10 would recommend

Just 15 min outside of the historic rout of Eureka Springs, it is nestled on a mountain side with breathtaking views from your personal & very private patio. Comfortable king bed, quality TV, great towels (really though, we are buying some just like it!), 2 person jacuzzi tub (go very easy on adding bubbles), fridge/stove/microwave/toaster/coffee maker/grill + cups, dishes, flatware & pots and pans (helpful for saving $ on food. HARTS on 62 is a good place to get groceries). Bonny seems like the sweetest gal; cottage is stocked with relaxing CDs and great Christian literature. We suggest bringing some bath salts, candles, food and DVDs.
