Whatever we needed or asked for they were ready to accommodate us. At one point we needed a gas can and they provided it. We got there late (10 pm or so), when the front office was closed. We called the phone number posted on the front door and someone came within 10 minutes to let us into the house we rented. We rented the Sears house. The place comes with a washer and dryer. This is great for those on bikes, this means you can carry less clothes and wash your jeans and shirts along with your "unmentionables" every night. Laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, and towels are provided. I would definitely return and stay here. We bought a few beers and relaxed at night. The room has satellite television which is great to watch the news and local weather daily. The A/C worked and cooled the house great. We ate breakfast at the local gas station down by Ozark. It was a great diner with big breakfast plates. The place is called Hillbilly Hideout. If you are on your motorcycle, remember that the ride up to the Sears house is tricky. There's pavement for a short stretch but then there's loose gravel/rocks. This can be a little difficult to cruise or ride on with two wheels. Makes your front wheel dance left to right quite a bit.

We too found that the owners were gracious hosts and the breakfast was delicious. I want to add two thoughts. First, the neighborhood was very quiet with lots of well kept and interestingly landscaped old houses, and it was a safe pleasant walk to Crystal Bridges and downtown. Second, if you wanted to drive to Bentonville with a friend who didn't want to go to Crystal Bridges, your friend would be just fine hanging around Laughlin House watching movies on their nice TVs, reading, or sitting (at least in the Spring) in their garden while you visit the museum.

The drapes were hung so beautiful and the black chandelier is gorgeous. My favorite part is the bathroom. It has pink floral wallpaper and it's so quaint. The whole room was filled with such detail and intention. Michael is such a wonderful cook. There were homemade scones and cinnamon rolls served with eggs, bacon or sausage and they also had little parfaits. I had to have everything because it smells so delicious! Totally worth it to stretch my waistline. Joana mentioned they plan to open a bed and breakfast in France! With the wonderful couple hosting, you know I'll be there! Killer breakfast in the morning with plenty of food. Fruit was the best and so fresh and delicious. Pastries were equally as fresh. The presentation and vibe of the dining area was nicely done. Breakfast order was cooked as requested and yummy. I am sorry we were able to spend more time, not only in the area, but at The Victoria. It takes a special couple to own and manage a B and B and Michael and Joana have it mastered to a fine art! We thoroughly enjoyed both of our stays at Anchor Inn on the Lake. We stayed several nights both times and had great experiences. The owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious, unique, and different every day. There are paddle boats and kayaks to take out on the lake, a humongous deck to enjoy wonderful views of the lake and local wildlife, and spacious rooms to relax and stay in if desired. One of the rooms has a cool 2nd level with a jacuzzi tub that has a great 360 degree view. And the sheets....OH MY GOODNESS the sheets!! There are several layers of sheets and covers on top of an already comfortable bed, which makes for a night's sleep like no other. I always have trouble sleeping, but not there! The Inn is in a great location. It is out far enough to enjoy a peaceful and serene environment but close enough to the attractions of Branson and the surrounding areas. You just can't beat the great location. They also have a rewards program to earn free nights. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay around Branson.

The breakfast was delicious- we had French toast with nuts and strawberries. There is a large common deck to sit outside and a sun room. The Mediterranean room has its own private deck as well. There is direct lake access from the property and you can use their two kayaks or paddle boat. The sheets on the bed are absolutely amazing and the two person jetted tub is wonderful and well kept. It was a wonderful getaway and worth every penny for its level of relaxation and seclusion. There is also free wifi and great cell signal.
