Wonderful place for a relaxing weekend getaway! The hosts are delightful and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend adding on the candlelight dinner.

The lovely back deck, it has an outdoor shower too. Peaceful!

We just in the truck and for a quick unplanned road trip in September. Was recommended The Overlook by the lady that owns the Cliffhouse restaurant. We called at 8:30 pm hoping The Overlook would have room for us. We stayed in the cottage and were super impressed with the southern hospitality and accommodation. The Cottage was very nice and so were the owners. We woke up to Apple Pie pancakes and its worth a trip back just for them. Highly recommended!!!!

This is THE place to stay in the Jasper area! Our host was so friendly and helpful in recommending local hiking spots. So much care was taken to ensure our stay was over the top. We stayed in the Cottage which is separate from the Bed & Breakfast. It is beautifully decorated with a Louisiana flair. Our breakfast was delivered to us each morning, and our fridge was restocked with drinks each day. We will stay here every time we're in the area.

Delicious Community coffee (provided by the bed & breakfast) on the porch of the cottage

I have lived and traveled all over the US and outside the US. From the gorgeous grounds, super cozy and quaint cabin suites I was truly blown away. Bob and Jenny (of course their awesome son Ben) and fellow staff really hit the bullseye for a perfect stay. Hopefully the pictures do this unforgettable place justice! To make your stay even more personable, Bob brought our breakfast directly to our cabin every morning! Now that dedication;) the 24/7 snack shack was a MAJOR plus (no additional charge). On the website owner's Bob and Jenny Ofutt state " We want you to feel as if our home is your home." Well, yes you nailed it! Bravo! They also own/run the best BBQ in town! Old 76 Smokehouse. I will be writing a separate review on them good eats YUMMY!

This is no longer private owner ran. Rent Branson.com now handles this property…read more Good morning i've thought long and hard about what I would say to you all concerning our stay in Branson. Will you still live in Branson and when we left we would always come back and stay at red bed Cove. At that time it was a bed-and-breakfast and enjoyable clean place to stay. So I assumed even though a rental company had taken it over. It would be basically the same without the breakfast. Boy was I wrong! This has been absolutely the worst stay ever in Branson since 1975! I took a video upon arrival as I always do in case we needed to have something done. The place wasn't very clean upon arrival. Spiders were in the tub plus there were roaches. There is a mattress topper on the bed that is too small for the bed so the pillows sink into the space between the bed and the wall. The first evening we contacted rent Branson due the fire alarm battery going out. They came and changed those while we were out of the unit. We had to call them again in the evening due to two dogs in the next unit barking uncontrollably for over two hours because they were left in the unit by their self. We were told that they would contact the people. Maybe they did call them, didn't change anything second day again we had to contact rent. Branson due to the dog barking left unattended in the unit. We asked at that time if you couldn't move us to a different unit different place. We were told that they would check with management and see. The next day the carbon monoxide started beeping and it beeped continually we called again!!! we asked for management to contact us. That's a joke! Management does not contact anyone they could care less about the people that are renting from them. That next morning, while we were gone, they came in the apartment and took the carbon monoxide unit stating that the apartment didn't really need it. Even though there's a gas fireplace in it with a pilot light lit. Upon leaving the apartment they left my door unlocked! I was gone all day working came back to the apartment. The lights were on, and my door was unlocked. I told the office about that but as usual nothing. On our final night there a group of young men who rented a unit in our building saw the window on the lower floor and said there's a window and threw rocks at it. We were already in bed. I got up and went outside and confronted them, and I told them that I would be calling the police.

Every day we were served hot breakfast straight from the oven in the beautiful dining room. I think it can be truly said that if you start your day with a nice warm breakfast then everything seems right. This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and we loved it! Everyday there was something new and it was served to us right at our table. It made us feel pretty special. I cannot imagine how beautiful this place must look in winters covered with snow all around. We went in summer and everywhere we could see colorful flowers. The water in the lake was sparkling like diamond and it was so clear and peaceful and we used to spend hours looking at it.

Whatever we needed or asked for they were ready to accommodate us. At one point we needed a gas can and they provided it. We got there late (10 pm or so), when the front office was closed. We called the phone number posted on the front door and someone came within 10 minutes to let us into the house we rented. We rented the Sears house. The place comes with a washer and dryer. This is great for those on bikes, this means you can carry less clothes and wash your jeans and shirts along with your "unmentionables" every night. Laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, and towels are provided. I would definitely return and stay here. We bought a few beers and relaxed at night. The room has satellite television which is great to watch the news and local weather daily. The A/C worked and cooled the house great. We ate breakfast at the local gas station down by Ozark. It was a great diner with big breakfast plates. The place is called Hillbilly Hideout. If you are on your motorcycle, remember that the ride up to the Sears house is tricky. There's pavement for a short stretch but then there's loose gravel/rocks. This can be a little difficult to cruise or ride on with two wheels. Makes your front wheel dance left to right quite a bit.

You don't have to see anyone, and you just leave trash and dishes back on the patio. Within an hour of us eating breakfast, leaving the tray, and getting ready to leave the tray was already picked up! The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I usually have a hard time falling asleep in unfamiliar beds. It was also really peaceful compared to having to stay in a hotel where a lot of people are, including the day and night tours at the haunted hotels. (No hate to them.) My husband enjoyed using the living area to watch some tv before bed, but I didn't get a picture of it. Because we were so close to downtown, we were able to shop and head to the room to drop off items and go to the bathroom. Bathrooms are really difficult to get to downtown. I was worried about the price of the breakfast, but it was so worth it for a hot meal plus fruits! On the warm morning, we ate on the back patio. It was lovely. We had a cold morning so we ate in the living area. We met the manager (maybe owner) and he told us the history of the blue house being the mayor's. I would love if there was a short history page to read about the house. Also, we would be really insterested to see the original layout of the house. The bathtub has a skylight above it, so we though there could have been a fireplace there before. We would love to come again and possibly try a different room just to experience the different types.
