We had a great stay at the Lord Tenneyson room. If you're on the antisocial side, this is your place. Check in at 3 pm using information through a text and check out by 11 am. No need to see anyone. If you pay for the breakfast, they even leave it at the door on the outside table with covers. You don't have to see anyone, and you just leave trash and dishes back on the patio. Within an hour of us eating breakfast, leaving the tray, and getting ready to leave the tray was already picked up! The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I usually have a hard time falling asleep in unfamiliar beds. It was also really peaceful compared to having to stay in a hotel where a lot of people are, including the day and night tours at the haunted hotels. (No hate to them.) My husband enjoyed using the living area to watch some tv before bed, but I didn't get a picture of it. Because we were so close to downtown, we were able to shop and head to the room to drop off items and go to the bathroom. Bathrooms are really difficult to get to downtown. I was worried about the price of the breakfast, but it was so worth it for a hot meal plus fruits! On the warm morning, we ate on the back patio. It was lovely. We had a cold morning so we ate in the living area. We met the manager (maybe owner) and he told us the history of the blue house being the mayor's. I would love if there was a short history page to read about the house. Also, we would be really insterested to see the original layout of the house. The bathtub has a skylight above it, so we though there could have been a fireplace there before. We would love to come again and possibly try a different room just to experience the different types. read more

This was the first time my husband and I spent the night in Eureka Springs. I am so glad we picked the cliff cottages for our stay. We were in the Colette room. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, quiet and very clean. They leave you cookies and chocolate mints. We booked with the breakfast which they deliver to your room. It was delicious! Justin is very good at communicating with you before your arrival with instructions on checking in and parking. If you have any questions he replies right away. You are also just a very short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Great stay! read more

Mid-January wasn't quite the season to be in Eureka Springs, but I was in town and needed a quaint place to stay. I found the Cliff Cottage Inn on trip advisor and was warmly welcomed to stay in the Main house by Justin. Upon entering the Inn, Ashley, his wife, showed me up the stairs to "Colette's Room" in The Purple House. It was like stepping back in time to the Victorian Era. Pink and purple florals, lace and old fashioned lamps and frilly fans filled the room with all the sweetness of your favorite eccentric aunt's house. In the corner of the room was a large jacuzzi tub, adorned with plenty of towels and toiletries. There is a dresser set up with a small coffee maker, a jar of ground coffee, tea and hot cocoa packets. A full bowl of candy and plate with an assortment of cookies, were also there for the tempting. So many thoughtful touches!! I was going to explore a bit before settling in, so I asked for tips on where to go. I took the stairs straight down from the Inn's parking area to arrive on main street and walked the many winding streets of the historic center. After that, I came back to a chilled bottle of Black Oak Chardonnay in the mini fridge, which was a perfect accompaniment to a long soak in the spotless tub. I slept like a baby. The next morning, I went out onto the cute balcony to have my coffee, but it was too cold, so I came back inside to find breakfast being delivered. It was a gourmet egg bake with tomato and avocado on the side, fresh juice and a muffin. My stay at the Inn was a wonderful addition to adding to the mystic of the town! All it was missing was a ghost siting. Arrival notes: To get there, drive up South main street and make a turn at The Cat House Lounge to get onto Armstrong where the Inn is located. There's private off street parking next to the purple house on a steep hill, so use your parking break and watch out below as you are backing up when leaving. read more

The cabins are super cute and romantic! The surrounding scenery is gorgeous and provides so many opportunities for pictures. The bed was very comfortable and they provide complimentary drinks and snacks. The breakfast was very delicious and delivered to our door with care. We will definitely be back for another romantic stay. read more

THIS PLACE. O. M. G. We were already so excited to pull up to this cute little home with an actually quite spacious front porch and the cutest patio furniture and decor! BUT when we walked in to the front door we were blown away at the beautiful set up and decor inside!! It was Victorian style with a cozy, even homey feel to it! It was the perfect spot for a nice get away from boring ole life. We couldn't have asked for better hospitality and the breakfast that's brought to your door is so yummy!!! My husband and I are not usually breakfast people, but we enjoyed every breakfast option we were brought! We are definitely planning to enjoying another even longer stay here the next time we visit Eureka Springs!! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Cliff Cottage. We stayed in the Henry David Thoreau Suite and it could not have been more perfect. The room was very clean and tidy and the cookies were delicious. Everything about the room was to our liking. It was quite spacious and the little deck was a wonderful touch. In the morning breakfast was brought to our door which was so nice that they are adhering to health standards and showing awareness of covid by delivering our food to the room. We had a wonderful wonderful stay at this B&B! We booked two rooms (Collette and Robert Lewis Stevenson) and they were both spacious and charming. The owners were kind and helpful and we loved the contactless breakfast! We have zero complaints and only praise for this location and it is now our number one choice for staying in Eureka Springs. You can't beat the location and our only caution is that it is worth it to take the street path down to Spring Street as the city barely maintains the public stairs which can be treacherous. But that is not a reflection of the Inn at all, and there are plenty of other walking options. It was overall a wonderful experience! read more

Unfortunately the owners of this property are incredibly dishonest. My husband and I had a lovely experience while at the said B&B. However upon reviewing my CC statement I noticed an additional $200 charge. No email, no phone call, no text. Just an erroneous charge. I called and the owner Ashley accused my husband and myself of being violent people. We were accused of punching a hole in a wall and throwing a soap dispenser. I am shook at the accusations and asked why weren't we given an opportunity to discuss the issue and she stated that they do not reach out to violent people. I'm not sure how she knew what kind of people we are as we've never met. When we arrived there was a white envelope on a table with our key in it. Zero communication otherwise. We were fine, had a lovely relaxing time and even discussed visiting again. Replaced the key in the same white envelope and placed it back in the same table where I found it. She stated she was going to investigate by talking to the tenants before us and after us. So my questions would be this, if you e already deamed us violent and responsible, why talk to tenants. I'm at a loss for the dishonesty and so sad that what was supposed to be relaxing for my husband who suffers from a heart condition is now an ongoing issue of character attacking. I learned something that I hope whoever reads this takes away. Always take pictures. We didn't as we would never have dreamed of this debacle. read more

My wife and I stayed at Cliff Cottage Inn from May 13th, to 20th and we are happy to say that Cliff Cottage exceeded our expectations! The room was clean and beautifully decorated. The plate of cookies and wine in the refrigerator were a nice surprise after spending 11 hours on the road. The breakfasts were delicious and having access to Netflix, Hulu and other streaming platforms was a big plus for when you got back to the room at the end of the day. We would gladly stay with Cliff Cottage Inn again. Job well done!!! read more

Where to begin? Cliff Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed in the Henry David Thoreau Suite. The space was delightful and private as well as sparkling clean. The breakfasts were delicious. The parking was a little tight due to geography but do-able. Our hosts seem to have thought of everything--so many little niceties that made us feel special. As a recently retired former award winning innkeeper from Woodstock VT I have high standards, and I was impressed with Justin and Asheli. They have a wealth of hospitality and business experience from large businesses, and thus they believe they can achieve what few overstaffed corporate lodging businesses ever get close to...a personal and welcoming stay. They succeed. After just one year of ownership they are stamping their mark on the place and my bed and pillows were great, I slept well in the QUIET Zelda's suite. That basically is it isn't it...you want to feel safe, in a clean comfy bed and not to hear your neighbours. I had complimentary Amazon Prime on the TV, I had a kettle and being British I delight in making a good cuppa tea. There was a complimentary decent bottle of Ozzie white vino in the fridge, fresh things to nibble on and good wi-fi. The delivered to your door breakfast tray with a real fresh flower means you can feel comfortable munching your egg dish starkers if you desire....mind you it may put your dining companion off their food! However they also provide a dressing gown to cover up that aged flesh. The central location is perfect, parking is not that difficult and the owners have a sunny and charming disposition. Their doggies are also wonderful so do ask to be introduced. So go and stay in a real bit of the US.....the small town has a fascinating history. read more

Hubby and I stayed here last month to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary, and we were so very pleased! It is in the perfect location if you like to walk around downtown Eureka Springs, right across the street from some good restaurants and the trolley stop. This place is verrrrry Victorian. We stayed in the Sarah Bernhardt suite, which had a separate living room, an adorable pink bedroom, and a bathroom that opens up to a beautiful patio up against the cliffs. Everything was wonderfully appointed and cozy. Bed was extremely comfortable. Little snacks and bowls of candy were set out, plus a complimentary bottle of wine that we were able to choose when we booked the room. Breakfast is fabulous! While hubby and I don't stay at B&Bs for the breakfast, we do nibble a little on what we get - and the food is just delicious. Fresh ingredients, served hot hot hot, and delivered to our door like clockwork by about 9:30 each morning. The only negative is the fact you can hear your neighbors very well. The only thing separating our room from their room was a single locked door, so just be aware of the noise you're making cuz chances are, they can hear you too. TVs especially. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast and are concerned about the quality and cleanliness of where you're staying, seriously - the Cliff Cottage will make you so happy. It's beautiful! We will go back again someday and try another room, for sure. read more

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in the Emily Dickinson room. This B&B is in a great location- walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants but slightly off the main road so it's still quiet. The room itself is super cute with a nice living room to eat breakfast and relax with a view. The breakfast was very tasty both mornings we stayed and delivered timely around 9am. The room was full of little amenities for us- cookies upon arrival, a coffee bar, comfy robes and towels, plus refrigerator and microwave. I would definitely look to come back here and check out the other rooms! Highly recommend for anyone else looking for a cute B&B in Eureka Springs! read more

Just returned back to home from a 5 night stay at the Cliff Cottage B&B. We needed some downtime and made an excellent choice in picking this location. Upon arrival to our room, we discovered some yummy cookies and for later, a chilled bottle of wine. Our room was very cozy and quaintly decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable, the whirlpool tub was a hit and the location was within walking distance to restaurants & shopping. Our room came equipped with a full size coffee maker, custom blend coffee and REAL half and half in the refrigerator. We had our breakfast served each morning on the front porch and enjoyed the morning. The innkeeper is a wonderful hostess and an excellent chef. read more

We had a fantastic experience staying here for our anniversary! It is owned by a wonderful and fascinating couple who will go above and beyond to insure you have a pleasant stay. We booked last minute, only a couple of hours before our arrival and I asked if it was too late to order an anniversary cake and somehow they made it happen! The breakfast was very tasty. We enjoy staying in B&B's when we can and this one was very comfortable, clean, and it was in the absolute perfect location if you want to enjoy the downtown area! Sandra is also very knowledgeable about the local scene and loves to make suggestions on places to go and things to see. We stayed in the Collette room and I read another review about the thermostat is shared with another room, which it is, but the temperature was very comfortable for us our entire stay. read more

Upon arrival, no clear idea of where to go to check in. There were signs directing us to an office, but there is no office. A doorbell to the house, and an employee walking by, had to ask where to go or who to talk to.... she had to call the owner to come greet us.... Friendly, but seemed to be in a rush to take us to the room and get back to what she was doing. Dated and somewhat neglected. These are advertised as luxury cottages. 2 of the "suites" are in the pictured purple house... not a cottage at all. Small "themed" rooms with old hodge-podge decor and furniture. The photos online come across as somewhat charming, but essentially the "feel" of the room is garage sale finds. Booked through a 3rd party so wasn't sure which room we would get.... we called the owner (as there is no office) and asked if there was a different room.... as we were expecting a cottage. So, word for word said "you are welcome to leave!" Wow! Unprofessional! The bottle of wine in the mini fridge is a nice touch.... cookies on a plate under plastic wrap didn't at all feel luxurious.... no way to adjust the temperature in the room.... air conditioning blasted uncomfortably. Every time someone ran water in the house a loud high pitch noise ran through the pipes for about 10 seconds. "Balcony" is a joke.... a small cramped hug to the mossy wet rock wall...maybe only a benefit for a smoke....? Overlooks all the stashed junk below.... Breakfast was pretty good. Cannot choose your breakfast, so was a surprise. Did not look like the photos on the website however.....again deceiving photos. No salt/pepper on tray, but was a tasty breakfast. I hate to complain, but many details that should make this place great were missed. A little service and knowing what your guests need to feel comfortable goes a long way. Was kind of a bummer for us for the price we paid. read more

Stayed here for a few days and it was very nice. The breakfast was excellent and served right on time. We had been told when I made the reservations that they would not be serving breakfast one of the days we were there, but they came by and dropped off a nice basket of fresh fruit and muffins. A word of advise to anyone with an older, less mobile member of their group. Request the Zelda room, it has no steps to access the room and has a walk in shower instead of a tub. Also, the 14 steps to get to the town are steep and the handrail is not secure (this is not part of the inn and has no bearing on them at all, just informational only). The only issues we had were that the a/c in the Zelda room was loud when it kicked on, so my mom, who is a light sleeper, was constantly awakened. In the room I was in I could hear the conversation from the room next door. Nice visit, nice place. If I come back this way i would stay here again. read more

Awful 70-80's decor, nasty hot tub out back was not clean and very dusty, with door open to outdoor facility with a light on, we peeked in not sure if someone was in there or not, and it was so nasty and ratty inside which was attached to our room. Recommend they keep that door locked and bolted, not open with a light on. Scary inside there!! Thought we saw a dead snake, but it was actually black tape. We did let the owners know we weren't happy with the "Zelda" room and it's accommodations were definitely not Luxury, as well as dirty hot tub, but we forgot to mention the open door in the back where the hot tub was with the nasty room attached. We came here about 24 years ago when Sandra had it, and this property wasn't part of Cliff Cottage, when we were here before it was super cute with fresh flowers, not fake ones, and all Victorian decor. Really a bummer, and we would recommend they update that area, especially if you're going to list as Luxury on Trip Advisor!! Also, the tv is so low on a table you can't really watch while laying in bed, unless you choose to lay at the end of the bed, would recommend them putting the tv closer to the front area to sit in chairs and watch. (Not a biggie, just an FYI). We chose to leave and not stay here, and actually stayed at the Basin Park Hotel which luckily had one room left!! read more

The Cliff Cottage Inn is the reason so many people are reluctant to stay at a B&B. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend in one of our favorite small towns has turned into a complete nightmare that has unfortunately made me not want to return to the city at all. We typically stay at another B&B during our trips to ES, but we made an exception when that one closed down. Right away, when entering our room, we were both underwhelmed and couldn't understand what warranted the higher-than-average cost. The carpet was very worn, with a lot of stains on it. There was a rather large stain on the quilt, indicating it hadn't been washed. There were also dirty glasses for the coffee, and cracked tiles near the Jacuzzi. Another thing: if you stay in the Collette room, you will share temperature control with the suite across the hall. Probably not a big deal in the fall or spring, but when the temperature is hovering around 90 degrees, it would be nice not to have to deal with a temperature war with the people across the hall. They kept turning the A/C off so it was 81 in the room. Gross. We had luckily brought some red wine with us for the weekend, but the owner had rules posted all around the room, one being that red wine was not permitted in the suite. Fine, we said, we'll drink it on the porch. We enjoyed the rest of our weekend in ES despite the below-average accommodations, and went on our way home. That's when the drama started. Sandra (the owner) sent us a horribly rude and severely unprofessional email, indicating that she was charging our credit card for a ridiculous amount of money due to stained linens.The rudeness and complete vagueness on the stains made us feel very weird about the whole thing, so we emailed back asking for more details. She sent an even more rude email back saying that her housekeeping team spent nearly 4 hours cleaning the stains that covered two bathrobes. The only thing we could think was that my pink swimming suit left some mild dye stains on the bathrobe that could easily be washed out. But no, she says the stains are red, not pink. She said she investigated the room and discovered a red wine bottle, and she accused us of spilling wine all over the robes. She said she was appalled at us, and has never had such damage done to her room in 33 years. She also said the bit of sand left in the bathtub was "not appreciated." We did not realize we would be performing as our own housekeepers when paying nearly $500 for a 2-night stay. We are not really sure how to respond to, quite frankly, crazy accusations. We asked for proof to supplement the credit card charge she put through, and never heard back from her. We are going through our credit card to get the charge removed. She verbally harassed us through email, even after we explained to her that the linens were completely fine when we left, and we think we would have noticed if they were both 100% covered in a red stain. Sandra is obviously not cut out for working in hospitality, as demonstrated by her complete lack of decorum. She continues to write (rather unprofessionally) about the "terrible guests" she had stay with her this weekend on the inn's social media pages. We're still shocked at the utter tackiness and lack of customer service skills. read more
