Strawberry and Blueberry Tart

We had a wonderful weekend getaway here. The rooms are super clean and the food is excellent. The Innkeepers are great and attentive. Check in and out was super casual and the location is right downtown on a trolley stop, but far enough from the main street to still be a peaceful getaway... especially on the balcony or porch rockers. We were able to watch several deer eating in the backyard while sipping coffee in the mornings.

We so enjoyed our weekend getaway/babymoon. We stayed in the carriage house and appreciated the seclusion and comfortable accomodations. There was bottled water waiting for us in the mini fridge and homemade cookies left in the room the second day. Breakfast each morning was seriously some of the best we've ever had (and we are breakfast people). Susan went out of her way to accommodate some dietary restrictions which we really appreciated. This was our first time at a B&B and the bar has been set very high!

This was our first B&B experience. I was a little nervous. I don't really like older houses. I read all the reviews of B&Bs in Eureka. I looked at all the pictures online. I decided on 5 Ojo. I knew the minute we met Susan we were going to enjoy our stay. She was so friendly and yet so professional. She spent some time telling us about Eureka, our room, and then gave us our key and sent us on our way. The room was so clean. The paint was so fresh. The linens were so soft and clean. The whirlpool tub was spotless, and scrubbed daily. The breakfast was amazing. My wife commented one morning, "she should really open her own restaurant." We stayed in the Tree Top. It was huge and private. We had great weekend get away. Thanks Tom and Susan for a wonderful weekend. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed at Ojo over a weekend getaway and absolutely loved it! Our room was perfect and the bed was beyond comfortable. All the extras made the stay even more enjoyable with the wine glasses in our room and taking into consideration of our gluten free diet. We're so excited to come back very soon!

We arrived later than their normal check-in time and we were still greeted by the inn-keepers. They had set up a dog bed for our pup with water and food bowls. The property is beautiful. We stayed in the carriage house and it was very comfortable and romantic. Super soft and cozy robes awaited us and a huge jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was delicious!!

My husband & I stayed the night last night in the Carriage house & we had such a great time together. It was very private & cozy. We walked down I Ermilliios Italian restaurant for dinner & drinks and it was a different, but good dinner. We woke this morning, took a jog around the hilly streets & came back to a delicious breakfast! We absolutely loved staying here & would love to come back again! Thank you Susan & Tom!

We stayed in the Willow Cottage during the off-season and did the Marriage and Honeymoon package. Susan and Tom were absolutely wonderful, warm, and welcoming. I was slightly apprehensive to learn they had only just taken over from Richard and Jan, who had a major reputation in the area, but my concerns were put to rest very soon. The room was exactly like it was pictured, very clean and perfect. The former owner, Richard, actually performed our marriage ceremony! We stayed two nights, breakfast each morning was delicious! We will definitely be coming back!

At least four times a day there was a crowd of people outside our door hoping to see a ghost. Me in Jammie's feeding the baby and a bunch of folks gaping... and we were not in the room that is supposedly haunted! And Friday night there was a very loud band. We had a baby, and a cranky 5 year old. Thank goodness they stopped at 9:40. THE BEST thing about this place was the breakfast buffet and bartender who took pity on us.

We…read morewere needing to check in early to shower and get ready, and the front desk did make sure we were taken care of - albeit for a fee. Their communication was great. The hotel's front desk team and manager, Olivia, are a massive bright spot in an otherwise terrible hotel. The bellhop, Marcos, was also incredibly friendly and very helpful. Without those two people this place would be absolute trash. I can't in good conscience give them 1 star, even though they deserve it. The overall service is abysmal. The bar staff stood there talking for nearly 3 1/2 minutes right in front of me before acknowledging my presence. This was at 2pm and they weren't busy. They were actually having a conversation about their recent break and their plans for after work. As far as the room, it's old and things creak - which is likely part of its charm. But the beds suck and this is not part of the charm. The balcony door doesn't close correctly so it's hot as hell inside when it's hot outside. This is also because the AC unit can't keep up. But at least the plumbing doesn't work. First thing I did was blow my nose and threw a small bit of folded toilet paper in the toilet and flushed it. It didn't flush. Spoke with the hotel and they said it would be fixed. When we returned the toilet was still not working properly. Amazingly, these issues weren't even close to the worst part. The restaurant staff were absolute trash. I wish I remembered the barista's name from the coffee bar in the hotel's main dining room. I went down to get my wife and I a coffee as we were checking out. She barely acknowledges me. When she finally does she rudely tells me that she has to take care of the dining room guests first and that I must wait. Given my experience with other staff, I just told her not to worry and started to walk off. She called me back and said she could get to me after the order she was currently finishing. I'm guessing she thought I was headed to complain by the immediate change in her attitude. It then took her over 13 min to make two lattes. I came back to pay and she rudely instructed me to go to the front desk to break my $100 bill to pay. I came back to pay, and 2 10oz (approximate) coffees were almost $19. This hotel sucks, it's not haunted except by shitty service. And it is so overpriced. One balcony room was $335 + $35 for early check-in - shitty service included.
