BLT and Bees Knees was the drink

Told by a local to have dinner on the balcony, great advice. Our server, Sara was attentive and friendly. Our food and drinks were delicious. They had heaters in the ceiling so it stayed comfortable eating outdoors on a spring evening

Pros: servers at breakfast were friendly Cons: everything else. i saw reviews that this was the best place to stay so I booked it. If this is the best, we need to redefine that word. The employee at check in was dour and seemed annoyed we were there. When I questioned the almost $20 activity fee he was physically exasperated. Good thing I didn't ask about the $5+ gratuity fee just for checking in. The room was dark and dingy with holes in the walls, ratty, old carpeting and not a lot of space. If I paid $75 I'd think, okay I got what I paid for; it was 3x that amount. Outrageous for a room like that. I would not stay there again if it was free, it was that uncomfortable, and I would never recommend it to anyone. Find other accommodations for sure.

Great location, friendly staff. Can't beat this location and proximity to shops and restaurants. Somewhat renovated historic hotel, showing wear and tear needing attention. Parking situation is awkwardly blocks way however shuttle to and from lot is available. Biggest downer was the sole elevator and wait times.

Came here for my birthday this was my 1st time in Eureka Springs and it will definitely be the last will not recommend , on the positive Check in was easy nice guy helped us , but then Fire alarm goes off at 830am , non stop noise from the surrounding rooms, our room temp no matter what we did was HOT , the bed was super hard. And there is several japanese beetles in the room also saw another kind of bug it was go into an air vent. Lots of wear and tear from top to bottom in the room. The front office staff seemed unbothered that the fire alarm went off. If you are looking for friendly staff other than the bartender and the guy at the desk this place ain't it. They don't even greet you or smile. The restaurant- the positive. the bartender was good friendly I think her name was Jasmin The rest of the staff sat around giggling/cackling at or talking about other patrons. It was very LOUD due to the staff mostly. The food was basic my husband got sick from his hamburger. Maybe the locals like this place but we did not enjoy anything about our stay we did try. If you love bugs , worn out rooms , and over feeling that nothing is clean this is your place. If we hadn't prepaid we would have left, definitely a birthday to forget .

Friendly staff, nice and quick shuttle service. The hotel is old... there will be creaks, paint issues, blemishes... this is a part of the ambiance. It made the stay pretty cool to experience the history. Nice location right in the middle to walk to everything.

The Basin Park Hotel had been a mystery which challenged our curiosity for several years. We have stayed at other hotels, motels, and The Crescent to name a few. I prefer the Basin Park Hotel over the Crescent, I know they are related establishments... IN MY OPIONION... we have grown to like the Crescent yes, but the Basin wins this round. The BPH is nestled in the downtown shopping area where everything is mostly easy access by foot. There is the park too to people watch and rest your feet. The Balcony restaurant has been our favorite place to stop and grab a couple of quick bites with a drank or a soda! The Fall ambiance and decorations for Halloween set the mood during our stay. The whole town was relished in Halloween. I do appreciate the growing of ES and the welcoming folks. We would stay at the BPH -a lot to write. Due to the fact there is a neat spa deck, a place for the kiddos in the game room... or watch tv -same floor as the Balcony Restaurant. Just absolutely more things for families to do here rather than the CH.. they both are historical places with enchantment, but you have to decide what you are getting for your hard earns. The Crescent, is louder due to their weddings and parties... so I'll leave it at that. I'm not a Debbie downer, I just never stayed at the Basin until this week. It made up for all the years I've never got to stay. Worth it!! ***Tip: there is no parking lot to easily access the BPH. Once you're done establishing your stay time, check in. Park parallel to the adjacent yellow curb -15 max park to check in and load your luggage/belongings while you get your key at your room. While you place your things in your room, the desk will give you a parking placard for your dash board. The parking here is at 101 N. Main, but you need that parking placard first. You fill out the bottom of it, and detach and place in a locked mail box so they know you are parking there. There is a shuttle that will take you back to the hotel or anywhere downtown you need to go. This is a plus for the disabled and tired. Call the number on the placard if you need a ride from the parking lot. This lot I'm sure is for the BPH guests only, so don't get towed without the placard. You will not be able to park as you please at the hotel. Hope this helps. Have a great time. And don't forget to tip the shuttle drivers, bar keeps, and wait staff. They all do an excellent service maintaining their patience and pleasant composure.

    Very comfortable bed

My husband and I had a fantastic trip to Eureka staying at the basin Park hotel. The hotel holds the charm and history while having nice new amenities as well. The room was very clean and the staff was so friendly! It had a great shuttle service with very helpful personnel. We ate at the balcony restaurant very good with nice music a perfect ambience. I just cannot say enough good stuff about this hotel. And it was fantastic to be downtown within walking distance to all the fantastic shopping and restaurants.

Thank you Basin Park for such a wonderful experience! Not only is this an amazing hotel with so much history, but the staff went over the top to make us feel welcome, taken care of, and were all so kind and personable. You can tell they all take pride in their work and the relationships they build with their guests. This hotel has clean rooms, history, and there are so many things to do on the property. Not to mention, it's within walking distance of so many Eureka Springs "must-sees". Thank you to the shuttle service as well, you guys were wonderful! We will definitely be coming back, and grabbing some more huckleberry pie!

Beware of Tyler, the tyrant psychotic sociopath owner of The Palace Bath House!…read more I visited the Palace Hotel and Bath House expecting peace and relaxation. Instead, I walked out shaking, humiliated, and in tears -- an experience I will never forget for all the wrong reasons. The mineral bath area consists of small cubicles with no ceilings, something I was never told. I didn't hear or see anyone else, so I genuinely believed I was alone. While in the bath I was trying to meditate but then someone started playing very distracting music that interrupted my meditation and I asked politely for the music to be turned off when someone changed it to something distracting. I made normal, reasonable requests -- a towel, a time extension -- nothing out of the ordinary for a spa. When I went upstairs afterward, everything changed instantly. The owner, Tyler (appeared to be in her 40s -50s had shoulder length completely gray hair) approached me out of nowhere and told me she was "astonished by my behavior" and that I was "the rudest person" she had ever had as a customer. I was stunned. I had no idea what she was talking about. She accused me of "yelling" and "ruining the experience" for others -- even though I had spoken calmly and had no idea the entire facility shared open acoustics. I immediately apologized, over and over, because I felt horrible. I was crying, shaking, and trying to explain that I truly believed I was alone. Instead of listening, she doubled down. She told me I was "blacklisted" and needed to leave. Meanwhile, other patrons -- the very people she claimed I had disturbed -- came to comfort me. They told me I had done nothing wrong. They hugged me. They reassured me. They told me her reaction was completely out of proportion. I ended up having a panic attack from the shock and humiliation. My entire day was ruined. Days later, I am still shaken. When I tried to call to request a refund, I discovered my number had been blocked. No conversation. No explanation. No willingness to resolve anything. I have never in my life been treated the way I was treated at this business. I left feeling berated, belittled, and publicly humiliated for something I didn't even know I had done wrong. The lack of sound privacy, the aggressive confrontation, the refusal to communicate afterward -- all of it paints a very clear picture. Bottom-line, BEWARE of The Palace Hotel and Bath House and the tyrant psychotic sociopath who runs this establishment, TYLER! My experience was emotionally devastating, and no guest or human in general deserves to be treated this way. Consider yourself warned.

Of course, when I chose to visit Eureka Springs, I had to experience the last remaining original…read morebath houses in Eureka Springs. I got the works; the steam cabinet, a mineral bath, and a massage. I was so relaxed by the end of it I could barely walk or think straight. I even fell asleep during the massage! Only downside for a more modern customer is that the spa layout is completely original. There are no sound barrier walls or anything. The walls and doors aren't floor to ceiling, so one can hear toilets flushing, tubs draining, etc. But it's great for feeling transported back to the old holistic, homeopathic ways.
