Great place to stay in Eureka Springs. We'll stay here if/when we come back for sure. I really liked the ability to select a very specific room. We are happy to sacrifice space in exchange for specific amenities like a large jacuzzi and were very pleased with the Queen Suite that we ended up getting (with a nice view of the mountains/the Jesus statue). The room was comfortable and clean. If I had any complaints, the in-suite coffee was underwhelming and the TV was kind of oddly situated, but that's very much a minor issue. The rest of the hotel was interesting and fun to explore as well. If we'd had more time, we would have checked out the bar in the lobby. The hotel staff were outstanding. Andrew(?) and Co. made a point to learn our names and were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and on-point with the valet parking service. Just a really good experience and good vibes. read more

We booked the first-floor suite in the New Orleans Hotel for two nights. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and it was fine. Last night, there was a party with a live band (particularly terrible drummer BTW) right under our room until after midnight. It was so loud in our room that we couldn't watch a movie, talk to each other, or sleep. We could only put in earplugs and wait for it to be over. I could still hear all the lyrics through the earplugs, that's how loud it was. We are leaving a day early, even though we have already paid for tonight's room, because last night was so miserable. The hotel has effectively made this first floor room unusable on nights when the club right under it is open (W-Sa), and we were certainly not informed when we booked at their full price rate that this VERY LOUD party would be happening basically IN OUR ROOM UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT. Just ridiculous. I would not book the New Orleans Hotel first-floor suite again and would not recommend it to anyone else. As far as what the hotel should do to improve this problem: do not rent this suite out on nights when you are having loud parties right under it, and refund my money for this unusable hotel room. read more

Very friendly staff. I have to say I really didn't know what to expect. I was booking on a whim and a prayer. Google took us to the lower street where the parking is. I had to climb a lot of stairs up to the street level entrance. Once we figured that out and drove around to unload, things started looking up. The one staff member on duty was even so kind as to upgrade our rooms and valet the car back down to the parking lot. Remember this is an old hotel (1892) but they've done a lot to make it look inviting while keeping the charm. The rooms were large and spacious. Just a few notes: there are no rooms on the main floor so everyone has to climb stairs. (If that's problem for you, be aware). The rooms have window air conditioning units and there are ceiling fans in every room. Our air conditioner was a bit noisy. The lobby is nice to hang out in. The bar is cool too but we didn't exactly feel welcome. BUT the rest of the hotel staff was great!!!!!!!!! I would stay here again. I am reviewing the new ice cream bar inside the hotel. It is really nice that this has been added, apparently by the owner of the Nut House, and while the employee could not have been nicer...I found the menu underwhelming. All I could order were scoops, either in a cup or cone. No shakes, no malts, no sundaes. I was also truthfully hoping for something special, something homemade...but no, while Bluebell is tasty, it is not homemade. I like to avoid chemicals and preservatives...all commercially made ice creams contain those. This is a nice addition that stays open later than many shops but I'd like to see the menu expand. read more

We stayed here for my husband's birthday and it was amazing! The hotel was spacious and beautiful, located in the heart of downtown Eureka Springs. We stayed in the Presidential Suite and it was a great two day stay. The bed was luxurious and the in room jacuzzi was glorious. The room had the largest shower I had ever seen! The staff was wonderful and our room was right across from a lounge. Sadly, the lounge wasn't open, but the area was quiet and romantic. We would definitely stay here again next time we come to Eureka. read more

Here we go.... Our first trip to Eureka Spring and we paid the big price of $250 a night to stay close to the action. The positives are the hotel staff who were truly amazing. The negative, a rock hard bed and an arrogant owner who doesn't know if he's a rock star in a basement club or a hotel owner. The difference between any other motel and this place is hotel management would be furious with excessive noise disturbing guest. Here the owner was furious with guest asking for the music two floors down to be turned down. I'm A vet with ptsd. I take meds to sleep. No meds would help with the reverb and bass echoing up thru the thin walls and stairwell. My spouse even attempted to speak directly with the owner. His response "this is a live music venue." Little did we know it wasn't a hotel. This would be a one star review of not for the staff members at this location. I'd avoid at all cost especially at this price point. It's just not worth it. We overpaid and paid the price. Don't do the same. read more

We truly enjoyed our weekend in Eureka Springs and our stay at New Orleans Hotel. Only disappointing issue(s) we experienced were the Jacuzzi stopped working on our 2nd day. And, the stairs to climb, in order to get to the room, were a bit difficult to maneuver, especially for persons with mobility issues. I just stayed here for 4 nights over Easter weekend. This place is seriously amazing. The staff that work here are all great, especially Wally and Sue. The location is absolutely perfect because there are so many things to do in walking distance. Breakfast was a little disappointing, but probably because I never woke up early enough to get the fresh stuff. The rooms are so beautiful though. I love the Victorian New Orleans style of the furniture and wallpaper. Having a jacuzzi to come back to at the end of every day was a plus too. I booked this hotel by reading reviews online. I had never traveled to the area so wasn't sure where to stay. First I want to say I loved the location of this hotel. We were able to walk to all the stores and close by restaurants. The hotel is very old but was well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The stay comes with valet parking at no additional charge. I was very thankful for that because where parking is requires walking up steep stairs. Our room was on the first floor and had a nice view of Spring street and right by the shared balcony door. There are no elevators and just going up one set of stairs with luggage was enough for me. My only complaint on the room was the tv was very small and could only see about half of it while laying in bed. I do think the price of the hotel was pretty pricey especially during off season. We had a great time so I'd say it was worth it. read more

What a wonderful, historic hotel! It's centrally located in town near amazing shops and restaurants. I was very late checking in but Lee and Jay were so welcoming. There is no elevator but Lee was more than happy to take my bags to my first floor room. Wow. My room was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked very well. It had all of the modern amenities one would expect. Keith took my bags down in the morning and even retrieved my car for me. Parking is in the back down two flights of stairs so I gladly accepted. I have stayed here several times over the years. The location is conveniently located on the historic loop. The employees are very friendly. The hotel, like all the other buildings, is old & it definitely shows, but I've appreciated it's Victorian charm. However, be warned that the walls are very thin, cheap amenities, no curtains & no elevator. I could hear everyone & everything all throughout the night. People yelling in their rooms, talking in the common area & hearing noises I'd prefer to never hear at 2am (but hey, it's your room- just be aware that everyone is praying you're not into tantric sex). I did call the front desk on some morons who arrived around 11 pm & wouldn't shut the hell up outside my room. My BF asked "did a jet plane just land?" Wally was very attentive & handled the situation. But there are those things you can't control- like hearing music coming from outside (maybe from Chelsea's ?). This was during the dead season & the weekend after Mardi Gras, so the entire town was pretty chill. If it's a busy weekend, good luck or you may not care about the noise. Or the Christmas lights around the windows & the blinds don't shut all the way. But the noise... So basically, I paid $250 for a sleepless night seething & pondering how people can be so stupid, or worse, just being inconsiderate. I would highly suggest a B&B in Eureka instead. Or the Treehouses. Or sleeping in your car on a dark quiet street. Hearing people having sex is very cringy to my sensibilities. Yikes Krispies. read more

I usually stay at the Crescent on every trip to Eureka but we are trying to explore other hotels so New Orleans Hotel was our next stop. Besides being located in the heart of downtown, the hotel is beautiful. We stayed in a room on the second floor with a view of the eastern side of town, and the tip of the Crescent hotel was visible. The room was awesome, very clean and nicely decorated. The king bed was very big and comfortable. The bathroom seemed to be recently renovated and was amazing as well. The jacuzzi bath is very big and clean. The service at the front desk is some of the best we've had in town. They are quick to help with anything and honestly are fun to just have a conversation with. We will be staying here again. read more

I've been visiting Eureka my entire life and my wife and I come here about every 3 months as a getaway. We typically pick a different spot each time for variety so we have stayed in many places. This is our first time at the New Orleans and this might just be the place we stick with. Best location! Historical charm! Top notch service. Our room is huge. We returned from dinner last night to realize we had for forgotten ibuprofen. We inquired at the front desk and they actually had the oncoming staff stop and get us some on their way in to work! Super nice folks, very cool place. Maybe it's because the hotel isn't completely full right now but we haven't heard anything out in the halls or from other rooms. As mentioned above there are no elevators but the staircases are wide and spacious and the staff is happy to carry things for you. I hate waiting on elevators so this was fine for me! read more

The customer service here is outstanding! We had a problem with our Air BNB and came here last minute, we were all tired and had our 10 month old daughter. The PM male concierge was phenomenal and so helpful with everything carrying our luggage, helping me with a stroller. It was such a breath of fresh air after a very overwhelming day. I am originally from New Orleans and this place felt like home,especially for our first visit to historic Eureka Springs. Right in the historic district near several fine galleries and walking distance to the Spring Street Victorians. Beautiful lobby with tin ceiling and lots of wood everywhere, very accommodating and friendly staff, mostly Gay. Very helpful with restaurant recommendations and sites to see. We reserved one of the less expensive $99 smaller rooms for one night ( they usually have a two night minimun in summer and strict cancellation policy ) and it suited us just fine. It was smallish and only had a teeny bathroom with shower only but a/c was working good, queen bed ok and decorated with antiques, flat screen TV, free internet service. Reminded me of The Gunn House in Sonora, CA. but without a much desired pool on this 100* weekend. I am a full breakfast kinda fella but this continental buffet was very nice and filled me up just fine. Fresh and RIPE fruit served in a watermelon ( nice touch) fresh baked banana bread, yogurts, juice and coffe with CREAM! ( told you I was picky) No elevator but we were only on the second floor,so no problem, free and easy parking in back. While in town we checked out the much praised Basin Park and Crescent Hotels and these both looked tired and dingy. Only the Palace looked comparable to the New Orleans. read more

My boyfriend and I came up from Little Rock and stayed in a room on the second floor. Pros and cons are as follows: Pros: free parking in the back gave us quick access to the hotel and because of its location, we were central to everything and we were able to stay on foot and see all the downtown sights. The staff was friendly; free drinks in the hotel room's minifridge, free wifi . The room itself was clean and the bed was a king size. Comfy to sleep in. One particular amenity i enjoyed was the jacuzzi. I really enjoyed the tub. Cons: the biggest con about the New Orleans was the sheer amount of noise. We were in a room facing Spring St and bc we were right next door to the bar Chelseas, we could hear people coming in and out slaming doors, being loud above us and below us. The hotel door was paper thin and we could actually see light from the hallway shining through cracks of the center part of the door. All in all, an alright stay. Best part definitely being its price and location. Its convenient to everything. read more

This is a beautifully done vintage hotel. We loved our stay here. We stayed in a grand king jacuzzi suite on the 3rd floor. It doesn't have an elevator so if you have a lot of luggage beware. But it is perfectly located in the historic downtown so that it makes it easier to just walk out of your hotel and walk to the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again! read more

I stayed at this hotel on Labor Day weekend and the experience was one to remember. When I called to make reservations I spoke to Cajun who explained all my options and prices and was very patient and knowledgeable. Cajun met us outside the hotel by the door upon our arrival, valet the car and checked us in before walking us to our room. I was very impressed by her personable interaction with us and her hospitality. The room was great. Kind of noisy but not when we were going to sleep. The jacuzzi was amazing. The fridge had complimentary sodas. Movie rentals were free as well. All in all I'm very glad we stayed at this hotel. The staff at this historic hotel is very friendly and polite. The late 1800's character of the lobby and rooms is a unique departure from today's norm. Our room was clean and filled with antiques. We stayed in a queen suite that had an extra sitting room where my wife and I enjoyed visiting and having morning coffee. Great walking access to all of downtown area. We plan to visit again. 3.5 stars because the only real complaint was our bed was a bit uncomfortable for us. $159.00 (including tax) for a one night stay. read more

Two friends and I stayed here for Spring Diversity Weekend. I was the first to arrive and parked my car in the loading zone. As I started towards the door it was opened by a friendly staff person. I unloaded my luggage and went into the beautiful Lobby. The staff person parked my car and I was done with driving for the entire weekend. The hotel is very conveniently located so everything is within walking distance. My room was on the second floor, my friends were just above me on the third. I lugged my luggage up the two flights and wish I had taken the offer of having them taken up for me. Those stairs are a killer when you're an over-packer like me. I stayed in a lower priced room which has a queen bed, flat-screened TV, an armoire for the hanging clothes (although no hangers), a dresser for the other things and a night stand with drawers. The bathroom is tiny as is the shower but the water presser is good and the water gets hot quickly. The bed is comfortable and I slept like a baby each night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and well dressed with antique furniture and a large table in the hall of the second floor. There is a balcony on the street side for all guests to use where it is fun to watch the stores opening for the day in the cool of the morning. They offer a continental breakfast in the lobby which is not you typical donut laden fare. They had fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, coffee and pastries made by locals. The coffee was actually good! They offer free DVDs to use in your room but why would anyone waste time in their room when there is so much Eureka has to offer? I very much enjoyed my stay here but my legs are paying for walking up and down those stairs as many times as I did. I'm lucky I was on the second floor since my friends had it worse on the third floor. Don't miss the Voulez-vous Lounge just below the hotel, the drinks are awesome and the ambiance is fab. read more

Great place we will go back again! This was our first stay at this hotel last time in Eureka Springs we stayed at the Crescent This hotel this was much better. The room was furnish with beautiful antique furniture the room was big and had a great bathroom with a huge jetted tub! There were no issues with noise at all. They were very gay friendly as most of the town. The Voulez Vous Lounge in the basement is very cool. I'm not sure if they are owned by the hotel or not. The only issue we had there was we were charged for a $10 drink that got spilled after one sip and the waitress took forever to get back with a rag to help clean it up after we got it mostly done on our own with little napkins. Most bars they would make you a new drink and not charge. When I asked the waitress why she charged for it her response was "what you want me to pay for it?" so yes I took it out of her tip for her lousy handling of the problem. read more
