Best place to stay in Eureka. Each room has its own private outside entrance. Parking really close to room. Small rooms to larger ones with Jacuzzis. All decorated different. We love the feel and personal attention given. The highlight is the morning Breakfast! Served in a dinning room attached, sharply at 9. Every room is assigned a separate table. Greeted with fresh coffee, juice and water. Will be Served unique meals, quiche, French toast, muffins, bacon, sausage. Breads, fruits, or a Hashbrown casserole. Everything served is so good. As you eat you will enjoy visiting or watching the squirrels and birds. During summer Hummingbirds visit the feeders hung on the patio. Afternoons you will find treats and drinks to enjoy on the patio while relaxing at the outdoor area. Book ahead for a charming stay. We have been coming here for years. Owners are great! read more

We recently stayed 5 nights at Heartstone Inn in Eureka Springs. The location was accessible, the layout of the inn was thoughtful, and our room was spacious and nicely appointed; we rested well and felt welcome. The highlight of the Heartstone, however, are Rick's breakfasts. He is truly a gourmet chef and each morning we anxiously awaited to see what he had envisioned for our huge, delicious breakfast. We didn't even need to snack before dinner. Each breakfast consisted of a main entree with fruit, sausage or bacon and coffee and juice. A couple of examples; Creme Brulee french toast with cornbread casserole and Apple Bacon Cheddar Bake. They conveniently offer a cookbook of the 25+ years of recipes they have accumulated. Rick and Cheri were warm, helpful hosts as well. The inn no longer provides housekeeping services during your stay, which is probably not unusual for many inns in the current climate of not being able to get enough good employees. They left a note that we could leave trash in a bag on the porch, as well as a bag with towels if we wanted fresh towels. The trash bags provided were tiny and did not hold trash well. We noticed there was still an envelope in the room in which to leave a tip for housekeeping, which seemed out of place. We highly recommend this inn to travelers. read more

Our stay here was amazing. Very welcoming and comfortable. The historic Victorian home we stayed in was beautiful, the grounds and room were both very well clean and kept up. The breakfasts were delicious, everything was fresh cooked and home baked. The owners had a great attention to personal detail. Location is a short walk/ drive into the downtown main street. Truly An Outstanding B&B We were three couples and stayed here at this lovely B&B four wonderful nights. The owners Rick & Cheri made us feel comfortable and at home. At check in which was easy Cheri guided us through the facility showing us where everything was located and how to use. Extremely relaxing as the facility is just far enough away from the traffic and historical downtown. We saw deer grazing off the back landing. Rooms are modern clean and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious and definitely unexpectedly different. The free wifi worked well. We enjoyed setting in the outside gazebo having a glass of wine taking in the wild life. Plenty of parking is available. Most definitely recommend when in town stay here. read more

This definitly made our top 3 'best Bed & Breakfast in the USA'. Rick & Cherie are very nice hosts that make you really feel welcome and are always there with great tips. The rooms and premises are perfectly maintained. They have little hummingbirds, squirels and woodpeckers that you can watch from one of the many balcony's or veranda's. Breakfast is promptly at 9 am and you really do not want to miss that. We bought the cooking book. Doesn't that say enough? The recipes are refined and cooked to perfection. Not sure if we'll visit Eureka Springs again, but if we do, we'll definitly be back. Only little thing is that the airconditioning can be a little noisy in the Veranda Room. But perhaps that also because we're not familiair to sleeping in rooms with an airconditioning that we noticed. read more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Heartstone! Rick and Cheri were very attentive and made a delicious breakfast both days! The coffee too was amazing! Our room was clean, comfortable, stocked well and beautiful! The jacuzzi was very relaxing after a long day walking. The patio in the back was peaceful. We saw a variety of animals, from deer to groundhogs and squirrels. It was very nature oriented. There's daily baked goods that were yummy as well! We feel more connected after this trip. With the kids heading to their "others" for Thanksgiving, Mom and I decided to spend Thanksgiving in Eureka Springs. This was our first trip, and we can't imagine a better bed and breakfast experience than Heartstone Inn. Five stars limits our accolades. First, there's Rick and Cheri. From reservations to checkout they take care of you. You know how you meet people and like them immediately. That's Rick and Cheri. The Volery Suite was perfect. My wife is all about bathrooms when we travel. The Jacuzzi tub and spaciousness of the bathroom put an immediate smile on my girl's face. The king size bed, sitting area and sink counter provide everything you need. There's a French door that opens onto the deck. Due to the chilly weather and rain, we didn't get to enjoy the outside accoutrements of Heartstone. However, I'm already imaging a nice cocktail on the deck on a more pleasant Arkansas evening. Rick and Cheri feed their avian guests along with their human guests. In the two days we were there, I logged sightings of Black-Capped Chickadees, Goldfinches, Cardinals, Flickers, Nuthatches, Downey Woodpeckers and Juncos, not to mention several plump gray squirrels. And then there are the breakfasts. Cheri explained that she's the baker and Rick is the cook. Both are accomplished at their craft. Breakfasts alternate between sweet and savory. Actually they alternate between "Oh my God!" and "To die for!" We are B&B folks, and we've never had a better breakfast . . . ever! Cheri's nightly treats complement Rick's breakfasts perfectly. We can unequivocally recommend Heartstone Inn. We can't wait to get back. read more

Visited Feb. 21 and 22, hosts were very pleasant and helpful. Loved our room -- warm on a chilly night. Heater worked well and there was a nice comforter on the king size bed. Easy chairs in a "sitting room area" with a gas fire place for ambience and a bit of heat. Also, nice flat screen TV and complementary movies. Adequate bathroom enhanced with a hydro-therapy tub, which was a treat! Breakfasts were the best! We enjoyed this B&B a great deal and have already booked another stay in June, when temps will definitely be more conducive to exploring the town. read more

Stayed there this past weekend in the Victorian Cottage. Just a quaint house with lots of history. Love Cheri and Rick because they made us feel like we were part of their family. It takes a certain kind of person to be successful at running a B&B with all the interruptions and demands of those who stay but Rick and Cheri seem to enjoy everything about it and everyone who visits. This is a true home away from home. The Inn is more than a bed and breakfast. It's a complete center to base all of your experiences in Eureka Springs. The atmosphere and accommodations are superb and extremely well kept. I don't think of any situation or problem Rick or Cheri couldn't find a solution for. Great people and the property shows it. Check in was quick and informative. Plus an ever changing treat schedule every day. These were delicious. An extensive dvd library should you want to catch a movie. Adult beverages were available too. Each room has a Coffee maker so you can have a cup before breakfast. Now the big deal! Breakfast here is an event that cannot be missed. And since it starts promptly at 9:00am no worries about sleeping in. Simply delicious. And no two days are the same. To write about is to give away the menu and experience. This is gourmet cuisine at its best, but with an elegance only found in the Ozarks. My firm recommendation is flat out.... spend a weekend here and you will come back. Here is what to expect with your stay at Heartstone Inn... Excellent hospitality, superb breakfast, and a great location with lots of birds and wildlife to enjoy. I have always wanted to stay at a Bed and Breakfast and this was an excellent experience. I loved our country cottage there, but I think any of the rooms would have been great as well. Most rooms have their own deck/entrance and breakfast was served in a room that was like walking into a small restaurant yet arranged so that if you wanted to visit, you could or just keep to yourself.
