I called Mike from A.O.Plumbing and he not only quoted the lowest price remotely, but informed me that we were likely eligible for a FREE replacement thru Akron's Galvanized Required Replacement (GRR) program. He even called them for me and confirmed our eligibility! He chose to help me get it done for free, rather than book the job for himself....who does that!!! I received a…read moreproposal for the following work: "Excavate 2nd septic tank outlet, Camera & Troubleshoot issue, Quote further work if necessary" They were here for about 20 minutes, only to quickly say, "We are doing nothing, you need to contact the county, that'll be $1000" 20 minutes for $1000 bucks with no troubleshooting and no solutions. What a scam. There was no compromise from them on the price, and literally no recommendations or solutions. The "technician" was also rude. At one point he laughed at my plunge pool, and suggested off the record I can try dumping lye in the system. After researching this, i found this could potentially destroy your system (I figure this is why it was stated "off the record") This should not have cost $1000. I thought Buckeye Plumbing was an honest company, but I was wrong and paid the price for it. On top of everything, it took nearly 2 weeks of follow up calls to them to give me an appointment. That should have been a sign this company does not care. I feel we were severely taken advantage of, and the transaction was of zero value. I will never use them again, and if you use them, I hope you don't get swindled like I was.

Apparently being rude and condescending is part of the job requirement to work at this place…read more When I initially called and while the phone was ringing I was having a conversation with my husband about his brother - as soon as the phone was answered I was rudely met with a "EXCUSE me?" from the girl answering the phone. No "Frecka Plumbing" or any greeting. That should have been my first red flag but I let it go. I am not sure how she heard any of my conversation since I was having it while the phone was ringing. So I get an appt and this guy comes out and says that he's been to the house before (great I thought ...he knows the place, we just bought it last month). Go over some issues and we go upstairs and he points out a leak that I didn't even know existed. I told him I was glad he found it since we were replacing the vanity anyway. I asked him if he could add that to his list. He looks at me and says "what are you talking about?". Gee I don't know, you're a plumber, you pointed out a leak, maybe thats what I mean? I think a 3rd grader could figure it out. After another confused conversation he looks at my daughter's boyfriend and says "Am I retarded?" (referring to himself). I don't know why he said that, other than perhaps he thought I wanted him to replace the vanity (which I didn't and never asked him to). Besides, how did he know maybe perhaps I do have a genuinely retarded relative? That was a very unprofessional and extremely rude thing to say! I don't expect, and never would expect a plumber to do remolding work. Even if he thought that is what I meant, why not clarify before the condescending attitude?? At this point I almost told him to get his tools and get off my property. He tells me he will have to get an estimator out to give me a quote on the work. it's been one week and crickets from Frecka No worries - I wouldn't hire Frecka to fix a leak in my pool floatie let alone my house. I called Kline and Kavali (nice people working there, imagine that). Had the problem taken care of two days after they came out. Stay away from Frecka unless you enjoy being talked down to. If you do, then this is the company for you.
