I wish I lived in Lafayette as this place would be my new neighborhood bar. The owner , David greeted us immediately and was extremely friendly to us in spite of the fact that we were wearing Iowa Hawkeye shirts in Purdue's hometown. Casual atmosphere and music wasn't blaring which made it easy to talk. We ordered the highly recommended wings and a supreme pizza. The wings were ginormous and very tasty. The pizza crust was perfect. I would have preferred more cheese but we can add that onto the left overs cuz the serving size was plentiful. read more

Visited in-person at about 6pm on a Sunday night. The seats and outdoor area were properly in accordance with social distancing. The staff were wearing their masks appropriately. During lockdown, we had ordered carry-out pizza. We got it in person this time and it was just as good. The right amount of sausage and pepperoni and very cheesy. We ordered Yuengling Flight in bottles to go with it. Overall, very good experience again. read more

A-OK townie bar near the lovely LaQuinta we stayed at for the Avett Bros. show last weekend. Everything about this bar is average. They will not screw up a bourbon and coke. They will screw up a Vegas shot. Above average were the lively patrons that enjoyed the rap music we played for them. read more

The bartender and customers in this place make it very clear that they do not like outsiders, which makes their location next to 3 good sized hotels a little perplexing. The bartender goes out of her way to not serve you and the cabal of locals grumbles loudly about how they hate out of towners while the bartender stands there agreeing with them. I have been here multiple times to give them the benefit of the doubt since everyone can have a bad day, but it has been a constant theme. Aside from the unpleasant demeanor of the staff and regulars it has an average atmosphere and slightly below average food. If you never go there you aren't missing anything. If you are a traveler do yourself and them a favor and ease on down the road to the Wing Stop. People are friendly. Beer is BIG and cold. Wings are pretty good too. It pains me to write a review like this about a locally owned establishment. Normally if I were to have a problem at a locaI joint I would not say anything. Avoid! Had heard this place had great wings. We just wanted to grab a bite. Not drinkers. Went in and the girl running the bar and waitressing came over with s smile and ask what we were drinking. We said we wanted to see the menu. She replied. "Oh you want food. Ok". That was it. She came back with menus and dropped them on table without even saying a word. My family and I (all adults) were looking for a place to have some drinks and food to nibble on and we came across Whiskey Bob's. We were a bit reluctant to try Whiskey Bob's because a couple of the reviews indicated that they catered to locals and did not treat out-of-towners well. This was not the case, we were treated very well. Our waitress was very friendly and she was very attentive. Whiskey Bob's has a good selection of spirits, they had a bourbon that I like that I rarely see at a bar. We ordered buffalo wings, pretzels sticks and Bob's salad, which was plenty of food and tasted great. Bob's salad is quite interesting. If we come back into town we will hit Whiskey Bob's again. read more

Very fun atmosphere. Stopped by here while on a biz trip and it feels like your friendly hometown bar. I came back the next night and same thing. Get the boneless wings. They make their own homemade sauce each day. The beer price might be a little more than average. read more

This place is just down the street from our house and we really enjoy it. They serve their mixed drinks in ball jars and they have a ton of pool tables. It can get pretty loud in there, but they do have several booths & tables for people that are chatting instead. They have a pretty limited food menu, but the choices are good. We ordered the pretzel bread sticks with our drinks and I liked them okay. Nothing stood out as special, but it's nice to order a snack or two when you're drinking and catching up with friends. The prices weren't bad and they have daily specials that sometimes include free pool! When the weather is nice there is also outdoor seating. They are definitely worth checking out. read more

Wow this place is amazing. At 1:45am I call them to check what time last call was. It went to voicemail and I got over it. 30 seconds later I get a call from Jaime apologizing for not answering the phone. She tells me that the place is open and they were still serving. I made the trek and was pleasantly surprised. Was given awesome service by Stacy. Great vibe and music. By far the best bar in Lafayette. read more

I've had some fun nights here. I will say it was my go to on the easy side until big leagues opened. They have different vibes - both great.

Interesting place. A few regulars and lots of out of town folks, like myself. Some really drunk and noisy and some not. Pizza is decent, wings are good. Great place to watch a game and get some dinner and beers close to a bunch of hotels. read more
