I visited the Applebees at the Tippecanoe Mall Halloween night. I was so impressed with the service and quality of the food that I just had to give them Kudos. I had the Bourbon Street Steak and salad, and the steak was cooked perfectly and sizzling hot. I score it a perfect 10. read more

Applebee's is not my favorite. We go back from time to time, because it's very conveniently located. On the last visit, service, even in a near-empty restaurant, was very slow. Worse, our server apparently completely forgot to submit one of the orders (for one of the children in our party). Even after waiting for a very long time, and having to hunt for the server, it took another very long while to finally get the missing meal, long after everybody else at the table had finished theirs. Not impressed. read more

Service was good, the waitresses were very nice. I asked for breaded chicken on my Alfredo instead of grilled chicken and they gave me this. They could've at least cut it. read more

I've come to this location since I was a kid in the 90s and I just enjoy it. Service was great for an afternoon lunch rush. We got our food in a normal amount of time. My friend got these chicken wonton tacos for an app and they were really good. Then I got Buffalo wings and a side of fries. I really love their Buffalo sauce and my friend got a chicken salad of sorts. Our waitress was super fast and kept checking on us. All in all it's Applebees you either like the food or don't but everytime one good always a good experience and I've enjoyed what I've eaten. read more

We went to enjoy my birthday meal here. I ordered my steak medium rare, however when it came out it was well done. So I sent it back politely and asked for one that was medium rare.. Not too long after that the general manager Devin brought my steak out set it in front of me and said cut into it. I did and this is what I got a very rare steak.. it's definitely not medium rare. I told him I cannot eat this. He said well I'm not remaking you another one I made this myself and I tempted to 124 °.. As anyone can see this is not a medium rare steak. Was very rude and dismissive and refused to let me talk to anybody else there. However I did end up speaking to the kitchen manager which is below Devin. Every employee that I spoke to in that restaurant said that that was definitely not medium rare. And not any of them would eat it either. I do have a call coming in from district manager I believe. But to be so dismissive and argue with the customer that this is cooked properly is ridiculous. I have been a long time patron of this particular Applebee's. Getting the same thing every single time. Never been an issue until today read more

Terrible service never sat us but choose to sit a family of 4 saying they were friends it was only two of us they came in 10 min after us

My girlfriend and I went on 1/30/25 walked in wasn't very busy we got seated and the hostess seemed not very pleased to have more customers we were seated given menus and she walked away we finally decided what we wanted and sat there for 30-45 minutes and no one came and even asked us what we wanted for drinks had multiple servers walk past us paying us no mind and looked back and saw 4-5 servers just chatting it up at the register when we walked out we noticed a couple being served that were not there when we walked in I have never seen anything like this in my whole life will never go back to that location!!! read more

Was brought the wrong food 3 times, no refills, food took 40 minutes, and our cocktail took 20 minutes. I've worked in the restaurant industry so I can understand a backed up kitchen and bar. However, a table that was sat across from us in a different servers section placed their order at the same time and left around the time we got our food. Mind you, we ordered wings and a plate of fries, nothing fancy. Especially during 50¢ wing special. read more

The food in the restaurant is OK. Do not do grab and go. The food will be cooked horribly. The food was cold, and I didn't have all of my order. The lady who brought it out to the car basically threw my food at me. read more

TW I've always thought people were unduly harsh to applebees. I had a few bites of their food 20 minutes ago and I'm still fighting a gag reflex. Everything tasted the same: like yesterday's deep-fried dishwater. The only exception was the grilled chicken with spinach alfredo. That tasted like wilted slime. read more

Worst experience there ever today. We sat for about 10 minutes until someone took our drink order. We ordered an appetizer but our food came out before the appetizer. We had to ask for silverware and napkins. We asked twice for our dipping sauces before she brought them out. We asked twice for refills on our drinks but they never came. Instead she asked us if we were ready for the check. I asked again for refills but she never came back. We paid and left. It will be a long time if we ever decide to come back. read more

I adore this place! Monthly drink specials, half priced appetizers in the afternoon and after 9 pm firmly anchors Applebees as the best budget date night spot in the country! Food, ambiance and service are always top notch here as well. I've never had a bad experience at any Applebees, in all my 200 visits to this fun little spot. read more

Went to Applebees for a spur of the moment dinner. Not too busy, so sat at bar top. Was greeted and served by bartender, Cheyenne. She was polite and suggested food options. Ordered the wonton taco appetizer, quesadilla chicken salad, and the Parmesan shrimp and steak. Steak was cooked beautifully. Salad was great. And tacos were seriously the bomb! Applebees has stepped up their game since our last visit! Thank you! read more

Have always enjoyed a quick trip to Applebee's in the Mall. The lack of Coors Light on draft is disconcerting, but Yuengling on draft makes up for it. Out Yuengling drafts arrived and it looks as if we have taken some sips out of the glasses. We have not. I assume this is how the head/foam settled, but it would be nice to get a full glass. I ordered the endless Riblets and Fries basket with Honey BBQ sauce. It came out in a decent amount of time and the fries were hot, however, the ribs lacked sauce. It appeared that they barely put any sauce on them at all. I mentioned it to the server and she brought me a cup of sauce. When I got my refill of Riblets, the second set wasn't much better than the first. Normally, Applebee's has been better than this and I enjoy going there. I hope they make some changes. There is too much competition in Lafayette that is better than Applebee's that they need to excel at what they do. read more

Stopped by for first day on vacation and some Christmas shopping. Sat in bar. Girl behind bar nice but food would not come out and wrong each time for people around me. I waited patiently and my chicken sandwich finally arrived...luckily cut it in half before starting to eat...RAW in the middle. Couple next to me saw all the issues as well then mine and said we are paying for drinks and leaving. BTW, they made it up to me by not charging me for it (but full price for my drink lol) and that was it. NEVER again. If you want to get sick, go ahead. read more

Friday night we dined at Applebee's. We waited nearly an hour for our food. Some of what we got was barely warm, although everything tasted really very good. Our waitress was polite enough but very very busy and distracted. We had to ask her three times to get straws for our drinks. When it was time to pay, we tried to use the electronic device on the table. Somehow we were being charged for playing a game that we had never played. When we told the waitress she said there was nothing they could do about it; it was something we must have touched by mistake and she could not take it off of our bill. We kept asking why we got charged for something we didn't do and she said "well you must have pushed a button wrong" and she could not take it off the bill. We tried to convince her that we shouldn't have to pay for something we didn't do, but she would not even discuss taking it off the bill. So we paid the bill including the $4.75 charge for the game we never touched, but we won't be back. read more

Keep in mind, we asked if everything would take very long and they said no. The drink tasted like it had no alcohol in it and took over 20 minutes to be delivered to the table. The artichoke dip tasted worse than a frozen one you buy at the store. Mac and cheese took over an hour. Server was rude and literally hiding from us because she forgot to bring our food out and it got cold so it needed to be remade. They comped $10, but still wasn't worth it. read more

If you can imagine a 300 lb man going down a water slide. This is how fast this Applebees went downhill. I got the 4 cheese honey pepper chicken. The sauce was so runny and and it made the Mac super nasty. The service was also pretty bad. We went at a semi busy time, so I did take that into account. Hopefully it gets better, but I won't be going back to that one for a while. read more

Tried this spot with the family, mom had the Oriental chicken salad, dad the Butcher's Meat & potatoes, and I the Bone in Pork Chop with Honey Apple Chutney. Our waitress Ivy took great care of us for about half way thru the meal. Was going well but then she disappeared. We sat around for 10 minutes staring at our empty plates til a manager showed up asking if we'd like our bill - yes please! A bit odd. Besides that, mom and dad found their stuff tasty and flavor filled however dad's beef wasn't the most tender or easy to chew for his old teeth. I enjoyed the Honey Apple chutney and savored the two sides and meat but needed about twice the amount of chutney for the dish. The dish itself needed to double in size for $15.00! Pork is cheap and compared to the other food options in the mall's food court I felt cheated - should've gotten the salmon at Town & Gown across the river at the $15 price point. Overall definitely not an all star cast and lacking attention to detail and service. The Applesbees mobile app needs to sync gift cards like Starbucks and Steak n Shake do. Also I am seeing way to much added sodium in restaurant foods. That needs to stop. Basically these chains are making very unhealthy food at higher and higher prices. No thanks Applebees. read more

I understand that finding decent workers are hard to find during this pandemic, but the past few times my wife and I have picked this location to eat it has had terrible service. The waitress seem to hate their jobs, no emotion, on drugs etc. we've waited 20-30 minutes each time while tables are clearly open and ready for the next guest. I would not recommend this location at all. read more

Applebees in the Tippecanoe mall. Should've known better than to come here, considering the last time I visit, several in the group I was with (not including myself) had food poisoning the next day. That time our server had made it VERY clear that he hated his job. This time our server was much more professional, no problem from her. Fiancé and kids ordered quesadillas, they were good. I had a Blue Long Island, that was delicious. For dinner I ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp. By 6am, 12 hours later, I was vomitting and worse. Needless to say I will never in my life be back, to probably any Applebee's unfortunately. read more

It's Applebee's! I've had some good food here! The environment is a history of lafayette sports during the week it's a hot spot for housewives having girls night and cheap margaritas, peak suburbia! On the weekend it's full of housewives drinking cheap margaritas for girls night with the gals! In all seriousness Applebee's is pretty good and a lot better than the single dads club that is Chilis Quesoburger FTW read more

As Applebee's go, this one is pretty good. It's located inside the mall, next to the main entrance, and can be entered from inside or outside the mall. Mostly busy all the time, but I have never had to wait for a table here. The 2013 lunch menu is pretty good. I had the California Shrimp Salad that has big chunks of avocado, black olives and generous shrimp. It's on a choose-two lunch menu, and I would make a double order next time. It's really that good. Service is always good and fast here. Not one of my go-to dining choices, but it's nice for a change of pace. read more

First time at Applebee's and it was absolutely horrible. We waited 45 minutes for wings and ribs. Then we told the busser/host that our food cold and she went to get our server KYLE. He came back took our plates and it took almost 30 minutes to get our remake. My friends ribs were cold the first time and still came back cold the second time. It's as if they were microwaved because the plate was hot but the food was cold af. We did not speak to anyone from management. Absolutely disappointed. Will never return to this location again and pretty much the company too. PS: took forever to get refills read more

I know they can be hit or miss with a lot of people, but I have personally only had 1 so-so experience ever since Applebee's has been in town. I like my steak rare. That's how it ALWAYS comes out to me. Staff almost always bends over backwards to give me great service. If service is slow, it's either because of training new people, or it's so busy it's an hour wait to get in. Twice it's been a server that should have picked a different industry to work in. Family friendly, handicap accessible and reasonable prices for the food served. read more

Meh - there's nothing really bad about this place, but there's nothing really stands out as great either. The food is pretty decent, but service really varies. Always love coming here! It's great place to grab a quick bite to eat that isn't typical food court food. I haven't been able to do a sit down here seeing as that I usually run in here for their to-go menu and head out. Their service is fast, efficient and always friendly! I'm staring to become a regular and they usually have my order ready to go when I drop by. They're consistent adding new menu items and I love seeing the new additions including healthy and fit items. It's a great get together place for a Purdue game or of any occasion. read more

The food was pretty good, up to par with any other Applebee's I've been too. But what stood out to me was the waitress Mariesa. She asked me if I needed anything at least 5 times before I was finally ready for my check. But the one thing I did need, was her number. Fattening food from a chain restaurant. If you don't really care what you're ingesting then go for it. Their food is just mediocre. I think the only things I really like here are the Asian chicken salad (which, like another reviewer mentioned, is as full of calories as all their other food) and the wonton tacos. I will say the pork wonton tacos are actually really, really good. Service here is average. I mean, it's Applebee's. read more

Always liked coming here over the years when I visit my family in the area - but however I was COMPLETELY blown away by the service and workers etiquette that I saw today. Stacey behind the bar was super "nice" to her customers to get a tip, but to co-workers she was SO COMPLETELY RUDE! I was pretty much shocked at the way she talked to other workers. Then - a table in the bar turned into a bunch of co-workers eating Subway and other random restaurant food, while complaining about their work environment and their co-workers and how much they hate working here. Stacey behind the bar was VISIBLY upset that a customer wanted her cocktail "blended" and not on the "rocks" which was preciously ordered. So she had to do extra work and was honestly mad about it. The only person who was actually nice to me with being genuine was the manager - but she let the co-workers (that seemed off of the clock and still standing around out in public view) to be eating other companies food and let them talk about other co-workers. Not trying to say that it was a HORRIBLE experience - but it was very unprofessional and tacky. I know it's Applebee's and I shouldn't be expecting decent quality like other places - however ---- hearing about other incompetent workers and how much each other didn't like one another - was more than what I wanted for my bar experience. Save it for Jerry Springer - or the break room - PLEASE.... read more
