We went to a couple of places, one even where you can watch on an app that was closer to us, but when we went to visit the place, we did not like the "vibe" of the place. When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off. Look no further for a great place for "doggy day care", Pam and her team will take VERY GOOD care of them, like they were one of their own!!!

I have been taking my two small dogs to Pet Paradise, Georgetown, for two years. I have always had…read morea truly positive experience both for daycare and boarding. From the moment I walked in, I felt the love the staff had for the dogs. Every time I go there, they greet my pups warmly, and any anxiety I may have about leaving them immediately disappears. The team has always been patient and reassuring with me, even when I've called during the day with little worries. I speak directly to someone who knows and truly cares about my dogs -- and that means everything. They listen carefully and they genuinely understand how much we all love our pets. I have read through many of the mixed reviews, and cannot comment on them specifically other than to say that in the many times I have exited and entered that building, I have never personally had a bad experience nor have I witnessed a bad experience. I have seen dozens upon dozens of entrances and exits of dogs in daycare and boarding and I always curiously watch the staff's interactions with the dogs and their owners. I have never been disappointed in seeing consistent, kindness, courtesy and care given in each situation. I feel badly people have had these negative experiences because they simply must have been the exception not the rule as I have never even remotely seen these types of situations. In the two years that I have left my two small dogs at Pet Paradise, Georgetown, they have never gotten sick nor been returned dirty. I am only a customer and have no " skin in this game." I just hate seeing hard working, caring professionals disparaged while some of these anecdotes are inaccurately making it seem like that's the way they conduct their business. I am a big fan of the daycare system. I appreciate that the dogs are given assessments before joining group-play and that trained staff are supervising them. The staff assists you on the best placement of day care and/ or boarding that would work for your dog. The cameras give me extra peace of mind. When I board them, my two pups stay together, upon my request, in a suite and always come home clean, happy, and perfectly tired -- always from a healthy balance of play and rest. The facility is clean and beautifully maintained. It smells fresh, is remarkable aesthetically, and it is impeccably kept on the inside and the outside. Addy (General Manager), Amanda (Assistant Manager), and the entire team -- Ariel, Nellie, Rose, and many other wonderful staff members whom I love so much ( too many to list) -- truly are the heart of this place. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for the animals , as well as their sensitivity and gentleness to me, has never gone unnoticed. I feel completely confident and happy leaving my dogs at Pet Paradise, and that peace of mind is priceless.

TL;DR - Groomer sliced my dog's dewclaw nearly all the way off with the clippers, and management…read moredidn't even apologize. To add insult to literal injury the grooming itself was completely awful. To start, we've taken our dogs to PP for several years now, and have normally had zero problems, but this incident is extremely egregious and needs to be addressed. We dropped our dogs off with the resort, Cara (our chiweenie) just for a bath and Fizzy (our schnauzipoo) for a full grooming. Fizzy's fur gets little mats in it all the time because the hair is so fine, and we brought that to the groomer's attention when we dropped her off. We also asked for a traditional schnauzer cut, just a bit shortened because it's so hot in Texas right now. Cut to a couple hours later and I got a call from the front desk, saying that Fizzy had been given a "slight cut" near her dewclaw and that the on- site very was seeing to her. No big deal, right? Then later the actual vet calls, and tells us that it was more serious than we were originally told, and that Fizzy has been given multiple staples to reattach the dewclaw, but that they had considered removing it fully because of the damage. I come to pick them up, and the vet walks me through the treatment, and brings out Fizzy. She was a completely altered dog, her lovely facial whiskers completely shaved down to the skin, ears trimmed to the very edge and a single-length simple shave overall. I was then directed to checkout, where the front desk girl had the audacity to ask if I wanted to tip the groomer, which was shockingly inappropriate. I was charged full price for the bath and grooming and sent on my way; never once being approached by management to offer even an apology for mangling my dog, much less offer any form of restitution. The attached pictures are what she normally looks like (pink bandanna) vs. the condition Fizzy was given back to us this time. Needless to say, our confidence in and reputation of Pet Paradise has been shattered, and we will be considering other options for grooming and day care in the future, unless significant changes are made. I strongly encourage other patrons to choose a different groomer than Maribel to avoid injury to their pets.

I hate to have to write this, but I truly feel like it should be known so nobody ever experiences…read morewhat I went through. It's been almost a year since the incident, but I'll remember it, unfortunately, for a long time. I encountered every cat mom's nightmare when a large rattlesnake showed up on our Catio not two feet from my cat. In doing everything I could to save both of us, I kept my girl from getting close or fleeing into the road. I was scratched up and she was too scared for me to look her over properly. I had gone to Zoot at the time and had being going there for nearly eight years. I believed I knew the clinic well and the staff, and trusted they would care for my baby. I was in a tense situation myself, unsure how badly I'd been scratched in the chaos. There was blood drying in my hair and my hand was shaking while I drove to the facility. I had called ahead of time and let them know the situation and how I did not know if my cat had been bitten. When I arrived, I was met at the cat and told to go somewhere else. I panicked and pleaded with them. I would happily take her to an ER if I knew she had been struck and nothing could be done here- but I just needed peace of mind and all my credits were there so if there was a large fee than we would have the means to do whatever she needed. I pleaded, shaking still from the adrenaline and was finally allowed inside. The vets and techs were all busy, but I was placed in a room to wait with Nebula. Thankfully two techs I knew were working that day. However, neither were informed of my situation, only that an owner was here that needed to go to the ER instead. I was told the vet would not see me, and would not enter the room. I want to say there was incredible courage and empathy on the past of my friends Jacob and Jenny. Jacob ended up taking time out to help me look over my cat (who had no puncture marks). He also let me borrow a thermometer to check and make sure. I had medical training before, so I knew what to look for. I wish the story ended there, but after I lost sight of Jacob, I was allowed to clean up in the sink blood pouring down my face. It all caught up with me and I started crying. Everyone around me gave me so much space I felt like I didn't even know where I was. The vet who has refused to even enter the room where I was, came by when I was washing my wounds. I am not sure her conversation but she was laughing right next to me while I was crying. Never said a word to me. My friend, a fantastic vet tech there, Jenny, finally came over after not realizing what had happened or been allowed to check into rooms not assigned to her. I don't really think I was assigned at all to be honest. She personally tended to my wounds and made sure I had medicine. I took off the rest of the day, and while many signs happened before, this was the one that really let me know I shouldn't be at a facility like this. I felt like a stranger, and a burden, to a place I knew very well. it was traumatic to feel no empathy around me except for my friends and some of my co workers. After I spoke with our hospital manager, who was very gracious and kind about the situation- I only received an apology from her. I unfortunately saw no change the remainder of the weeks I was there. I will always trust Jenny and Jacob, as well as my regular vet that wasn't there that day- Dr Davis. All have intense desire to see pets happy and healthy and they have compassion for the humans who care for them I don't believe this was any one person's fault. It's more a collection of the twisted ideals in the company that would place secondary comfort over primary care of both animals and people. An underlining rush and speed to finish every room, instead of seeing the pet and person before you..... I hope nobody has to go through what I went through that day.

We do have to travel frequently and Action Pack has become a 2nd home. We no longer live in Liberty Hill (we actually live 2 hours away, and do the drive and plan all flights around ensuring we can bring our boys here). One of our very first stays our older dane had a health emergency, we didn't even see the issue prior to dropping off and within a couple of hours we got a call from one of the staff and they managed that visit end to end for us. They got him to an emergency vet, stayed with him for awhile, then once he was hydrated and well did the driving to pick him up, and then adjusted his care for extra attention once onsite. Our two boys are vastly different in age and play needs, and pretty joined at the hip - they modify the play for our older boy, even when they have a yard full of dogs, they can tell when he's reached his limit and just needs quiet. They are so attentive to know that our younger boy was struggling without the other and got them back together again. Here we are 2 1/2 years later of using them soley and when we arrive our boys eagerly hop out of the vehicle and run in and then anxiously await to go back to play. We have used other places and have watched our dogs panic and put the brakes on and refuse to go through the door. They have absolutely never hesitated here. So grateful for the care and attention they place on our fur family!

I am extremely disappointed with our experience…read more Our dog is a very anxious dog, but she has never shown aggression toward people or other animals in our care. After boarding her this time (we've been customers there for years), we were told she displayed behaviors such as growling and was no longer welcome to return. What I find most concerning is that this facility also promotes dog training services, yet there was no effort to discuss what may have triggered her behavior, offer recommendations, suggest training options, or work with us on a plan for future success. Instead, we were simply told not to bring her back. I fully understand that any boarding facility has the right to make decisions based on safety concerns. However, anxious and fearful behaviors are not uncommon in boarding environments, and I expected a business that offers training services to have a more knowledgeable and supportive approach. As pet owners, we trust boarding facilities to care for our dogs during what can already be a stressful experience. Rather than feeling supported, we left feeling judged and dismissed. If your dog struggles with anxiety or fear in unfamiliar situations, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about how those behaviors are assessed and managed before booking. We'll gladly be taking our business elsewhere and won't be back with our current dog or any future dogs.

Home Away From Home is the gold standard in pet boarding…read more A few years ago we adopted a Rottweiler mix who had not been socialized well (with dogs or humans) and had developed moderate-to-severe anxiety after being attacked by a couple of strays--her previous owners had been treating her with prescribed Paxil. We quickly began introducing her to our friends and friends' dogs, but it wasn't long before we needed to travel without her, and we were a bit anxious ourselves about finding a sitter or boarder who could cope with her issues and not exacerbate them. Wendy and her family at Home Away From Home proved to be quite adept at evaluating our dog's personality and finding other dogs with whom she got along well to share a pen--especially a pair of Labradoodles, of all things--and giving her plenty of loving attention. The first couple of times we dropped her off there, she cowered, clung to us, and had to be coaxed into Wendy's hands; but by the third or fourth visit (over a span of months), though she still seemed anxious at first, she began wagging her tail and acting happily excited the moment our backs were turned--the brat! A dozen or so stays later, our dog now recognizes the route to Home Away From Home as soon as we turn off of I-35, and is jumping up and down with excitement by the time we arrive there. Our Rottie is no longer a scared, anxious dog. She'll never be as extroverted as the stereotypical Labrador, but she's grown to be happy, playful, and even outgoing. Her stays at Home Away From Home have played a significant role in that transformation, and we'll gladly continue boarding her there for as long as we live anywhere near Georgetown.
