I have been taking my two small dogs to Pet Paradise, Georgetown, for two years. I have always had a truly positive experience both for daycare and boarding. From the moment I walked in, I felt the love the staff had for the dogs. Every time I go there, they greet my pups warmly, and any anxiety I may have about leaving them immediately disappears. The team has always been patient and reassuring with me, even when I've called during the day with little worries. I speak directly to someone who knows and truly cares about my dogs -- and that means everything. They listen carefully and they genuinely understand how much we all love our pets. I have read through many of the mixed reviews, and cannot comment on them specifically other than to say that in the many times I have exited and entered that building, I have never personally had a bad experience nor have I witnessed a bad experience. I have seen dozens upon dozens of entrances and exits of dogs in daycare and boarding and I always curiously watch the staff's interactions with the dogs and their owners. I have never been disappointed in seeing consistent, kindness, courtesy and care given in each situation. I feel badly people have had these negative experiences because they simply must have been the exception not the rule as I have never even remotely seen these types of situations. In the two years that I have left my two small dogs at Pet Paradise, Georgetown, they have never gotten sick nor been returned dirty. I am only a customer and have no " skin in this game." I just hate seeing hard working, caring professionals disparaged while some of these anecdotes are inaccurately making it seem like that's the way they conduct their business. I am a big fan of the daycare system. I appreciate that the dogs are given assessments before joining group-play and that trained staff are supervising them. The staff assists you on the best placement of day care and/ or boarding that would work for your dog. The cameras give me extra peace of mind. When I board them, my two pups stay together, upon my request, in a suite and always come home clean, happy, and perfectly tired -- always from a healthy balance of play and rest. The facility is clean and beautifully maintained. It smells fresh, is remarkable aesthetically, and it is impeccably kept on the inside and the outside. Addy (General Manager), Amanda (Assistant Manager), and the entire team -- Ariel, Nellie, Rose, and many other wonderful staff members whom I love so much ( too many to list) -- truly are the heart of this place. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for the animals , as well as their sensitivity and gentleness to me, has never gone unnoticed. TL;DR - Groomer sliced my dog's dewclaw nearly all the way off with the clippers, and management didn't even apologize. To add insult to literal injury the grooming itself was completely awful. To start, we've taken our dogs to PP for several years now, and have normally had zero problems, but this incident is extremely egregious and needs to be addressed. We dropped our dogs off with the resort, Cara (our chiweenie) just for a bath and Fizzy (our schnauzipoo) for a full grooming. Fizzy's fur gets little mats in it all the time because the hair is so fine, and we brought that to the groomer's attention when we dropped her off. We also asked for a traditional schnauzer cut, just a bit shortened because it's so hot in Texas right now. Cut to a couple hours later and I got a call from the front desk, saying that Fizzy had been given a "slight cut" near her dewclaw and that the on- site very was seeing to her. No big deal, right? Then later the actual vet calls, and tells us that it was more serious than we were originally told, and that Fizzy has been given multiple staples to reattach the dewclaw, but that they had considered removing it fully because of the damage. I come to pick them up, and the vet walks me through the treatment, and brings out Fizzy. She was a completely altered dog, her lovely facial whiskers completely shaved down to the skin, ears trimmed to the very edge and a single-length simple shave overall. I was then directed to checkout, where the front desk girl had the audacity to ask if I wanted to tip the groomer, which was shockingly inappropriate. I was charged full price for the bath and grooming and sent on my way; never once being approached by management to offer even an apology for mangling my dog, much less offer any form of restitution. The attached pictures are what she normally looks like (pink bandanna) vs. the condition Fizzy was given back to us this time. Needless to say, our confidence in and reputation of Pet Paradise has been shattered, and we will be considering other options for grooming and day care in the future, unless significant changes are made. Last year, I boarded our dog here in the VIP suite for over a week. Three days before our return she got very sick. Eventually she was diagnosed with Clostridium Perfringens - a bacteria that causes extreme diarrhea in dogs and can be transferred to humans. I was thankful for the professionalism and kindness of the onsite veterinary clinic explaining everything and keeping me up to date, however... Her stay was $1k+, which was budgeted for, the cost of treatment was an additional $1k+, not budgeted for. :( A high-level disinfectant should be used to combat this. Not sure this facility does this. We didn't get the prescribed medication when we picked up our dog. We actually didn't know we were supposed to have it until the vet called to check in. So, we had to go back to get it the next day. On a positive note, I did like the cameras and on-site vet. In fact, the veterinary staff and the vet were great at explaining everything. Their understanding that our dog was very important to us was not lost on them. I'm now using a different facility. Can wholeheartedly recommend NewDay Veterinary Care. I spoke to the manager at this location, Addison, who wasn't willing to give me a refund of $132 when my grand dog came home with feces, stuck in her feet and a subsequent infection in her paws. And she contracted kennel cough about 4 days AFTER her stay. I was told that corporate sent out an email alerting people that they had a confirmed case of kennel cough the week prior to our arrival. I suggested they should've told us when we arrived to leave our dog with them about the recent kennel cough case. Instead of sending out an email (that we never received) to all boarded pet parents that stayed with them after the confirmed case. So I called the corporate office regarding the never received email and no one answered so you have to leave a message. That was five days ago and no one has called me back.. I don't think this company cares about the pets that they take care of. Read the reviews and you will see multiple complaints about dogs who go in healthy and come out sick. read more

The reviews almost discouraged us from having our puppy here for 4 day boarding but the employees were attentive when I called and would even call me before he went outside for play time. Although our puppy returned with a slight cough, I can't really put it on them as they do require vaccinations for their stays and probably do the best they can to prevent spreadable things like kennel cough. Short staffed to begin with, my dog spent 80% of the day locked in kennel. When I called to ask why, the said they didn't have enough staff.

1. Everyone I talked to called her "he". 2. Even though I asked, I received no feedback on how her overnight stay was (first time ever going here). 3. When I looked at the cameras I never saw her in a play yard so I really have no idea what she was doing or where she was throughout the day. 4. She came home smelling terribly of urine. Don't do it! Don't be fooled by the facility. They are understaffed. They took over 200 last weekend for the two step concert here in Georgetown. My dog was quarantined for said. After being forced to have their vet, check him out administering medication. After picking him up, I found bruising on his bottom and top of tail as well as scabs on his side. I cannot be sure what happened since they said they reviewed the cameras and there's nothing they can see all I can say. He went in a healthy dog with no bruising and came out on two medications and bruising on his body. I was forced to pay an additional $170 on top of $600. I paid for boarding. He was not allowed to play with the other dogs only being taken out twice a day for what they claim was 15 minutes at a time. That is not enough time outside of a crate. I took him to my vet to be seen and he confirmed what I suspected. He was not sick. He did not need the medication that their vet administered and the bruising on his bottom and top of tail cannot be explained. When I asked about it, Miss Amanda, the manager claims it could be from sitting in his kennel for so much of the day. Absolutely crazy thinking because the dog would lay down before he would sit so much, he would bruise his tail also does not explain why there's bruising on the top of his tail. read more

I was looking for Pet Paradise's phone number the other day on the web and saw the low reviews and was completely stunned. So stunned that I feel obliged to put up my own review. We have been going to Pet Paradise in Georgetown for around 18 months. Our dog Max, a catahoula/pit mix, visits weekly for doggy day care. We also are enrolled in their vet care program so when Max is there, they pull him out for exams, shots, etc. Just this week we started using their grooming program & it was fantastic as well. Every time I drop Max off, we are greeted with the friendliest faces and a loving warm welcome. In the 18 months we have been going there we have seen some turn over in the front staff just like any business does. I must say that right now they have the best team that we have seen the whole time. Our Max was a shelter dog who is big, loud & can sometimes be a little much but they love him almost as much as we do. At Pet Paradise they love all breeds no matter where they came from, or how much they cost. I can't say enough good things about PP. I have had a positive experience at Pet Paradise. I bring my pup 3 days a week for Doggie Day Care. I get there at 6:30 am because I have early work hours. Someone is always there ready to receive us. My dog is sweet but very high energy. I have never been made to feel like he is a problem and we have never had issues. When I bring him in the mornings he is more than eager to get inside. He has buddies he can't wait to see and I feel like he is well cared for while he is at Pet Paradise. I suspect it depends, simply on the group that you use as to whether or not you believe you've received appropriate customer service. But what I have found after using them twice is that they have been consistently, nasty, arrogant, and lacking the basic skills, of an adult It is if they are all a dozen cupcakes, just circulating from the front desk out of the refrigerator and generally put out, but they have to do anything other than take your dog and put them in the kennel. I do not believe that my dogs are treated properly, because if they treat the parents of the dog with disrespect how do they treat your animals. I don't want to answer that question, I simply would not recommend them, nor would I use them, and after having spoken to both the regional manager and their corporate offices, I can tell you that if you're happy grade, but as soon as you're not happy, they will simply tell you to kiss their ass. There are plenty of other places to board your dogs in the Georgetown area, and I wouldn't placed him there if they gave me six nights out of seven for free. Pet Paradise in Georgetown is a fairly new facility and is state of the art. We took them up on their offer during their open house in October of this year (yes during Covid-and they handled it beautifully). Nani-our English cream retriever, is seven years old now and so a full day of doggy Day care what we call a play day is just too much for her. We are so happy that they offer half days which is just perfect for her. She has enjoyed it tremendously. She used to go to play days closer to where we live with our other golden who passed away in June. Nanny has been missing him and we decided to give this place a shot. We couldn't be more happy. She is so happy when she arrives. It's not a big dramatic check in process they simply walk over to her in their beautiful lobby, unhook her from our leash and then walk her, very willingly (no leash attached) into the play area. I find this approach unique and very appealing. It tells me that Nani is more than willing to stay. Every associate we have interacted with has been very professional and personable, even when using the chat feature! We plan to continue taking nani's 2 to 3 times a month or more. I'm SO grateful to have found Pet Paradise! Today was my fur babies first time with day care here and I LOVE that I was able to watch her play all day long while working. To see how attentive and loving the staff was just melted my heart! There was always a staff member there with them playing and engaging 100%- not just sitting on their phones like I've experienced at other boarding facilities. The cost is extremely reasonable considering how upscale and luxurious it is! I feel comforted knowing my baby is always surround by "friends" and caretakers who treat her like their own- cuddles and kisses included! It is also a great peace of mind knowing there is a vet on site and all areas have cameras and are monitored. Non- Covid, I travel 75% of the time for work and always miss my baby, calling her previous boarding place daily to check in on her and never really knowing if they were being truthful or not. Now finding Pet Paradise, I can rest assure she is living her best life while i'm gone, AND I get to check in on her with the live web cams whenever I'm missing her :) They also have a rewards system where you earn points to spend on stays/grooming there, along with wellness plans for Vet visits. Went out of town for a few days around thanksgiving and needed a location to drop off my fur baby. Did a Yelp search and found Pet Paradise! I set up an appointment to complete a tour. From the moment I arrived onsite I loved everything about the location. I immediately completed all the required paperwork and booked an appointment for boarding my dog. Dropping off and picking up was easy. I did supply my own food and toys but they do have options where you can pay for food daily. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I setup my dog's evaluation day online and immediately emailed in the paperwork. No one called me until the day before his appointment, and stated they did not have the paperwork. I called back 5 minutes later, no one answered, and left a message with the date and time I emailed the paperwork, and that his name shows as Mickey with ABR, but I changed his name to George. No one called to say it wasn't acceptable. I showed up at 6:40 and they said they couldn't accept it because the rabies wasn't on there, when it clearly stated RV and a registration number after it. They finally accepted paperwork from New Hope, who also deals with Austin Boxer Rescue and the other vet he went to South Congress Vet Clinic. They then accepted that, took him in, and called me one hour later to say his distemper wasn't on there. It is clearly on there on 5/13 and 5/26, and I was at these appointments. I sent paperwork I had from petestablished that was setup by Austin boxer rescue. They wont even look at that now that I have called back multiple times. Their incompetence and inability to answer phone calls after I am CALLING THEM BACK is unheard of. I have NEVER had a company so blatantly rude and unwilling to help. Its like they are not accepting it out of principle now because they don't want to admit they are wrong. So now my dog is sitting in a kennel all day because they cannot read paperwork. I had South Congress Vet Clinic FAX in their paperwork and call. They are saying they didn't get the fax and that he doesn't have Bordetella on file but its on there. I was there when they did it. These people have me at my wits end, and have absolutely no compassion, empathy, or customer service skills in any way shape or form. And after ALL THIS, they are telling me "maybe this isn't the best place for George" when all the issues were caused by their inability to check records that were sent DAYS in advance to inform of any issues. Update: When the Vet Clinic called them to show them where all the info was on the paperwork they already had, they tried to say Bordetella wasn't on there. They then said "Well I guess he just won't get to play with any other puppies, hahahaha and LAUGHED." I don't know how much more unprofessional you get than that. read more

We left our two dogs at Pet Paradise Georgetown for a 4-night stay, reserving separate kennels because our older dog can get irritable and take it out on the younger one. Near the end of the stay, we received a phone call saying one of the dogs had some stomach upset and also that the attendant had put them together in a single kennel thinking it would be "helpful." REALLY? After our specific instructions NOT to kennel them together??? We had also left prescription allergy meds for the older dog with very specific instructions on when and how to administer. After we picked up the dogs, I discovered NONE of the pills had been given! Someone had logged in the meds as "AS NEEDED" when our dog is supposed to get them regularly at prescribed intervals to control her symptoms. When I phoned the manager to address the mistake, she kept loudly speaking over me with her defensive excuses without allowing me to fully voice my complaint. What happened to treating paying customers with courtesy and respect??? Needless to say, Pet Paradise has permanently lost our business. read more

Today was the second time I have used Pet Paradise Grooming Services for my two Bichon Frise. Check-in is easy with curb-side, and the dogs are able to drink and potty while there. Staff is friendly, professional, and take time to answer questions. I have also used their vet as I recently moved to Georgetown. I have been to this location a few different times for my pitty mix. The Vet & veterinarian assistants are extremely helpful and kind. Everyone is welcoming and willing to assist you in the office. I would give 5 starts but making an appointment has always been a pain in the behind. Every time I make an apt I get a call from the office staff confirming the correct day but the wrong time. The last time I went in for my appointment they couldn't even find my reservation in the system. The staff seemed genuinely confused but trying their best. I have called & emailed & provided our phone numbers to the Pet Paradise Corporate Office months ago about our poor experience at the Georgetown location, and have yet to get any apology or even any response at all. I was hoping they would make it right somehow- yet bc they too have shown how unprofessional they are or how little they actually care for the feedback.....we have decided it is best to now make it public to warn other pet parents of how poor the boarding services are. We even paid for VIP.... We did a meet and greet as suggested- about a week prior, it was utter chaos. We had left our dog for 4 hours to be interacted with and introduced to other dogs as suggested. When we returned the front staff told us it was so crazy that day- they didn't think our dog was interacted with at all. Then the manager came out and said our dog was just so nervous. Yet it didn't seem even any staff took much time with her at all. The desk staff even said they just didn't have the time for it. So it turned out- It was just an excuse they gave as she just was never even taken out for any interactions....So we basically just had our pet there for 4 hours for no actual meet and greet at all..... We decided to move forward and try the boarding experience anyhow as we were needing to proceed with our approaching vacation plans. We wanted to give the place a better chance to help ease my already negative doubts.... During drop off, I was attempting to give the front desk staff instructions and more details for our senior dog. It was complete chaos and some of the staff immediately seemed annoyed with being provided details and instructions about our dog & in bringing in items to help keep her comfortable. She is an elderly pet.... What we then saw on camera was absolutely unprofessional and heartbreaking... We literally watched our dog be neglected and already on an island, could not just go there to pull her out. When we kept calling to make sure things were getting done bc we could see on camera they weren't, they also informed us our dog hadn't eaten the first 3-4 meals. You can imagine how upsetting that is to hear....This was absolutely ridiculous bc our dog is food motivated. Turns out- They never noted my specific instructions that she will not eat without someone being with her. She is this way even at home. She is a rescue and this is a safety thing for her since she was a pup. Also the top reason why we chose to do VIP service to make sure this was part of her care! The desk staff also expressed they just didn't have the time or the staffing for the amount of dogs there. The staff said they had over 80 dogs staying there and not enough staffing. I informed them it wasn't our problem, and they needed to provide the VIP care we were told our senior dog would get. A manager told me they were just trying to feed the animals and do a couple potty breaks when they could. This was not the VIP services we were assured of nor the type of service we paid substantially for. I expressed how dangerous that is and our dog would have never been left in their care had we been told this!!! Dogs can get urinary and stomach issues from this neglect! The first 5 days were absolutely the worst part....we felt totally helpless -to the point we were planning to cancel our vacation and come straight home. When expressing the major issues with the manager on duty a few times- she was completely unprofessional, dismissive, and nothing short of just being defensive about it and just talking over us. It was a complete joke discussing these issues with her at all and also when pointing out she was just on her personal phone, while in with our dog for her "VIP interactions" (she tried giving some poor excuse that she had a history of being bitten as a child)..... Yet she's sitting on our dogs bed and my dog is just watching the manager play on her personal phone. The VIP service was like a complete joke. This manager was literally the worst person to talk with during this poor experience as well. We had to finally call her out on to just please take ownership for her actions and the facility's mistakes and reassure us the constant issues will please stop happening. She just kept talking over us and being dismissive and defensive until she finally gave a very childish sarcastic apology. Worst customer service and management. The only good thing I can say, is the couple young gals seemed to be the only ones who seemed apologetic and empathize with the facility failures. They expressed they would try to express where major improvement needed to be made. They should have been the ones in management positions. This post is not meant to be malicious, I feel it is necessary to share what happened to my dog. I brought my dog in on a Friday afternoon and picked him at the time of opening on Sunday. I dropped off a very happy dog, I've never had any issues on any previous boarding or daycare here. When I picked him up, his paws were wet and his snout was wet and dirty. I was informed that he did not have urine on him, but he smelled awful like urine. My husband and I had to drive with the windows down, the smell was pungent. When we arrived home I took my dog a bath and dried him off, it was unusual that he let me bathe him as he doesn't like baths. He also wouldn't let me touch his paws. As the day progressed he didn't want to walk. Needless to say, I took him to his vet the next morning. Initially she could not see anything wrong with his paws, but he also wouldn't allow her to have much contact with them. He had x-rays and during that time, she decided to shave his paw to see what was going on. As you can see in the pictures, he suffered from hot spots, swelling and infection. I was told hot spots can come on overnight, from anything wet, itching, maybe even urine. I don't have any answers as to why this happened, he has never suffered from skin allergies or hot spots. My husband and I are very vigilant of our dog, we saw footage of him playing Saturday afternoon in the yard with the other dogs, he appeared well. I spoke to the Assistant Manager and Manager regarding his post-boarding condition. They also had no answers as to how this happened, perhaps a new cleaning solution being used because of the recent outbreak of dog respiratory infections. Another thought was that my dog gets anxious and plays with his water bowl. Needless to say, I will not be taking him back to this facility. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! First of all my dogs were there for 2 days and they come home and one of them has Kennel Cough. The first manger I spoke to was super sweet and helpful then the resort manager I spoke to was so rude. Acted like she didn't care about the fact that my dog is sick, was speaking over me and was repeating herself like I was a dumb kid that couldn't understand. She then proceeds to say that all dogs need to have their vaccines before boarding which is false. Clearly dogs there at the facility are sick!!! My dog has 103 fever and has been vomiting for the past 2 days.. I triple checked with all employees as well as the manager on staff and they all said "pet paradise ensures there is no sick pups on site" FALSE. How is my dog sick if there are no sick dogs? I understand this infection is going around that's why I spoke to my vet before boarding my dogs to make sure they had both booster shots of canine influenza. I then asked if they will cover the vet visit since she caught the flu at the facility after ALL employees said "we ensure you they will not get sick, we clean all the kennels" and the resort manager says "nope we won't do that". Please don't bother to take your pets here ! I don't recommend this pet paradise !! read more

First time visit for pet boarding, but I'm giving 5 Stars because service and experience was the absolute best down to every detail that provides confirmation that my great experience is the standard here based on the quality of care and attention given our senior dog along with the cleanliness of the new facility and the dedication of the staff from our first visit to preview the facility and as seen on our drop-off day and pickup two days later. Yes, it's brand new, but daily housekeeping like mopping the entry common area and kennel areas are evident and makes a huge difference. The Webcam of play areas were really helpful in seeing this place in action and the effort made by staff to ensure that every pet is attended to and has a great experience. Our dog undoubtedly enjoyed his stay and we enjoyed our trip having the confidence that our pet was receiving the best care and recreation with the assurance that the veterinarian care of site along with grooming etc. ensures that all needs can be met and there's a plan for any need and staff on duty 24/7 to ensure that all is well. Great customer service and a great system in place to meet every need of pet owners and especially the dogs and cats who check in for a stay or the day camp programimg that Pet Paradise features in addition to Veterinary care and grooming. read more

Barkley and I have had an amazing experience thus far. I believe that part of the experience has to do with communication and expectations. This place was recommended to us by one of my neighbors, who is very happy with the service that she's received this past year. I did read the reviews below, but understand that it is my responsibility to find the best care for my pet as I would my own child. Not all facilities are the same and can provide what we expect/want, I can tell you that they do customer experience calls and emails for feedback. I use that to communicate with them as well as face to face. We started off doing half days to acclimate Barkley to other dogs and other people, as he is only 10 months old. And recently we tried the boarding. Experience is going great, and the ability to be able to request grooming/ exit bath prior to pick up makes the experience even better as it is a time saver for me. Having had other dogs and used other facilities around central Texas for dog care, you have to find the right one that fits your pet and their needs. My dog has been to daycamp his whole life. He loves to be social and was never restricted to an hour a day. This was not was told to me over the phone. When I showed up, being the first time and nervous, the desk person was so rude and gave me an attitude that I started to cry. After dropping him off, I called about three hours later to ask how he was and all they could say is good. Nothing more!! I asked that he was bathed and had his nails trimmed. Terrible place. No one ever answers the phone. I went in person once last month and literally no one there to welcome me for a good ten minutes. My dog needed surgery that the doctor had mentioned might happen if the antibiotics didn't work and they didn't put it in their notes so it "never was said" and they're were going to charge me again for an exam. They referred me to another place just to not have to deal with my and my dane. Go somewhere else, it's not worth it. read more

Don't board your dog here! My dog got a respiratory infection here and he's fully vaccinated. I just learned from my vet that they just treated 5 other dogs that went to pet paradise that also caught a respiratory infection. Dirty dirty place. Beware!!! read more

Beautiful facilities check in check out amazing. This is where my praise stops one star should be zero due to groomers skills which is why I brought my dog there. I was specific to the cut wanted. Instead my dog was cut down to the skin and few actual small lacerations. She won't even let me pet her due to her skin being to sensitive now. If you love your dogs either don't go here or ask a lot of questions and for them to detail how they will cut and how short they will go. read more

Avoid Pet Paradise in Georgetown for grooming! Took my Pomeranian in yesterday with groomer Julissa she cut Shady on her rectum down to the skin with the clippers You would think she would of stop there and ask for help but did not on her left ankle bold and has a cut, on the top of her back clip with the clippers down to her skin, on her front leg bold clip and her stomach another bold clip. My poor Pomeranian during pick up the manager blamed my Pomeranian for moving too much which she LOVES to be groom never had a issue from groomers. I told Pet Paradise staff she was moving because Julissa was hurting her clipping her down to her skin! NEVER AGAIN WOULD I TAKE ANY OF MY DOGS HERE!!!! I just spoke with Jacob Watts and his attitude really needs some adjustment, He was very short and had a horrible self demeaner. I have never taken my dogs to a place for grooming and have the groomer tell me that she/he works on commission and he is able to just make up his own pricing. He said today would be $60.00 per dog but, next time it will be a higher price, that is very unprofessional and all this was being said in front of the manager. How can a company advertise a price and then change it to what they want to, Just because, This company is to big for their own breeches, When I take my dogs to their competitors I get a price that is advertised , I don't have to go thru a negotiations. read more

HIGHLY DISCOURAGE GIVING THIS PLACE ANY BUSINESS Scheduled my dog to be boarded last week for the first time. I brought all of his records as requested and upon arrival I was told he did not have his bordetella vaccine (evidently it doesn't come with all of the normal puppy shots, my fault for not checking). The girl at the front even called my local vet to double check his records which I thought was above and beyond. Luckily (or so I thought), they told me they have a vet on site that could administer the vaccine for $28. I had no problem at all paying the $28 (even though it is far higher than my local vet). I was already fixing to spend around $125 to board and bathe my dog, excited to try this place out. The girl at the front goes to let the vet in the back know, then comes back out and tells me that the vet said he would have to do a whole new client examination and charge another fee (somewhere around $50 or $60) to DETERMINE if my 7 month old golden retriever is healthy enough to get the vaccine. Mind you, the staff had just talked to my LOCAL vet, where I have taken my dog to routinely for each required vaccine and checkup imaginable. I politely asked the girl if that was necessary, considering I had just taken him to my vet (who they just spoke with) for a checkup. I also said that a new client consult was not necessary, considering I would not be bringing him back for vet services as I have a local vet already. She told me she would go ask the vet. She comes back a few minutes later and tells me the vet said he still had to charge me the fee and could not take another veterinarians "word for it." I asked to speak to the vet directly, as this was clearly a scam to get another chunk of money for nothing. Dr. Capron came out and was visually annoyed. I asked him directly if he could just contact my local vet (who he obviously knew) to verify the dog could receive the vaccine. I also explained that I was trying to give Pet Paradise business (and future business!) but did not want to be taken advantage of. He then proceeded to TALK BADLY ABOUT MY LOCAL VET, telling me that I could take my business elsewhere if I wasn't willing to pay his fee. Being in business myself, I was baffled that this "professional" was willing to A) treat a customer as he did, B) speak badly about another local vet, and C) lose potential long term business and damage the reputation of the business. It's clear that he does not care. I would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE using this business for ANY services, especially veterinary services, as long as Dr. Capron is there. Truly unbelievable how he spoke to me and bad mouthed another colleague. read more

I took my dog here the second day it opened. Checkin was a mess. No order and people giving me different answers. I schedule a tour for the same day and I literally was walked to the play yard area and back. Never saw where my dog would be sleeping or any other areas. My dogs toys that were dropped off with him were missing when I pick him back up. When I pick up my dog from the day camp he was shaking and scared. Idk what the staff did to my dog but I will never be taking him back here again. I urge other dog owners to look into other facilities. I personally went and toured 3 other facilities and found that the pet-suites of round rock off of Louis Henna Blvd. actually live up to their reputation and your dog is actually being shown the care and loves that he/she deserves while visiting. read more

I've never given a one star review but I was unable to resolve my issues with pet paradise after being patient and professional. I had purchased a monthly policy for my dog. I called in September to cancel and spoke with someone who said they would pass the notice to the vet hospital. I received a call back and was left a voice message confirming I wanted to cancel the subscription. I called back with an hour and had to leave a voice message clearly stating "yes" I wanted to cancel. Now I've been billed for October and November and when I called they refused to refund saying they didn't get my voice message. Even though I had already called and spoke to someone saying I wanted to cancel their job is to prevent people from canceling policies. The reason for the cancelation was at a check up for my puppy at about 7 months the vet wanted to do surgery and remove 2 of her teeth so her adult teeth would grow in straight. That was a hard no for me and within 4 days both of those teeth had fallen out and her teeth are perfect. It should be noted this vet (who is a nice guy) specialized in teeth in vet school and I felt pushing surgery that I knew wasn't required would be my last visit here. I still use them for grooming services but will now move all my business where I feel its not just about money but actually caring for my animals and being professional. read more

If you care about your pets safety do NOT take them there. They knowing put our dog in a unsafe pen even though they knew from prior experiences that he got injured before. We trusted they had this handled but they failed us. Never again and if you are taking your pet after reading this don't say you were not warned. read more
