I'm totally digging this place right now as my go-to yogurt place! It's a convenience store/ice…read morecream parlour, though there aren't any seats for you to enjoy your ice cream there. My boyfriend and I dropped by there on a whim; I think we both remembered vaguely someone mentioning that this place served tart froyo, so we wanted to check it out. There was one guy running both the convenience store and the ice cream counter at the time; I guess it's because it was on a weeknight in a fairly quiet neighborhood. At first I didn't really understand what he meant when he pointed to the 10-gallon tub of semi-tart frozen yogurt and the many pints of frozen fruit sitting beside it. I was like, "What? You're telling me you're just going to give me scoops of this hard stuff and frozen fruit on top?" That totally didn't sound appealing to me at all. I didn't really understand what he was going to do until he scooped out huge scoops of the yogurt into a cup and dumped a couple of frozen strawberries into it. He then started up a machine, put that mix in the machine's mixing cup, and lo and behold, the stuff I was used to seeing was compressed out into the soft-serve froyo form! That was crazy cool. :-) It was definitely the best strawberry froyo I've had since it tasted incredibly fresh; you can still crunch into those itty bity strawberry seeds as you enjoy the froyo. I'll definitely be coming back for more of this stuff! If you're not so into the froyo, they've got pretty decent ice cream, too, with some of the harder to find flavors like Oreo mint and toasted almonds. Yum, yum, yum!

I said no we're here for ice cream -- that area was completely dark and out of commission. They reassured us they had ice cream. Convenience store was kinda gross and depressing. Never coming back for a $4.40 scoop of ice cream. Go to Baskin Robbin's.

Rocko's Tacos is an absolute gem and unlike anything else out there. In a world completely every…read moresaturated with the same overly sweet, sugar-boba-loaded Asian drink trends, Rocko's stands out by doing something genuinely original -- and doing it exceptionally well. I've honestly never experienced anything like their ice cream tacos before, and that uniqueness alone makes it unforgettable. The shop itself is incredibly cozy and welcoming, the kind of place you want to hang out in rather than rush out of. You can really feel that it's a small, local business run with care and pride. Adding to that charm is the local kids working there -- fast, efficient, friendly, and clearly well-trained. Service is smooth even when it's busy, which says a lot. Now the flavors... unreal. My personal favorite is "The King", named after Elvis -- banana ice cream, honeycomb, and peanut butter. It's rich, perfectly balanced, and straight-up addictive. I also absolutely love the Rocko's Tacos ice cream taco favorite with mint -- fresh, creamy, and wildly satisfying. Rocko's Tacos isn't just dessert, it's an experience. Creative, cozy, local, and delicious -- this place deserves every bit of hype and then some.

But if you like big icecream scoops, the regular size would be better. They have a lot of different flavors and combos. I loved that they had a vegan gluten-free taco shell option. They also had three non-dairy and egg free vegan ice cream flavors. I liked the fudge chip flavor out of the vegan ones. The other two were caramel and coconut, and they tasted a little less flavorful to me. You can select what to dip your ice cream taco in and the toppings would be. At the end, they dip the entire taco in liquid nitrogen, which makes it nice and frozen! Definitely give this place a try if you're looking for a different ice cream adventure.
