They take the time to explain what's best for your garment based on their knowledge of designing, sewing, altering cleaning, etc... and also take into consideration your thoughts, ideas and wishes as well. I've been coming here since they owners before this one. At least 20 years. This has been a consistent place I go to to tailor my clothes. Although it can get pricey for some things like hems etc, I have been very satisfied . Once in a while I dry clean- and I never had any major problems. read more

I had three suits tailored here. They were all from other people so they required extensive work to fit me, not only was everything done within a week-and-a-half at a fair price... it was amazing! Truly, the suits look brand new and I get more compliments on them than on the $1,200 custom suit I once received as a gift. I've been going to this place for a little over a year. I've brought in everything from bridesmaid dresses to jeans needing a hem. The woman who works there (I don't know her name) is very sweet. They have done a fabulous job on everything I have brought in. I even needed a skirt same day, and she was able to have it back to me before the close of business day. Their prices are reasonable too. I used to have my items tailored at the cleaners on Chestnut Street in RP, but they are much more expensive and take a very long time. The guy who owns that place is super nice, and I still take my dry cleaning there, but I definitely recommend While U-Wait for alterations. read more

Very friendly and caring. Their work is excellent for tailoring. I drive 30 minutes because of the special attention they give you and the superior job they do. I have not used for dry cleaning. Price is not cheap but the quality is worth paying slightly more than your standard tailor for the personalized attention you get. read more

Horrible, don't waste your time if you're trying to find a good tailor. I wanted two jackets tailored, and they charged me $80 (which was fine if they actually did anything) I took back a jacket twice because the sleeves weren't tailored at all, and it wasn't form fitting like I asked. After two times of bringing it back I'm almost positive they don't listen or take direction very well. I won't be going back and I'm very upset that I wasted $80 on nothing. read more

Come here often and also for a good many years. Recently, had a problem because I forgot to pick up my dress before closing. I was frantic because I needed it the next day for my twin grandsons christening!! It was Saturday at 4:20 and I now needed to find a dress...one that would fit just right and match my shoes!! A very daunting task indeed . My son managed to locate a personal phone number for the owner and contacted her to tell her of my dilemma. She very graciously agreed to meet me at 8:30 am Sunday morning to retrieve my dress!!! When I tried to compensate her for her troubles (and to show my gratitude) she simply said "it's ok, you're a customer." And told me to enjoy my day!!! Don't find customer service like that!!! It was my first and last time going to this place. I brought in a dress to be dry cleaned. It's a simple task. When I picked it up, the sash belt for the dress was missing. When I asked the lady about it, she said that the dress never came with it. I very well know if I took the belt off or not, and I definitely didn't. She kept on insisting that the belt didn't have one when I repeatedly told her that I brought it in with the belt. She could have been courteous and checked to see if it was laying around somewhere and it could have been a mistake, but she tried to dismiss me like she didn't want to deal with it. That dry cleaning was expensive and the dress was even more expensive! It's not like I can go to the store and buy a random belt. It's specific for this dress. She didn't even offer to refund me for losing a part of my dress as if she didn't care about her customers. BEWARE! If you want pieces of your clothes missing after you drop it off for dry cleaning then by all means go to this place. If not, avoid this dry cleaners as much as possible. read more
