I've lived in Lexington for almost 17 years, but it didn't take me long to find Wheeler's. This place has been described as "Cheers without the beers," and it's true! There are many people you will encounter on any given day and instantly be able to identify them as regulars - maybe even LIFERS! When you walk through the doors all you see is pharmacy, but hidden against the far right wall is an old school diner and soda fountain, right there in the store! Lee (female) has been working at the fountain for almost 23 years and Ricky probably just as long. I love everything about this place; the friendliness, the allure of its uniqueness, the great prices for the portions, the milkshakes, and of course the FOOD! My go-to is breakfast, but I finally tried lunch for the first time, and the Buddy Burger and regular fries didn't disappoint. My boyfriend inhaled the Stuart Burger and seasoned fries (more like potato wedges), too. Back to breakfast though, be sure to ask for your biscuits GRILLED - you won't be sorry! The last time I was at Wheeler's coincided with a tragic event in our family three years ago, and yesterday was my first trip back since. As I reminisced Lee was so sweet and gave me the biggest hug. She made my weekend.

Tried the deluxe cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate malt today on a recommendation from a co-worker. Atmosphere/Service: Set in a routine pharmacy with a old dinner circa 1958 in the back right corner, would have been complete with a table jukebox and a selection of 60's song... alas there wasn't any. Steady flow of customer that appear to be regulars ranging from teenagers to AARP members. Staff was very friendly and service was quick, though I think their overall happiness could have been improved (perhaps the missing jukebox would help). Food: The deluxe cheeseburger had a buttered and toasted bun, with generous slices of cheese, unions, lettuce, and some sauce. The meat was of good quality, cooked perfectly, and had good flavor... overall a good burger that is just the right size. The fries were the thick cut variety, fried fresh, but nothing to write home about. The malt was made with real milk and ice cream and tasted great, but could have been improved with a bit more malt and if not served in a styrofoam cup (I like whip cream, cherry, wafer curls, and a big glass mug with a bigger stainless steel mixer glass sitting beside it for a 5 star review). Conclusion: If your in the mood for the quintessential american fast food trio and in the area, skip the chain joints and check out Wheeler Pharmacy.

On Saturday I went to Wheelers for lunch-Wheelers is such a friendly, neighborhood spot. I like the diner atmosphere and the nice staff. I got a BLT sandwich with chips, a simple order that tasted good! You can order breakfast or lunch there and I normally get the breakfast

The best pancakes ever! It's not much to look at, and I haven't had lunch there yet, but breakfast was excellent and super affordable.

It was also a bit difficult to find this place until I drove around the "back" of the shopping center and found it! Whew. From the previous reviews, it looks like the smoothie bar is really popular, but I'll be honest -- I didn't come here for that, nor did I try one. I came here to look at all the items they had available.... which ranges from cutesy gifts to medicines. I was happy to see many herbal/alternative options for medicines. There was also a book near the pharmacy counter that had information about the different pills/medicines available. I think this functions as a regular pharmacy but with a little more hippie thrown into it. ;) The gift items (some shirts, bags, candles, trinkets) were cute and local, but expensive, and kind of odd to see in a 'pharmacy' anyway. However, if I lived in Lexington and needed a pharmacy, this would be my place!! Just get a healthy smoothie while waiting for healthy treatments!

The pharmacy WILL NOT ANSWER a CUSTOMER'S telephone call. They make you leave a voicemail message…read moreand that they will return the call, "within one-hour." I called again (I work and getting a call back would not help) and I told the computer telephone voicemail system that I am a, 'pharmacist, or I am calling from a pharmacy', the pharmacy then answered the phone. So, obviously the pharmacist and technicians are there working. I was trying to find out the cost of diabetic medicine (not taking it by choice) that is costing in the $1,500.00 range. The technician that answered the telephone said because I was not a pharmacist, that I would have to, "call back", and leave a voicemail to request the information. When I stated, "what kind of customer service is that", she said that is what she was told by the pharmacist. When the pharmacist finally picked-up she told me that she would take down my information/request only this time since I was a first-time caller. She would have to call me back with the information I requested, and then again reprimanded me for calling on the line that I did, and if I did it again they would not take the call! The reason I called to begin with, which I had to have my regular pharmacy transfer the prescription (they were polite, helpful, conscientious, and professional), was because the CVS website advertised the cost in the $600.00 range. This was not true. The medicine was still costing over $1,100.00. That, of course, is not the Todd's Rd. CVSs' fault, but the telephone debacle is. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the Todd's Rd. CVS pharmacy.

This is for the pharmacy and for the pharmacy only…read more I will no longer be a customer at another CVS in my life. I am an extra care member and will be switching over to Walgreens. No joke today I got B*TCHED out by the main pharmacist. Guy was completely unprofessional and was yelling at me even through the store while I left. Story below: I have Covid and pink eye in 2 eyes. I don't live here I'm out of town for a trip. All I wanted was my prescription for eye drops so I could drive my three hours and go home to bed. It was 1:24. He said I can't help you we are closed at 1:30. I said no it's 1:24. MAN STARTS YELLING AT ME. I tried to explain how terrible my day had been and he proceeds to say all these insulting and unprofessional things in the store. While I was leaving he CONTINUED to shout out me through the store. Went over to Walgreens and the pharmacist there saw I was upset, even offered to open their pharmacy up 5 minutes early to help me and offered to help me find anything I might need in the store. Complete different customer service model. I am never considering another CVS again in my life. I am in awe by the things a PHARMACIST was saying to me over a basic conversation. He could have been polite and explained that he was busy or whatever but instead was cursing and yelling throughout the entire store.
