DO NOT do business with these people!! They're scammers!! Their so called manager, Amber, is not to be trusted. . She told me she would give me a "discount" of $125 and a free service call to make sure that was it. I told her they were on Amazon for $79 and asked if she could price match and I would just stop by and get it--save the service call. She told me she paid more than that for them. I asked why she didn't just order from Amazon then. She said because then she couldn't get the manf warranty, which makes sense. He shows up. The remote was worn...the labels ripped and clearly NOT new. When I asked about the return policy, he called and she said there was none. I got out my card to pay and then I noticed the labels were worn and torn. Clearly not new. I told him I didn't mind paying the extra because I really needed one. I couldn't get up/down without it, but I at least wanted a new one with the warranty. She wanted to speak to me and was the rudest lady I have ever spoken to in a professional setting. She told me that's all they had and I could order from Amazon. It was still hooked up and I said fine. I'll pay, then when I get the new one, I'll return and if you don't accept, I'll file a claim with my bank. She literally calls the police on me. . They thought she was scum too. I feel sorry for the poor service guy who came. He was so nice. He doesn't deserve to work for such a terrible company. She wouldn't give me her boss's info or say if they were corporate or a franchise. That's fine. I'll find out on my own. I have been waiting over two months for my prescription to be acknowledged. I'm told someone will get back to me and they never do. They do not answer the phones well either. After on hold for 10 minutes it disconnects you automatically. I'm asking my doctor to send the prescription anyplace else but Patient Aids. Terrible Service! read more

I got very good customer service from this agency. Hospital bed and walker both delivered and picked up. Ease of payment and worked with my insurance making things much easier for me during a difficult time. The driver delivering and picking up my hospital bed was so pleasant and caring! read more

I wont be coming back to this place, never got helped the first time I was there. I was told I'll be helped and stood there waiting and ended up getting the wrong size. Now cannot exchange it . You should not make any special orders with Patient Aids on Maple Leaf Drive in Lexington. They have terrible management in that location and their records are a mess. Some on paper and some on computer. As a CPA and auditor, I would deem them at high risk for internal control breakdown and potential fraud. I spent over an hour there with my elderly mother and we ordered a Pride Mobility lift chair on August 11. They noted that they would order it and that payment would be when the chair was delivered to the store. They said they would call us when the chair came to the store and we would inspect it, sign off and then pay for it and they would arrange delivery. We called about every 1 1/2 weeks to check on the status. Last status on the phone was around Labor day and they said the chair had been shipped and should be at the store in the next week or so. On September 14, I was in Lexington for my father's doctor appointment and we stopped by the store. They had no evidence of our order either in the notebook or the computer. I asked for the manager and she indicated she would research the situation and would call me on the next day. She didn't call so I called the store that afternoon. I talked to a very nice new employee who made calls to find out the status and she indicated that they don't have evidence of the order and do not know when the chair would even come in. We discussed that it probably made sense for us to go order our chair at another DME provider. I wish I had looked at their online reviews before visiting the store as I see now that this lack of internal controls around special orders is a pattern for them. Stay away! read more

Very disappointed that my husband's doctor referred him to Patient Aids for a sleep machine on November 9th and as of date he still has not rec'd it. He stopped by Patient Aids last week and was told the machine needed to be authorized by his insurance. I followed up today and was told that they had rec'd everything from the doctor but hadn't gotten to it yet. I asked when would they be able to get it authorized and he said maybe today. Maybe? My husband stops breathing in his sleep many times through out the night and all I got was a maybe? This is not best practice and if we didn't need this machine we would go somewhere else. read more

I am very happy with all the staff at patient aids. They always go out of their way to help me by doing things like carrying my supplies out to my truck and by making sure that I have extra supplies when I am traveling. I have tried to be a customer of Patient Aids for over 5 years. However, your ineptness and inability to provide even mediocre service to yor customers amaze me. Your never answer your serivce phone. Youu just picked up and hng up your main line on me and I cannot get an answer on why you haven't shipped me my supplies for over 3 weeks. If anyone recommends or promotes you as a capable supplier of medical devices, they are be disingenuous and doing a great disservice to the public!! Absolutely dissapointing!!! read more

I rarely give a 1 star review but every comment below reflects the service you will receive here. First they lost my order and 2 months later my doctor resent it. It look several calls and lots of hold time over the 4 months it took to get an appointment. The day of my appointment, i got a call saying that they were returning my call to book an appt. When i said i was coming in that day, i was told no one had it written down. I finally got the machine but was missing a part i need. 4 calls and 4 days later i am still trying to talk to someone. Whoever i talk to tells me that they can't help me. If your doctor recommends this place, ask for a different place to get your equipment. The fact that every review is one 1 star definitely says something about what to expect. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: Originally had a billing issue with this business that I could not resolve with staff at location. After claim being elevated to higher level, however, I got a reasonable result. Service is not bad, just need to be cautious and aware regarding automated supply re-ordering. read more
