I can't express enough how satisfied I was with my experience with Wheel Techniques. Returning home on 880 from a poker tournament in Sacramento I heard a horrific thud, then my sensor lights indicated I had a flat on my rear right. Given is was 3am, I limped the car home for the mile I was away. I ordered a new tire and awaited its arrival only to be informed by my tire guy that my wheel was mangled. He spun my wheel on the balancing machine and it was shaped like an egg as well as a twist that made the wheel shift inside to out. What on earth did I hit on the freeway that evening? Then come to learn that my 22" Forgiato wheel was discontinued and Forgiato would charge me $3k to custom make me a replacement. What a complete nightmare. I took my wheel to A1 welding in Oakland who have done lip repair in the past for me and they did a terrible job on the wheel and worse, handed the wheel back to me as finished and charged me $220 assuming I wouldn't know the wheel wasn't close to true. To their credit, they ended up giving me a full refund and recommended a shop in Walnut Creek called Riteway Wheel because they had the correct equipment. Drove there only to be informed that my wheel was bent at the hub and a repair was impossible. I was resigned to my fate that I was stuck with a set of three useless wheels. As a last ditch effort after doing a Google deep dive, I read great things about Wheel Techniques and thought I'd try a Hail Mary and call them. I described the issue and to my surprise, they said bring the wheel and that they were 90% sure they could get the wheel close enough to use. Guess what? Not only did they repair the wheel to 95% of original condition, they have in house tire mounting and Powdercoating services! These guys are true pro's, with a positive "can do" attitude with no whining and long faces about how you're out of luck like the other spots. I just had two wheel repairs on two different cars. I hit a piece of concrete on 680 that was from a pot hole and damaged the forged wheel on my 2023 C8 Corvette. The bend was against the spoke making it difficult to repair. Wheel Tech did a great job repairing and repainting the damaged section. A replacement wheel was $960 so they saved me $700. I also had damaged a rare three piece wheel on my Lamborghini Diablo and they were able to restore its shape so I can now send it out for re chroming. I also recommended Wheel tech to a friend with a Diablo 6.0 who had 4 wheels with curb rash. He originally took it to a Lamborghini Shop in the South Bay that wanted close to $5k to restore all four wheels. He then took the wheels to Wheel Tech and they restored all 4 wheels for approx $500. These guys do great work and would highly recommend them. read more
