I had a most pleasant experience with Glenn and his team (I met April, Alex & Ian) - Glenn earlier) at Wheel Doctor in Blue Ash (Cincinnati). I dropped my Honda S2K off in the am (I dropped my new Continental tires off the day before, which I bought at Tire Discounters on Glenway - thanks Greg Lincoln!) and they removed the old wheels/tires. Totally stripped, cleaned and powder coated to the color I chose (silver), mounted with new valve stems, balanced and installed back on the car. Be sure to ask for their cash deal. I've used Wheel Doctor on multiple sets of wheels over the last 10 years. Damaged, cracked, bent, after market, factory OEM rims, etc etc. Everytime I pick them up I'm blown away by the work they do. Damaged rims are good as new. Freshly painted rims give you a custom look at a fraction of the cost. As long as I can keep getting scheduled, I'll be a customer for years to come. dropped off a bent aluminum wheel for repair. was told they would make it like new. picked up 6 days later. mounted wheel on car and noticed a thick heavy paint line just inside the face all the way around. they did not repaint the whole wheel. test drive revealed a bad vibration after wheel put on. took to tire dealer and they showed me on their balancer that the wheel was still bent and had heavy runout on the inside lip causing the issue. taking wheel to another place. dont trust these people. their website is very misleading. read more

Unfortunately, this will be my first negative review posted on Yelp. After reading the positive reviews and meeting/talking with Glenn at the Wheel Doctor, I had great expectations for a positive outcome. I was mistaken. I needed one wheel refinished and matched to the factory color/finish of another wheel. I showed both wheels to Glenn and he told me they could do the job but it would take several weeks. He said the shop was really busy and backed up for several weeks for any new work I said that was fine. However, much to my surprise I was called by April and was told if I could bring the wheels back, they could fit them in. Delighted, I drove back the next day and dropped the wheels off. So far so good, that was until they called and said the wheels were ready to be picked up. When I arrived at the shop, I was met by a young man 16-17 years old, Glenn and April were not around. He brought me the wheels and immediately I could tell the color was off, noticeably darker, see pictures. I took the wheels home only to return the next day so I could talk to Glenn. After another discussion of how busy they were he agreed that the shop could do a better job matching the color. So, I left them once again. Fast forward another 3 weeks and I get a call from April. She explained that she had their painter spend two more hours spaying samples and reached the conclusion that they could not match the color and have spent too much time and money on the wheel. She said it would not be profitable to continue any longer and for me to come get the wheels. So I drove to the business and told April that I was very disappointed. Glenn said they could do the job now you say because it is not profitable you can't do it. I asked her do you mean you can't do it because the shop is incapable or you won't do it because of profit. She got indignant and accused me of berating her and she was not going to stand for it. April and Glenn - you should have done the right thing and that is paint the wheel as promised and agreed to. If your business is refinishing wheels and you can't match colors any better than what you did - then maybe it's time to get out of the painting business. I'm not sure how much affect this one negative review will have but ask yourself is the extra couple of hundred dollars saved by not completing the work, as agreed to, worth it? I received a refund but for me this is not about $120 it is about integrity, doing what is right, and keeping your word, all of which, in my opinion, are lacking here. The 1 star is because April put profit ahead of everything else. If an agreement is made, then the work, no matter how long it takes or how much money it costs should be honored and completed. That is not too much to ask. read more

I would give this a 0/5 but unfortunately that is not an option. I have never encountered a more disrespectful person in a customer service position than at the wheel doctor. First off, the hub cap to my car fell off while driving, I went to the dealership and got it replaced it was silver, my rims are matte black. The dealership referred me to the Wheel Doctor to have it painted the same color as my rim. Wheel doctor told me it would be a few days to complete. I call two days later and they said they have it ready to pick up. I pick it up and instead of being a matte color like my rim, it is shiny (see attached picture). Thinking it was a simple solution, I go in to let the person at the front desk know and ask about what can be done to fix it. She starts raising her voice, yelling at me, saying how disrespectful I was being when all I wanted to know was how to fix the paint because it is not how I wanted it. She did offer to refund me, but that wasn't the point, I wanted it to be painted the matte color like the rest of my wheels. That is why I went to them. I feel like I could have spray painted it and gotten the same results. Long story short, I do not recommend Wheel Doctor to anyone. They are a scam and also have the worse customer service I have ever seen. After reading some of the other reviews about the customer service being good, I wonder if they are fake reviews. Talk about service AND quality! Went in to get the badly scuffed wheels for my Audi repaired. Was told that since the wheels have to be powder coated anyway, for the same price I could have a new wheel color. I jumped on that. Then, I asked if I get new tires delivered there from Tire Rack would they put them on my repaired wheels. They said sure - no charge. (They had to take off and put on tires anyway.) I couldn't stop. I wanted to add ceramic low-dust brake pads. They said they do that for a very reasonable price. I ordered pads for them to install, and we still weren't done. When I delivered my car for the work, they offered to powder coat the calipers any color I want, and again for a very reasonable extra charge. Picked the car up today. The wheels are a very cool gray with copper colored calipers. Everything perfect. read more

We all have had some kind of car trouble and for me nothing is more annoying than a tire with a slow leak AHHHHH! I struggled with this tire for almost a month and I even had it looked at from your typical tire shop but they could only slow the leak down. I found the Wheel doctor on yelp and gave them a call. They talked me thru the process and said that they could fix it in one day no problem. They did exactly what they said and charged me a very responsible price to fix the dent in wheel that caused the leak. I was in from out of state for one day for work and got a flat and another place told me I needed to order a whole new wheel, which was going to take days bc I have a Mini, but after calling Wheel Doctor they were able to fix my original wheel and did it with no notice or appointment and had me back on the road that same evening. Wheel Doctor is great, friendly and fast. I had one wheel on my BMW which had some nasty curb rash when I bought the car a few years ago. I have been going back and forth on buying new rims, before did some searching and found these guys. They deal with a lot of higher end cars who's customers can be demanding and they do great work. Their prices are very good, a new wheel would have set me back $385 from BMW. I was able to get my bad wheel repaired, all four of my wheels powder coated to a more aggressive metallic gunmetal I was looking for and my new tires mounted and balanced for under $500. I would suggest to anyone if you are looking to get new tires and have a damage wheel you want to get fixed, bring it to these guys. You can save money having your tires shipped strait to them (I used TireRack) and they will mount and balance them for free with the wheel work (would have cost me $100+ for mounting and balancing through another place). They pay very close attention to detail and do great work for a really good price. I will definitely use them again in the future for any wheel repairs or refinishing and will recommend them to all of my friends. read more

Had a wheel repaired that was badly damaged on the shitty expressways here in the area. I hit a piece of metal ( laying on the expressway randomly, you would think it would be someone's job to keep the roads clean an safe)that punctured my tire and bend / took a chunk out of the outside of the wheel. I was referred to the wheel doctor by a friend. It was a great experience start to finish. A replacement wheel was 300 plus from Volvo and the wheel dr fixed the badly damaged one for a mere 125 bucks. The entire wheel looks nearly new now. Amazing work would absolutely recommend them to anyone. The only issue I have now is the other 3 don't look as good as the one the fixed. We recently bought a new Tesla Model S. After grinding one of the rims on an invisible curb my first reaction was there goes $1100.00 out the window for a new 21" wheel. I took new $125k white car into get caliper painted red. They oversprayed the entire car with red dots. Hundreds spent to buff it out. Worse yet, they installed the calipers wrong and one literally fell off damaging the wheel and the caliper. Another $1500 wasted. Run away from these guys.... read more
