Dropped car off in Oct 24 and got it back in May 25. On the way home found the steering wheel now had @6inches of play making the ride home dangerous. Called and told them to come pick the car up as I was not driving it in that condition. Once they had it back in the shop they charged me another @$2300 to fix the related issues. Car still had several inches of play in the steering but their invoice said they checked with a dealer and this was normal. Curious what Karman Ghia dealt they check with. They couldn't tell me. Had to take several days off work to drive 30 miles to the place to see if the car was being worked on. They always had an excuse why it wasn't done. They don't care about their customer's, just their customer's money.

Horrible communication. You get an estimate from Benhase and assume you will pay more at the end…read moreof the day up to 100% over estimate. They hide behind the "time and materials shop" quote. It doesn't matter if their guy is sick and spending their time in the bathroom, you get billed the time they are (suppose) to be on your car. My restoration was agreed upon I would be part of process and yet things were not communicated to me and according to them it was my fault. I was quoted "apprentice hours and was billed for full rate. When asked to speak to someone it took 3 months to actually speak to anyone and I had to demand to speak to owner. All the while waiting to speak to someone, I was harassed to make a payment. When I was given the opportunity to present my issues to the owner, he gave me a minimal discount, but not what was presented in my estimate contract. I was promised a cache of photos of the restoration of my vehicle. I was promised access to photos on a weekly basis of what the vehicle looked like before they started and what was actually done. I received none of that. One of the reasons I chose here was to document the work being done. I had 5 project managers due to retirement and COVID, but not once did any of the replacements ask for a meeting to discuss what my restoration was to be. Not one replacement manager asked to understand what was on the estimate and what my expectations were for the estimate. I had to move right at the conclusion of the restoration of which, I wanted it to be done so I could stop the hemorrhaging of money. Arranging transport and receiving my vehicle in FL. To date, it doesn't start without giving it gas which it should not because it has a new fuel injection system. It overheats, which begs to question if the new electric fan was installed properly since it doesn't turn on. They replaced the glove box insert with a new one, but the light isn't seen because they didn't bother to knock out the hole or even bother to check to see what was stock. I don't even know where the parts came from or if they were made as replacements for my vehicle. Bottom line, they are over priced, they do not know every make so be sure to ask specifically for references to your make and model. Do not trust and go as far away as possible from these people if it is a Pontiac you want restored. Be sure if you get references, to ask specific questions like "How much different was out of pocket than estimate?" Just don't go here. When I was nearing completion, they were talking about asking for more than 25% down to start. Don't walk away-run. Go anywhere else.

I took my…read morebrand new (still in box) BMW M6 Wheels to them to have them powder coated black and have the machine surface with a tinted clear coat. Said it would take 1 week to 10 days. After delay after delay ("oh - they'll be done next week") I finally got them back 4 Weeks later - but they were solid black. Not what I asked for or ordered. I already have a black set of rims - why would I want another? So I had them try to fix the wheels per my original order - and after another 3 weeks of continuous lies and delays (oh - they'll be done in a few days or next week) my wheels still were not finished. So l called the owner - Josh, and asked what the problem was? He said: " l don't understand why you people get so upset when your parts or vehicles aren't finished, I tell all my employee's 'never tell a customer when we'll be finished', I also own a construction company and doing custom work on vehicles is like pouring concrete. Sometime you have delays"... wow, this coming from the owners mouth - comparing auto work to construction ... and 7 weeks in delays already! ... Here's a thought - stick to construction! ... or here's an even more novel idea: SCHEDULE your work on vehicles and parts. Don't continuously keep lying to your customer that you'll have the work completed "next week" and not even come close! ... Josh then said "I'll personally see to it that they'll be done next week for sure"... were they done the following week? Nope! Josh and company lied to me many times. Not only about delivery time but quality too. Thought I was getting all powder coating... nope - the tinted clear coat they screwed up on was liquid sprayed (found out after they coated them). I'll bet the black was too! So after 2 more weeks went by (a total of 9 weeks now) and still not finished - I had enough of the delays and clowning around and went and picked them up. But the condition they were in was pretty bad. They destroyed the original machined face by trying to sand the paint off off the surface and the black in other spots (that were suppose to be black) was sanded in many spots down to the grey underneath. A total botch job. Now I'm trying to get my money refunded. Craig - the guy that did the crappy work acknowledged he screwed up.... but Josh the owner is such a jerk he won't give a refund. Sad way to run a business! Would not recommend taking your vehicles or parts anywhere close to this failed biz ... unless of course you like to be "HUSTLED"! Take your wheels to Tri-state Rims and Wheels in Kettering OH. They know what they're doing there! They can actually do a machined finish face on your rims! I took another new set of rims to have redone and they did it in 3 DAYS!!
