I went to Discount tire after my oil change appointment at the Jeep Chrysler car dealership on Kings water drive. I needed a spline key for my tires which the dealership stated they had none and therefore couldn't get my tires rotated mind you I just got the car last August from them. Anyways i stopped in discount tire and was helped by a gentleman name Robert. He was really helpful and came out to inspect my tires and found the key I needed . All free of charge. Sorry this has to be so long but it's worth it if you are thinking of going to this place. I ordered tires that were in stock, I set up an appointment for the next day. I received a text with an appointment confirmation. The next morning, I received a text with an appointment reminder. While driving to my appointment, 5 minutes before my appointment time I received a phone call that I didn't answer because I was on the highway. When I arrived at Discount Tire I listened to the voice message. It was from this store's phone number, (from a man who gave a fake last name) I asked several people working there but no one knew who it was. The message said my tires had just arrived and I can call to set up an appointment. I went inside and spoke with Matthew, (His first name (Matthew) and his voice were the same as the voice message), I explained that I have an appointment. He took my key and went to my car, he came back and tried to sell me some $30 windshield wipers to replace the new wipers that were installed 2 months earlier. Then he said he was going to set me up with an appointment. (Already, well aware that I have one, I was on time and my time is passing). 2 hours after my appointment time, my car was ready. This store offers walk in service without an appointment, 5 to 7 of these were taken care of before my car was brought inside and started. When I arrived home I checked the tire pressures. The manufacturer states Front 33psi mine were Left 26, right 30, the cap was missing from the valve stem on the right front. The manufacturer states Rear 30psi mine were Left 28, right 24. Pathetic! Later, I received a message asking how was my experience with Discount Tire, so I answered. Then, my statement was forwarded to the store. I received a call from the store manager, Mark. All he had for me was some lies about a computer glitch and confusion over appointments. He said he was going to send me a $100 check for my trouble if that would be ok with me. I said that would be fine with me. That was the last lie Mark had for me, that was just over 4 months ago, no check was sent. The next lie will be the Postal Service lost the check. I must say this place has been great. After searching prices and warranties I found Discount tires had the best deal. I bought 2 new tires from them back in December. I walked in today at the fields ertle location because one of my old tires kept loosing air. They found a nail in it and patched for free! All the workers were nice and I was out within 45 min as a walk in. They won my business. read more

This place is stellar! I called a few weeks ago and spoke with the Manger Mike. He assisted me over the phone in selecting the wheels I wanted. He even called several manufactures to find exactly what I was looking for. He then ordered the wheels for me, when they were delivered he called and scheduled an appointment for that next Saturday. When I arrived for my appointment they immediately got to work and did a great job and had the new wheels on in UNDER an hour. I was impressed, the wheels look great and the service was superb. Had 3 tire lights turn on my Kia. I remember in college going to discount tire to patch my flat tire and they did it for free! I went in and the place was spotless! Steven, one of the managers took care of me right away! Got me explained what they will do and to test it out for 24 hours and maybe come back or another light comes on which may mean I have a flat. I have a 2017 Tahoe with less than 10K miles. Pristine to say the least. The manager knew I was nervous about the black factory wheels and he pointed out minor imperfections, but no paint scratched off, on the wheel outer surface before work was done. I can only assume the manager did not point out to the technician how clean everything was, and that the wheel and vehicle was in nearly new condition. Lesson learned: If you have black wheels, they will be damaged here, and anywhere you go, don't go for the guided tour inspection (i.e., learn from my mistake and inspect where the tire makes contact with the wheel, and inside too). What looked like red tape on the inner lip of the rim was actually the primer undercoat of the wheel from paint chipped off. The tires/wheels have never been serviced since I purchase new, and I've waxed/polished the vehicle twice, even the wheels. Wheels don't get scratched inside the rim edge. I would have gladly paid $40 or $50 (and expected to pay) for the "free" tire patch if it would have meant the manager actually managed the technician by communicating the standard expected instead of just humoring me with the "address the concerns of the customer" act. After getting home I noticed the wheel weight, that was removed when rebalancing the wheel, was gouged off with a screwdriver, leaving six or seven score marks completely down to, and into, the aluminum surface. Time will tell if my touch up/repair holds. read more

I first discovered discount tire in Texas. I never have had an issue with them ever. They have always done me right, since i came back to Ohio I was spoiled because, they didnt have a shop here. So i was forced to deal with tire discounters ( i would rather lick a cats ass than deal with them) Discount tire is the best choice in my opinion. Price, service, everything is better. Bad experience. Every time I come here, I'm not well treated. You can read on the managers and a few of the workers faces that they couldn't care less about your issues and it's clear they're paid hourly since they get paid the same regardless of their effort. A few of the workers including the manager take advantage of this and unfortunately never treated me well nor with respect. I can keep telling you multiple stories and occasions but then this'll turn into a book. I read some other reviews and most of them are positive. It's unfortunate that I'm always treated without respect and I hope it's not because of my ethnicity. I hope they take this review seriously and treat others with dignity and respect if they're not and change management. Discount Tire as a whole is a wonderful company, it's just unfortunate that such workers and managers are ruining the business name and I hope they fix it before it's too late. read more

Came in for a rotation and a balance walked out with a snapped wheel stud due to the tech cross threading the bolt to the stud. They handled this situation with class and respect, went to get a quote form firestone came back told me the claim would take forever. Jacob I think said they have a shop they send customers too called Christian brothers and they would bill discount tire directly. So I called over told them set up the appointment all taken care of. Although the cost was painful, I had excellent experience here. I have an AWD Subaru, and hit a pothole a few days back which caused a pinhole leak in the driver's front tire. The Technition was very mindful of what he was about to tell me, which was replacing one tire or even 2 could cause catastrophic damage to the transmission (due to the difference in tire depth(wear)). My gut told me this was correct but I called my mechanic anyway and he confirmed it's risky to just replace one tire or 2. I was in mild disbelief, but I could tell this wasn't the first time the technician had this conversation with a Subaru owner. He was calm, walked me through all of my concerns and offered to buy my old tires( tires were still in the "good" range). I would definitely recommend this place, could be the most professional tire place in the country! read more

I made an appointment to have a tire looked at due to low pressure in driver rear tire with Justin and he was really nice and pleasant to deal with. I was greeted upon arrival and car was promptly put into bay. The shop was well organized and very clean. They took both rear wheels off and examined them and then began working on one tire. They spent about 30 - 40 minutes working on my tire filling a plug and balancing the tire. The manager then comes to me in the waiting area and said they patched the hole in the tire and handed my a record of the work. I asked him what I owed him and he said it was on the house. These guys are professionals and very friendly. I will be going here from now on for all tire needs as well as buying my next set from them. My tire pressure light came on. I stopped by another tire place who checked my tires and told me they were fine. They indicated it was probably an issue with the sensor. I called the dealership and asked for a quote and was told about $150. I called Discount Tire and they told me it was likely the sensor just needed to be reset. I stopped by early on a Saturday morning. Ten minutes later they told me the had reset the sensor and checked my tires. And they did not charge me for the service. read more

Purchased tires online thru the website and scheduled appointment. Upon arriving was greeted promptly and checked in. Waiting area is super clean and all employees were friendly and outgoing. While there questioned them about my TMPS on other car and replacing sensors on the tires and was quoted for it and scheduled appointment for them to be replaced. Everything was easy and quick. Best. Tire Store. Ever. I am a naive, diminutive female. I know literally nothing about tires except I need them to drive my car. They have to have air in them. This ends my knowledge. Well, these fabulous fellows met me and my car this week. I had a tire that was slowly losing air. These guys took my car, offered me a seat and a water, and 20 minutes later they sent me on my way with a much happier car. They patched my tire for free, they tightened all my tires and I'm pretty sure they topped the air off on all them. They showed me on a chart where my tires were in the way of health. I had a set of Michelin tires that only lasted 27,000 miles and were bald. After calling around to 5 different tire shops that sell Michelin tires I learned that most tire shops do not want to deal with warranty work. Michelin gave me a case number but no one wanted to help me. My brother had suggested I go to Discount Tire and I said I refuse to go to them He said why and I said because they suck and he said no that is the other tire shop "Tire Discounters" and I said oh yes you are right. I went into Discount tire and said do you guys deal with factory warranty's and They said yes sir all the time. I gave them the case number and they took care of the rest. Michelin was very generous on their prorated settlement and Discount Tire made the process super easy. They also taught me a ton about tires and their prices are right in line with others. I had just had my car in at my dealership for a oil change and they never noticed the broken lug nut. A very clean establishment. I made an appointment over the phone in the morning for 4:00pm to look at my tires they had replaced two days prior because my car was showing system errors regarding those tires. When I arrived to the store they told me they have no knowledge of my appointment and proceeded to tell me I made an appointment with the wrong store. When I asked them their phone number, it matched the phone number in which I called. It wouldn't really be that big of a deal but the issue was caused by them and they weren't even willing to work with me on trying to get me in. If I could give them zero stars I would. What an experience! I am a person who gets anxiety when I have to deal with my car, a 2010 BMW X3. Every time I take it in for something, something else comes up. But my experience with Discount Tire put me well at ease. I looked up my tires on their website, which is wonderfully user-friendly, and picked tires based on the ones already on my car. A couple of days after I placed my order for the Fields Ertel location in Loveland, OH (I'm from Portland, OR), Drake called and told me the tires I picked were the incorrect ones, which totally confused me. He said for my all-wheel drive vehicle, he recommended a different size, front and back. He recommended two brands of tires that had the matching models in both sizes I would need. I was really impressed with his help because he didn't have to do that - he could have just given me the tires I originally ordered and that could have been that. I found four Continentals and called back and placed the order with Brandon. When they came in, I made an appointment for the end of the following week, which was today and they got me right in. Their customer service is stellar, which means a lot to me considering customer service in general seems to have gone the way of the dodo nowadays. The gentlemen were knowledgeable and friendly and worked very efficiently in their busy shop, never leaving anyone just standing around waiting when they came in.
