I got to try on the pieces before paying, and the grand total for all this work was $78! Come here if you want affordable but HIGH QUALITY work on any of your favorite pieces - you won't be disappointed! Also customer service was A+++ - super friendly husband and wife (the tailor) who run this store that has been in Montgomery Mall for decades! Would recommend to anyone in the MoCo or DMV area.

So I had heard that this Tailor was good, but that the woman owner was a little crazy. You might…read moreget her on a good day and she was nice, or you would get her on a bad day and she would just say no I can't do it. I took a dress in and sure enough it must've been a bad day because she basically did not even look at it. It had a bumpy seam in the bottom where from a previous alteration it got sewn up incorrectly. I asked if she could make the seam smoother. She didn't even look. She said return it to the store where you bought it. I said no this is from a previous alteration, I just think that part needs to be resewn. She said take it back to them. I said I don't really want to because they did this in the first place. She said take it to Nordstrom. I said they are better tailors than you? She said, I can't fix, and then started to walk away. Meanwhile, she still had never really even looked at it. Totally insane. How can you have a tailoring business that just says no. It is exactly what happened to my friend when she took some pants to be tailored. Just a super weird no to a normal tailoring job. Meanwhile, not a soul in the store and tons of suits and jackets and shirts. I would assume she would at least be nice to people as a way to draw in business. I was going to ask her if they had a man's tuxedo shirt (I need one for the same event as this dress is for), I wanted to get him a really nice quality one. But after that treatment. I just turned around and left and went to Nordstroms. What a shock they were super pleasant and helpful and I found just what I needed. And I spent $260. Unless their shirts are over $300, she would've had a customer, and a potential customer for the future, as he is very difficult to fit.

I brought my wedding gown to Jean as promised. I had bought a lace jacket that I wanted to pair…read morewith my dress to give me a bit move coverage and to make the dress more personal. I showed it to Jean and had suggested how we could attach it, which included cutting the lace and adding a clasp. He said it would be unnecessary and attached it in such a way I could still get into the dress easily and it looked like it was always suppose to be there. I gave him plenty of time to do the dress and the other alternations which were mostly minor. The cost was WAY less than the tailor at the bridal shop, a lot closer and great service. I love Jean's work and would totally recommend him in a second.

Hmmm. My tuxedo pants were too long. I considered for moment whether I should fix them myself…read more.. No, this was a tux. Unfortunately, my last tailor had moved on. With a sense of adventure, I rode out in search of a new one. To my delight, I found one in Kentlands. Big blue awning and glass windows. Wooden floors and fitting rooms. Fresh flowers on the counter. Spools everywhere. I walked in to see multiple tailors happily tinkering away at their craft. They smiled and serviced me immediately. After skillfully measuring the product, they tallied up the necessary alterations. They offered to not only fix the inseam, but to add slimmer contours and hems to match the modern cut of my tuxedo coat. These guys were good. I accepted. I returned the following week and I was very happy with the results. Everything looked and fit perfectly. Once again, service was fast and professional. And the price was exceptional. I now have a new go-to tailor. Thank you Kentlands Custom Tailor.

Mr. Kim is incredibly meticulous and detailed oriented. When altering skirts and dresses, he doesn't just shorten or lengthen them, he thoughtfully adjusts them with your body shape and fit in mind, which makes a huge difference. He clearly knows fabrics well and understands exactly how each material should be cleaned and handled. Although his English is not fluent, he is always friendly and professional and takes great care with everything--from everyday clothing to more delicate items. Turnaround time has always been reasonable, and my clothes consistently come back clean, pressed, and looking fabulous. :)

Pretty decent and quick service…read more I thought the pricing for dry cleaning was good. Since this is my first dry cleaning experience in the area, I cannot compare it to other places. But, the cost for three shirts, two suit jackets, and one pair of pants was about $37. Also, extra points because my items were ready first thing the following day. I'll admit that I originally came here because I needed a pair of pants altered. Unfortunately, I could not use the alteration services because I need 2- to 3-business day turnaround. While I have not tried a lot of dry cleaning places in the area, I have a feeling this will be my go to spot.
