We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to choose a table of our preference. The waitress quickly came over and grabbed our drink order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. She also informed us they work as a team so we can stop anyone when/if we need something. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment. This review isn't based on one visit. In fact I've decided time and time again I won't be back and have finally decided I'll never go back to any of them. Pointless to call and talk to a manager(did that once)but the tone of their voice sounded disinterested. When they offered me food I simply said I don't want food, I want you to do your job. This place in no different than what I expect and avoid from McDonald's. Drive thru talking over you repeatedly, simple request for mayo all the way and getting a burger slathered in mustard to having no one ask if they can help you if you need any condiments. But the piss poor attitude to simple request like napkins or spicy ketchup makes we want to tell them to keep it. Shame the only fast food places that have people who care about their jobs are Chick-fil-A and In & Out burger. read more

This is my favorite burger place. The fries are always just the way I like them. The employees are friendly and quick to get your order out. If you have never had a Whatacatch you should try it. The fish is nicely breaded and then fried up perfectly. My son got the Honey BBQChicken Strip sandwich and it was delicious. read more

Horrible. Ordered 3 burgers, paid $27.00 and received 2 that someone else ordered. Was in drive thru & had to pull through to get my order. Waited while 3 other cars behind me also waited. Probably they received my order. My last time here as service was terrible. read more

Finally it was my turn to be served. I placed my order, customized it (only modified one thing), and then paid for my order. I did request for it to go. I waited and waited. Other orders got called, and I kept waiting. Felt like I waited forever. Lots of other people got their orders. I was trying to be patient. Eventually I looked back on a counter further behind the front counter. I could see a bag with my order number on it. It had been sitting on that back counter for a few minutes. Employees were passing by it, but not bringing it to the front counter and calling the number out. I was about to just walk over to the register and tell the lady who had taken my order that my order back there was ready. Finally she turned toward my bag of food, looked at the order number, and called it out. I walked up to pick up the food. She acted like it was no big deal, didn't apologize for making me wait longer, and that was that. I took my food and headed back to the car. I had a schedule to keep, so I couldn't spend much time checking out my food. I trusted that it was made to their usual quality. I headed out of town. I got a little further down the road, and then opened the bag to start eating some of my fries. I grabbed an undercooked fry from the bag. I then took the whole fry box out of the bag. I realized that about a quarter of all the fries in the box were undercooked. Yuck. Then there were a few overcooked, brown, over-crispy fries in the box too! I was like wow...but I was too far away from the restaurant to bother to drive back and ask for new fries. Then I set the fries down and took out my cheeseburger to start enjoying that. I pulled the wrapper down and started biting into it. The burger itself was not bad, but the bun was burned. Yuck. Overall, this is not the service or quality of food I had expected from there. I should not have to wait excessively for my food when it's already packed and ready, nor should I have food that is not properly cooked. Next time I am passing through Waco, I won't go here for anything. No thanks.
