Uvalde is a pretty small town with not a ton of options like what I'm used since I'm from a big city. They certainly have a ton of fast food options and I was craving Whataburger which is close to a KFC, Dairy Queen, and a couple other small restaurants. It is about what you expect for a fast food experience. The workers at the drive thru got my name wrong like 3 times, but they at least apologized for it! For me the downside was that it did take a long time to wait for our food and that is kind of the case for other fast food spots in town. It was kind of odd to be asked to pull up past the drive thru window to wait for our food and we weren't really given directions on where to go which made it confusing. Regardless, the Patty Melt and fries I got were honestly pretty decent. The Patty Melt isn't my favorite that I've ever had and the bread didn't have the texture of one that is golden brown and crispy. Flavor wise I still enjoyed it a lot and the fries were a pleasant surprise. Perfectly salted and were crispy. They might make my top 3 favorite fast food fries all time list. read more

Quite possibly the best Whataburger I have ever had the pleasure to visit. I ordered a sweet and spicy burger with extra onions. The onions were sliced so masterfully I could watch the chef cry tears of joy while cutting them. There was one waitress there who very well may be the most exquisite view in west Texas, and I just came from Big Bend. She had some very big bends. She was a spicy Latina. No disrespect. It's just that she was beautiful. I trust manager Brandon with my life. He a real one. If I call him middle of the night, I feel as though he would immediately ask where the body is. They had my Family of 15 waiting 45 minutes for our food but yet handed out customers that order after us. Manager Angel tried his best to get our order out but His fellow manager Elisa came and refused service thinking that was the best solution. I don't understand the level of incompetence that staffs this whataburger. Everyone here is either rude, has a IQ of 10 or a combination of both. Multiple occasions I've placed mobile orders (small orders) and gave them plenty of time to complete it. Yet I get there, still wait 10-15 minutes for my food and somehow it comes out cold or incorrect, every single time. Multiple occasions I try to pick up from inside and no one will even acknowledge you at the front. Don't even get me started on the older lady that wears a mask that works at night for drive thru.. she is always rude and has 0 ability to be talking to customers. Food no a lot of fries and bad service nice but they forgot a lot of stuff they even gave me a drink with no ice

Today's review is not good I understand that they're understaffed but they forgot the gravy for our orders I never left the drive-through line told them where I was and asked for the gravy and one ketchup. They kept looking for us on the wrong side of the building it took me 15 minutes to get three gravies and one ketchup and even then I only got two gravy's and large amount of ketchup. Very good place to eat food made fresh.When you ask for fresh fries you get them 8 out of 10 times.
