After participating in 2024 Screaming Monkey endurance run in Keithville, I ended up back near Shreveport regional airport with a flight that evening. A friend told me Whataburger is the best burger ever. We'll see! I was like, alright, I'm game. Let's see what Whataburger has that others may not have. I was president, though, but it turned out to be a pretty good adventure. And so, around 11 AM, we arrive here at this Whataburger location near the Shreveport regional airport. The restaurant was clean and kind of mimic Burger King restaurant decor, dining hall set up. The ambience was good and casual as we walked in and presented our order to the staff here at Whataburger. I guess the name implies, what a burger! And how they make it so that it is one name, quite an interesting concept and so, I decide to get a double burger, combo classic or whatever. It came with french fries and a medium drink, but I upsized it to a large. I noticed that they had a self-serve drink fountain, so I was happy to fill it with whatever drink that they had on hand and refill as needed while I was here. I ended up having to refill three times, which is good and on the way out I feel for time so I could have some cold to drink while waiting for my flight. My friend had the patty melt combo, which was OK I guess. We hung out here for about an hour or so, before we left for the airport and he dropped me off there. I enjoyed the kindness of the restaurant itself because we could talk casually without having to talk loudly. I'm not sure if they have Wi-Fi but I use my phone's carrier to be online when I was here. The overall experience here at this Whataburger in Shreveport, Louisiana near the regional airport was decidedly OK. The service here was good and professional, while being friendly at the same time. Although the food was decided, OK, I enjoy the time I spent with my friend, a new friend that I met while in Keithville over the weekend. I enjoyed mostly the aspect of being here on a Sunday afternoon doing a half marathon the day before. It's nice that I got to enjoy one of Shreveport's hidden gems while on vacation, or as I was told. For the most part, though, it was a typical experience at a fast food joint, but at the same time it is different from what I'm used to because we don't have Whataburger in Hawaii. So I just took that in stride and enjoy the fact that I was a tourist in a strange land, as you can say. I was thankful for Yelp to help me mitigate such a minefield of tasty options in the community, but my friend had suggested Whataburger because he believed in it wholeheartedly, and he wanted to share that with me. I don't think that they have air condition, but it felt OK. What I enjoyed most was the unsweetened iced tea. But their soda was good too, especially after the aforementioned half marathon. Whataburger is a typical fast food restaurant here in the US mainland, or at least in the deep south where it is well known and plentiful. So, if you feel the urge to get your burger and fries on, and are in the area, consider coming to this Whataburger burger restaurant on this side of Shreveport, Louisiana. They''ll be glad you came by. This particular whataburger burger restaurant is located at 6707 Pines Road within the Shreveport regional Airport area. It is about 6 miles away and could be the best way to fuel yourself before hitting the airport. Or after arrival when you're famished and everything, you can stop by here to get your lunch or dinner on before heading to your next destination on the ground. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. If you're like me, the Shreveport bus can surely get you here, provided that you know the rules you need to take before, or after arriving if you're arriving at the airport. Or wherever your origin point is. If you're like many millions of people who can drive, they have a large enough generous amount of parking space for you to park in. Best bet is to come here on on peak days to ensure your prime parking space. Or if you don't drive, consider Uber or Lyft, since they are on demand whenever you are. Just come as you are during normal business hours and you'll be a-okay. My experience was good and hopefully it'll be good for you too. The food was delicious and the drinks help with that too. Can't complain too much though. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 3.0 stars for the prices and 5.0 stars for the location from the airport. 4.0 stars for the ambiance and the food. Support local! C'mon now...what in the world has happened to Whataburger? Used to be my favorite fast food, and this store was especially great, from the employees' friendly smiles to the awesome burgers and fries...not any more! :( My fries are cold 90% of the time and the last few burgers I've had were slathered in mustard (and I love mustard) so much so that I had to throw that soggy mess in the garbage. We had a to go order and an eat in order. They would not deliver the eat in order until the other order was ready. We all finished and still waiting on the hamburger and onion rings. Several people got their food before us. They argued when we asked about it. She said if one person just orders one patty they will get served first. The to go order arrived all in restaurant to eat. Instead of them changing it and making it right, they brought us bags to pack it ourselves. What a mess. All we got were excuses instead of "I am sorry. I will make it right". I've only left 2 bad reviews in my 48 years. I ordered a #13. No drink. The fries were cool (10:30 am)! The gravy was filled 1/2 full.

This place was horrid. I went inside and ordered; they made me wait for a minimum of 5 minutes and I was the first customer in line. There was no one else there! Then they messed up my order. Then I had to wait suns more just to get the onions that were supposed to be in my burger (which then got cold). AWFUL!! read more

For quick and predictable, this worked out fine. Only hiccup is parking was nonexistent in their lot. Thankfully, there's a big lot behind where we could park. Ordering was quick and food delivery was under 5 minutes. Bobby brought out our food and the condiment tray. Such a sweet guy who told us all about the flooding in southern Louisiana. I started reading the reviews and was shocked and could not believe what people were saying about Waraburger. I thought to myself there's no way, how could you ever write a bad review of the best burger chain in America well after going through the drive-through I figure it out. It's amazing how through a little speaker box in the drive-through they can make you feel so unwelcome. They can and did. If it weren't for not having them in Tennessee I would have just passed on through. Maybe I should have it would have saved me backtracking to get our order fixed. We ordered the kids meal with nothing but meat and cheese with a little mayo. Not sure what they heard but the burger came with extra mustard and extra pickles. Ugh !!! Then when you ask for it to be corrected you are treated even worse. I ordered the number 1 - Whataburger with cheese meal and the wife got the jalapeño burger. From what I could tell the rest of the order was correct. If you can fight through the garbage here you'll get a great burger, but not sure I'll do it again at this location. To the owners of Whataburger send some secret shoppers here and clean house and fix this store. I would think closing a location would be better then having one make the whole chain look bad. I ordered curbside and waited 25 minutes past the stated time on the app, so I call in to check on the status of my order. I could barely understand because their phone reception was horrible. You could see the employees standing around doing nothing, some even looked my way, yet no one acknowledge that I was there or acknowledged my wait time. When my food was delivered, the young lady with the red hair, walked to my car, didn't speak, gave me the food and walked away.....how rude! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Was on the road for 8 hours. Absolutely exhausted but saw the Whataburger sign (we don't have them in Georgia) and got happy. My happiness didn't last. Sat in the drive thru line for over 35 minutes. Finally got food but was told my malt would be another 10 minutes. WTH?!?! By the time I got back to the hotel food was cold-the order was wrong anyway-and my chocolate malt was actually a watered down vanilla shake. Will never get happy about Whataburger again. read more

We ordered two identical meals. When we arrived at our hotel to eat them after hours of travel, tired and hungry, one burger didn't have a meat patty and the other was a completely different type burger. Luckily, the wrong burger type was a double which solved our meatless problem. Long wait was understandable and the food tasted fine. It breaks my heart giving Whataburger one star, but is not the chain or the product, it was the horrible service at this particular location. We read the reviews but didn't think it was actually true all of the bad comments. Unfortunately they were, and we lived through them. The lady who takes the orders was amazingly rude, you can tell she does not love what she does. We order the kids' meal making sure to let them know without anything but the meat and the cheese and just a little bit of mayo, but what we got was extra pickles and extra mustard, how did that happen? Well, the lady was not paying attention while we explained what we wanted and I noticed that, even my husband asked her if she got all of the instructions and she sounded so annoyed. I am not asking her to pay for my meal, I'm asking her to deliver what I want as a paying customer. The worse part was going inside of the store to get what my child eats. The manager was there and I explained to her what has happened, she looked at the lady who takes the orders and she was not happy with me, the manager asked her to make it right and oh my, it took FOREVER for them to make the burger right. The rude lady didn't even say anything to the gentleman who was making the burgers, so I stood there waiting and waiting and waiting until she saw me looking for the manager and then she told the guy what I needed. I had heard that this place was better than the others. I heard wrong. I ordered a #1 with cheese. The fries were fantastic. Crispy and slightly salty which I love. They were hot and fresh. I truly enjoyed them. The burger was stone cold. The cheese wasn't even melted. I ate about 2/3 of it and tossed the rest. Never going here again and would not recommend. One hour in line, rude service, gave me fries when requested onion rings. burger was poorly constructed, not fresh, and skimped on the topping (patty melt). The local one I go to in Denton TX is far superior. Each burger is fresh; the cheese is melted, steamy, the beef plump with fat dripping with every bite, and the toppings are so loaded they fall out of the burger. And the bread isn't smashed. I came in the other night and it was okay. Reasonable amount of time. Today on July 16th the drive-thru took 30 minutes for me to get in and get my food. 30. Minutes. That is unacceptable. The drive-through lady isn't intelligent enough to know what two of each of the ketchup's means I drive around to eat my food and only have one of each. It takes so long to get the food in the drive thru somewhere between 5 and 10 different cars in front of me drove off. I've never seen a Whataburger take so long to get their food out.
