Worst drive thru experience ever! I ordered a double WB with xtra mustard and veggies and large onion rings. The drive thru cashier was rude, didn't smile or seem Excited about her job and had no clue to what "service with a smile" meant. After leaving the drive thru, I reviewed the receipt and my burger didn't have the extras veggies and there were fries in the bag. I had ordered onion rings. They even screwed up my drink. I ordered sprite. Not ice tea. Based on other 1 star reviews, this location needs better training on order accuracy and customer service. We stopped by Whataburger while in Tempe for graduation week, curious to finally try it. Sadly, the experience missed the mark. We ordered the #1 and #2 meals, plus an Avocado Bacon Burger without the bun and onion rings. The burger came with a bun, and the receipt didn't mention "no bun" even though the employee confirmed it when taking our order. To make things worse, the food was cold by the time we got it, which really took away from the meal. On top of that, one of the employees made us uncomfortable by repeatedly trying to chat and even coming up to our table. We didn't want to be rude, but it felt intrusive and awkward. Had the occasion to wait for a client and decided to stop at Whataburger for lunch. I never ever have Whataburger. It's not close to me, I don't think that they have that many locations in central Phoenix. This location was clean and had very retro fiberglass and vinyl seating. Reminded me of McDonald's or Taco Bell back in the 90s. I bought two Whataburger Jrs and added cheese. Their onions are diced and they always use mustard on their burgers. It's different... So this is our third time having WhatABurger. First time I had it in Houston, the food was cold by the time I ate it and it didn't taste like much. I was thinking this place is overrated lol. Then I tried it again in Dallas and loved it. The staff at this location was very nice. Special shoutout to Mikela and Krista for helping us with our order and questions. I don't eat beef which I'm sure they're probably more known for as a fast food chain. The worst burger joint of my life. I don't even know where to begin. If you went to high school in the '90s or early 2000s, you'll know what I'm talking about. Those cafeteria burgers with buns way too big and patties thinner than a strand of hair. Now imagine something worse. I went to this place around 11 PM, and I was the only one in the drive-thru. There's no way they could've messed up the order, right? I ordered a bacon burger. Got home, and guess what? No bacon. The fries looked just like McDonald's but tasted like they were two days old, and the chicken strip? Chewing on rubber would've been easier. And to top it all off, not a single napkin in the bag. I ordered in the drive thru and got the Hatch Chile burger meal, plus a cinnamon roll because "wait...you guys sell cinnamon rolls?!?" and took it back to the hotel. The drive thru took forever, which wouldn't have been an issue but the food wasn't all that hot once I received it. To my surprise, the cinnamon roll was good...like really good. So this review is from last Monday ... I am a little late posting. Anyhow, I waited in the drive through for 30+ minutes (not joking) but to make it worse, there was only two cars in front of me ... it wasn't like there was already a huge line when I pulled up. The total seemed really high for the very small order I placed which prompted me to inquire at the window why it was so high for two small breakfast sandwiches. The lady said because I added bacon. I told her that I did add on bacon for the apron $1.90 extra but that the total still didn't add up. She seemed super irritated as if I was trying to penny pinch. I made her go item by item so prove my point. Sure enough somehow they had added a $8+ meal to my order that wasn't even a breakfast item. Before this visit, I hadn't gone in for around a year because my last try, I went inside and ended up walking right back out. There was an overwhelming oder of rotten moldy mop water. Worst customer service ever! I've ordered food for pick up 3 times in a row and still had to wait over 40 minutes after the pick up time. The app is useless at this particular restaurant. This last time i ordered the chicken strips with the white gravy. And an extra side of gravy that i paid for. Got home and there was no white gravy. I called and the manager said if i would come back, they would replace the meal and give me gravy. I told him I also wanted a refund if I have to drive all the way back down there. I ordered the Whataburger, double burger, to see what the namesake would be all about. The burger itself was poorly assembled, with mustard dressing, pieces of iceberg lettuce, chopped onions and wet pickles. The quality control was incredibly poor and it looks like a terrible, sad burger. It tasted like one too, and I found myself more and more miserable with every bite. The place itself was clean, simple, and among the rush hour things seemed to work out. However, workers appeared to be confused at times, and there was quite a delay in getting orders.
