Before maybe 3 months ago, I had only ever been to Whataburger for Honey-butter Chicken Biscuits at 3 in the morning as a final bad decision on my way home from the bar. However, I've since tried and fell in love with their A-1 Thick & Hearty Burger. Its delicious. Also, you can't pass up the spicy ketchup. At home, I mix ketchup and Sriracha as my go to fries condiment, so this just saves me the trouble. It's truly embarrassing when I think about how many times I've hit this place up...but when you live in the burbs and tend to stay up late, your options get pretty limited. My first few experiences with Whataburger were huge disappointments and I've come to discover that it was probably a location thing. Since moving to Pearland, I've almost entirely changed my mind. The food is nothing if not consistent, but I have to say I'm disappointed that it seems like every time I find a sandwich I !totally love! they take it off the menu either seasonally, or permanently a la A1 burger. The fries look exactly like mcdonalds fries, but taste very different. Also, the ketchup they serve them with is somehow dramatically different as well. and WHATEVER YOU DO do not mix the fries/ketchup at the two places. Regular ketchup or McD's ketchup is weird on these fries, and vice versa. I know fast food fries are truly the lowest common denominator of the drive thru world, but its like toothpaste and OJ when you pair them incorrectly. I have really warmed up to their breakfast, but only for one item: Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. The taquitos, etc. will do the trick but don't hold a candle to the biscuit sandwiches across the road. But the chicken biscuit is killer! Its a breaded chicken tender with this super sweet buttery honey drizzle on a soft and hot biscuit. Almost every time we leave a downtown concert super late, I end up driving through for 1 or 3 of these things (oh yeah, they serve breakfast starting at 11pm!). The drive thru service is sort of a mixed bag. Half really friendly young kids truly excited to help you, half time-worn veterans that are going through the robotic motions and totally slaying quota. No real complaints...and if that A1 burger ever comes back, get one...seriously. read more

HORRIBLE!! Worst ever! Took 40 minutes to even get to order our food. Once we finally get to order the girl answers and does nothing but laugh and we couldn't even get our order in cause she was laughing she didn't get our order even right at that. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a Whataburger. If I could give no stars I definitely would. Frys were cold after waiting another 20 minutes for the food we were over it by that time. The staff here is extremely friendly, but the food is very inconsistent. I've gotten some pretty sad looking food burgers here before, even for fast food burgers. The only reason I come back, besides Whataburger being one of the only convenient late-night restaurants in my area, is because the customer service compared to the Shadow Creek location is outstanding. read more

I was out shopping and had only a short amount of time to get lunch and stopped by this Whataburger for a quick bite. The wait time is like any other Whataburger. However, when the burger came out, the meat patties were dried like they have been on the griller for a long time. Whatever happened to making burgers to order?! I love Whataburger. But this particular sight has THE WORST staff I've ever run across with any food chain anywhere. I ordered 3 sandwiches on their app for curbside pick up for 9:10 pm, I waited until 9:30 before I entered the restaurant to see what the hell was going on. Mind you that I'd watched people pull up, order, and drive away...all after we'd been there for 20mins. This location has improved greatly since my last visit. Line was long, but I got through relatively fast, considering how hot and fresh my entire order is. Visiting Texas for a wedding, and we were looking for a quick lunch on our check-in day and one of the locals told us to check this place out... We ended up coming back like 3 more times throughout our trip. The burgers were amazing... nothing like a fancy gourmet restaurant, but a step above a Wendys/Burger King. The burgers themselves are bigger than typical fast food places. And the toppings were just right each time. I'm sad we don't have one of these in the Northeast, but also thankful or my waistline may hate me later on! Definitely a great recommendation and I'll be back next time I'm in the south! read more

I'm not one for complaining publicly when I receive bad service but this is an exception. Came here because my kids love it. Ordered my meal at 1:19 pm. Didn't get it until 25 minutes later. Only because I had to go and inquire why several people that came after me where getting their food and we are still waiting. The manager offered no apologies but went to check and told me our order will be out shortly. When it did arrive, some items were wrong or missing. Went to the manager again to fix. Still no apologies for the inconvenience. I ordered a shake which had been made and sitting out while my order was not being processed. When I went to see why I hadn't gotten my shake, they tried to give me the one that had been sitting out, which by now had been melted. I had to ask for a fresh one to be made. Too much for today. This knockoff food has my stomach doing all sorts of acrobatics. They don't give you burgers they give you salads between a bun. I'll have to remind myself not to buy food on a whim again. You would think with Five Guys across the street they would do better but nope. The flavor isn't an issue but there's no way that was real meat. I'll be suffering all day behind this. Oh and the amount of fries is a joke plus they must be the frozen kind. When you get a chance make your own fries at home with just a small potato and you'll see what I mean. Customer service experience was non existent. Cashier Matilda claimed to be the manager, even though the kitchen was full of workers. Should have been my first clue. I love Whataburger. This location used to be "Okay" with their service. All Whataburger locations get busy after midnight, I get that. However, over the past two weeks this location has gone severely downhill in the service department. There is one cashier in particular who can never remember what I order, ever. Nor can they remember what anyone else ordered apparently as I've seen them jogging back and forth between cars asking people what they ordered. Isn't that what your automated system is for? As I'm writing this the cashier has asked me 4 (FOUR) times what I ordered, I'm not lying. I hate to write reviews like this but service such as this from a reputable establishment like Whataburger is unacceptable. Not to mention I'm getting home from working the night shift, tired, and I've waited 30 minutes for a single combo meal. The girl by the name of Mayonessa was very rude she doesn't understand the values of the customer is always right .i accidentally forgot to say plain and dry so when I told her she said ok . she brought me my burger and told me that my burger was already made so I asked her what could she do and she just looked at me .
