I was heading home from College Station after a Master Naturalist conference. I'd skipped breakfast that morning, turning down my host's kind offer--a decision I quickly regretted. Halfway home, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, I was suddenly both hungry and queasy. I asked Siri to "find food near me," but she kept trying to send me miles off my route. Then, like a beacon, I spotted a Whataburger sign in the distance and made a beeline for it. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not big on fast food. Fortunately, Whataburger is the exception. I've always loved their food, and even after the company's sale to outsiders, I haven't noticed any change in quality. I really hope my doctor doesn't check Yelp, because the moment I walked in and saw the sign for a Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake, I knew resistance was futile. I ordered a medium--though I was absolutely eyeing the large--and it was incredible. Cold, creamy, and perfectly sweet, it hit the spot. For my meal, I went with the Avocado Bacon Burger because it just sounded right. When it arrived, it was served on thick Texas toast like a patty melt, loaded with crispy bacon and delicious grilled onions. It was gloriously messy--and I didn't care one bit. I paired it with a side of onion rings, the same classic ones I've enjoyed for years. This particular Whataburger is attached to a truck-stop-style gas station but has its own entrance and the feel of a standalone restaurant. Quite unhappy with this location. Just a week ago I told the morning manager that it was a really well ran location. 4 prior stops here were great. Tonight, changed all those good experiences. I ordered online and sat in the lobby waiting. 7 orders all before I ordered received their food. I was next. 15 minutes roll by and still no food. The employee that was handing out all the orders decided to start talking to the employees cooking the food. 5 more minutes later, the employee taking orders felt sorry for me and asked if I was waiting for an order. Ordered a number 13( chicken box combo) and after waiting a while finally got my number 13 went down the road and opened up the box only to find fries, bread, and gravy. NO CHICKEN. I ordered chicken and got bread and potatoes instead. These overly caloric saturated employees of the whataburger deprived me of my chicken and probably ate it to add to their ever increasing blubber mass. read more

Went through the drive thru at this Whataburger. The wait time wasn't bad but it probably depends on the time that you go. The fries were good. They were fresh and crispy. The hamburger was tasty but the meat was a little thin and it seemed to be filled with lots of lettuce and onion as filler. I went inside briefly. It was a good size for a place attached to a gas station. It wasn't crowded but that also probably depends on the time that you go. Overall was a good experience for fast food. read more

Coming from College Station after a football game at Texas A&M We decided to stop at waterburger to get something to eat. We finally got to the menu board the lady took our order then she came back on and told us to hold on ahold on and then she came back on and asked us what did we want to order . Then some other guy came on sounding pretty rude and we just Decided to drive off because we didn't want to take a chance of our food being tampered with. This was our first food stop after we landed in Texas. This was our first time in Texas and our first time eating Whataburger. I was really excited to try it because my best friend raves about them since she's Texas-born and raised. I got the single cheeseburger with grilled onions bacon and mushrooms. And got the spicy ketchup to dip my fries. Unfortunately I found it to be mediocre and somewhat bland. Maybe it's because my bestie had built it up so much??? Always consistantly good. HOWEVER noticed the worker sweeping dumping the dust pan hitting with his hand then to continue working touching ketchups to fill up that compartment. This is a new location and it's part of a large truck stop. Service is very good and they have ample parking. It's almost easier to leave your vehicle at the gas pump and walk in than to park in a regular parking spot. I have been here twice now since they opened. First time my usual hamburger was loading up with a large thick slice of meat. Upon my second visit I found the slice of hamburger meat resembled a thin slice of ham like on a cold cut sandwich. You have to get the double meat burger since it's no longer a true original Texas Company to get what you use to get. It's not like it use to be. read more

Just went to this Whataburger since I was hungry. The service was fast and easy. The place looked like it was a brand new place, not even dirty at all. The food was probably the best part. Fries had the right amount of salt and the burger was very approved. 5 stars! Edit: The workers are probably the nicest workers in Central Texas. They would let you get however how much ketchup you want and they would give you suggestions on how to get to our location. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Well you can if you like slow service, incorrect order, and cold food. Found out 3 employees were all on break at the same time together in a parked car in the back while only 1 or 2 were in the kitchen. Waited 10 min for someone to come to the counter to take out orders. Would have left but there wasn't many other options. Customers need to show respect to employees, there was a customer being rude to the cashier for no reason and and using offensive slurs. Im pretty sure there was another customer harassing the cashier in a sexual manner. That's not right at all. These employees want whats best for their customers but it's different when these types of customers give them a hard time. read more

Whataburger Paige is a GREAT spot that constantly represents! Plus, it's connected to a pilot that has a GREAT convenience store and showers and bathrooms and places to park an 18 wheeler or truck with camper for the night. read more

Disappointed that they got my order wrong the last 2 times. Last time they gave mustard and that's not what I ordered...I do not like mustard... This time they didn't put the 2 apple pies I ordered in my bag!... And I saw another customer parking their car to go inside and get her order corrected. I know they are brand new, but reading is fundamental. If the employees would just read the screen/ticket they could do better. Brand new location and we are so happy to have them! The drive through is slow but I am sure people are still learning. Been here 4 times and 3 times my order has been wrong and the food horrible. My burger was raw yesterday. My fries tasted like old grease and I'm pretty sure my fries had been old and refried. I would have gone straight back but I didn't realize it until I made it all the way home. I tried calling several times today to let them know..... No one answers the phone here.
